House is as advertised. I can only speak for the bed i slept in, king size green sheets, but it was very comfortable! Plenty of room at the table to play games and cards. Projector was nice to connect a laptop and watch football or play video games. The velociraptor sign coming into the property is awesome and had me lol'ing. Nice big firepit for bonfires. The rocking chairs on the porch were nice to chill and enjoy the outdoors.My buddies and I do guys trips every year and we will likely stay again. Thanks!

Nice, quiet cabin with plenty of room. Conveniently close to Oscoda and Tawas. Would defiantly stay there again.

Nice clean cabin in the woods. Great location for driving to fish on Au Sable River. Beds were comfortable. Well stocked bathroom and kitchen amenities. We enjoyed everything about location and hope to stay again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay here, it was a great location, affordable and clean. Great communication with the host, kitchen was stocked but couldn’t find dish towels, so we just used the bathroom hand towels and wash cloths which there was plenty of. The yard could use some love, but the fire pit was great, the porch is amazing and the barn with all the games (and a bar) was so much fun! We would definitely stay here again!

Hideout in the woods is great. Steve is great and responds quickly to any questions. This is our second time staying. Great place for our large group of friends for our winter trip. We enjoyed hanging out in the barn playing pool, darts and foosball. The propane heaters were very helpful.

Great weekend getaway

This is the 2nd time we stayed, and will book again for our next winter get away. Great place and location. We have up to 8 adults, plenty of room.

This place was tucked into the woods, but was such a great location and close to town. Very private. I stayed there with family while in town for a wedding. We had plenty of room. Communication with the host was easy and smooth. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect short stay

My extended family and I were in the area for a wedding and needed a place that could house 6 adults and 7 kids ranging in age from 1-7. This was a great find and we loved utilizing the outdoor fire pit.

We had two couples, one baby, and two dogs out for a family reunion over Labor Day weekend. You can tell that the owners really pride themselves on the history of the place because there are family stories throughout. There are many rooms and spaces to hang out comfortably, although the layout is a bit funky—felt like a maze inside. They have a Christmas tree in the living room, but apparently hasn’t worked since before April as there was comments in the guest book about it not working. The living room light and fan didn’t work (also indicated in guest book from past guests) and I communicated that to the owner but wasn’t able to be fixed during our stay. Same for the projector room, very dark to walk around. A/C works, but only in common spaces. All bedrooms get very hot at night so be ready to get warm. One of the bedroom fans didn’t work as well. Beds were very comfortable which was a plus. Another downside was that there was no cable, so no luck watching any games. The game area is fun and got some use, although there was only one or two pool sticks that were somewhat usable. Tried communicating these things to the owner and got a very small refund back, but didn’t like how some basic things that should be expected in a house (like lighting) is dismissed for so long, as indicated in the guest book. Likely won’t come back.

Great place for a big family

We literally utilized every amenity, from the house to the movie room, to the lovely front porch and fire ring, we had steak dinner on the fire pit grill and the hideout salloon was a total blast! We played all the games danced for hours. We most definitely will be back. Close to everything there is to do in Oscoda.

Comfortable beds

We were very comfortable, it was nice having all the space we each had our own bedroom and played at the table in the kitchen.
