Gulfstrand Up -

Located in the heart of Grayton Beach, Gulfstrand Up is a charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath duplex that sleeps 9 guests, with 2 queens, 1 full, 1 twin, and a queen sofa sleeper with memory foam mattress. These duplexes have become a favorite family destination in recent years. Beachy decor with comfortable furnishings lets you relax and enjoy the freedom of being at the beach. New interior paint throughout, complete kitchen remodel with new cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances, completely remodeled bathrooms, new bedroom flooring, new living room furniture, new bedding, new flat screen TV's in the living room and master bedroom. The community pool is 30' x 24. Easy beach access using the Grayton boardwalk just steps away. Parking for 1 vehicle, with extra parking on the east side of the community pool.

Convenient to the beach and lake

Best thing about this place is its proximity to the gulf and the lake!! We would definitely stay here again for that reason alone. It’s a very short walk to the beach which we absolutely loved. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and don’t forget your blow dryer because there’s not one in the unit. Kitchen has minimal utensils and no Tupperware which was a little inconvenient but overall I would recommend this place.

This is the perfect place to stay. Close to the beach and restaurants. The pool was nice. A great place for all ages, would definitely stay here again!

Amazing location, Amazing place!

The location is absolutely amazing, a very quick walk to the beach and very quick walk to restaurants and shops. Parking was a bit of an issue for more than 1 car, but there is a tram/shuttle that made it easy if the pool spots aren't available. Overall this place is amazing, and we will definitely be returning sometime in the future!

Beach town experience

We loved the quaint little beach town atmosphere. The condo had minimal decor, and was simple and clean. The beach access was convenient. The pool was nice and clean also!

Brief Getaway

Property was very nice and super close to the beach. Loved the big porch deck. Quiet and relaxing, which is what we wanted for this trip. Will defenitley go back to this property if available on my next trip to Grayton Beach.

Perfect place to stay for a little get away!

The property was excellent. Just a short walk to the beach and other amenities. I would recommend renting bikes or a golf cart for your stay, as long as there will be ample room to park it. It makes exploring the neighboring towns a lot easier!

Excellent location

This was a great property with an excellent location. The costal lake is perfect as a natural kiddie pool and the beautiful emerald cost water can’t be beat. Access to a pool is also a huge plus. Our kids are 6 and 4 and they had a great time. The large kitchen has everything you need to cook at home and avoid the dinner crowds at Destin or Panama City

Grayton Beach heaven

Two houses to walk to the stunning water. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and very clean. The heated pool was amazing too. We had everything we needed to cook our meals but the Red Bar and Chringo’s are two awesome places to eat and just around the corner. The only issue we had are the beds and the couches are not as comfortable as they could be.

Fall Break in Grayton

The space was great for 5 adults! Having a washer and dryer was nice, and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved sitting on the deck each morning and looking at the amazing gulf view. You could walk or take the trolley anywhere you needed to go, though we did rent a golf cart so we could explore neighboring towns. Condo could use a little TLC/maintenance but overall was perfect for what we were looking for.

Lots of space and a nice remodel

Lots of space for our group of 8. We stayed in Gulfstrand Down in 2014 and the remodel is a great improvement. The new appliances were nice; lots of room in the fridge. The new tile throughout made it easy to clean up all the sand we tracked in. As always, the beach was awesome. Very close walk to the beach and a pool right across the street. Grayton Beach is a great community and I'd recommend it to anyone!

Great Spring Break family getaway

Our family of 5 absolutely loved our stay on Grayton Beach. The check in/out process was super easy and the house was as advertised. Incredibly convenient location with access to pool across the street (we could watch our older kids swim from the balcony) and the beach was easy to access via the boardwalk. Restaurants and shops were easily walkable -- definitely recommend renting a golf cart or bicycles to make your way around. The floor did get quite sandy, but we just swept several times while were there. Would have been nice to have a king bed in the master, but not sure one would fit. No cookie sheet in the kitchen, would be an easy add. Other than those tweaks, loved our stay and will be returning to G Beach!

The Property was ok.

Overall the property did exactly what we needed it to do. Some things to consider; the parking is very small and will not fully accommodate both lower and upper vehicles if they are large. The dryer takes forever to dry clothes. If you plan to cook the pots and pans are understandable very cheap but will get the job done. This place is all about location and does not offer many frills. Overall a high 3 stars and gave it a 4; but look around as something further from the coast may be a little more cozy.

Close to beach but terrible beds

The rental was clean and in a great location. Only a few steps to the beach boardwalk! The neighborhood was quiet and the heated pool was nice. Our only complaint was the mattresses. Two had old box springs that were uncomfortable and loud. Every time you rolled over you woke up. Also, the fold out couch was advertised as memory foam, it is NOT! It is an old dirty, thin mattress. Because of the poor sleep, we sadly won't rent here again.

Short trip with the kids

I took a few nights to escape to the beach with 5 kids. The size of the rooms was good and location to the beach was perfect! We could easily walk back and forth and bike up to some good restaurants and for ice cream. The deck is nice and you can see the water from there. The pool was across the street, not large but it was warm and felt great after a long day at the beach. Parking was a little tight for a large vehicle, but all of the neighbors were very nice. Only down side was the run off in the water looks brown when the tide goes out, so we had to walk through brown water to get to the clean side in the afternoons. I would suggest some good floor mats at all the doors, so we don’t track as much sand inside. I swept and it’s good there is not much carpet but mats would help!

Disappointing and not comfortable

The only thing going for this property is its location and proximity to the beach. Upon arrival, there was a large and very alive roach in the kitchen. And then more roaches throughout our stay. A large and active wasp nest on the eaves of the patio making it impossible for us to use half of the patio. We let the property manger know about each of these problems, and while we did receive a prompt reply, no action was taken. The worst part of the stay though were the beds. They were awful. I bet prisoners have more comfortable beds than what we were subjected to. The beds were very hard, as were the pillows. The bedsheets were so scratchy and old, it felt like we were sleeping between pieces of cheap construction paper. I think what was most disappointing is that multiple people have complained about the poor quality of the beds over the last couple of years and the owners have yet to care to do anything about it. The rest of the furniture in the unit was cheap and uncomfortable, and only 2 old plastic chairs on the patio. Toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags were not supplied, and we did not know until we asked. This is the only VRBO we’ve ever stayed in where necessities were not provided. The whole place feels like the owners care only about making money and not at all about their guests having a good experience or being able to be comfortable. For all of these reasons, we will not be staying here again nor would we recommend anyone else staying here.

Lovely Get Away

We really enjoyed our short get away to Grayton in Gulfstrand Up. The property owners were quick to answer any questions. The property is so close to the beach and situated such that we could walk to a variety of restaurants.
