The River House @ 102 is conveniently located in downtown Oscoda, MI on the AuSable River! Our coastal inspired decor will have you ready to kick back, relax and cast a line or two! The River House @ 102 is a 3 bdrm/1 bath fully furnished home ready for the whole family to enjoy! Our rooms bring the serenity and beauty of the outside in. They are all well appointed with pillow top mattresses and new bedding (1-king, 2-queen). With 50' of frontage on the AuSable River with a seawall & dock to secure pontoon, speed boat, fishing boat or jet skis! Only a short 5 minute boat ride to access the turquoise waters of Lake Huron. Here to fish? You'll find bass, walleye, perch and steel-head right in your backyard! Walking distance to restaurants, shops, ice cream and downtown beaches etc. Lots of family fun provided with board games, cornhole, ladder ball, beach caddy with chairs, toys & towels, fishing poles/small tackle box, chairs and hammocks. Fully stocked kitchen, heat/central air, bathroom linens, televisions, bedding, outdoor grill and wifi available. Soak up every second of your getaway with us at The River House @ 102! Looking for more space for larger groups book the River Sweet Cottage located next door.
This location comes with the following:
Kayaks, paddles & life jackets multiple sizes, 4 adirondack chairs, Outdoor fire-pit, Corn-hole set, ladder-ball set, Cooler, Gas grill. Laundry pickup and drop off service available upon request.

For good swimmers this location can be good for snorkeling, the water is clear and can normally spot fish swimming out front. Sit back and enjoy the fresh air, refreshing water and clear skies at night. Get ready to RELAX, UNWIND and drop a LINE or two!

Perfect little A-Frame with all you need!

This cottage is the sweetest little property. We had such a good time at this location which is just off the bridge, directly on the AuSable river. You can watch the boats/tubers from the large deck with sofa, /chairs, or walk downtown, or visit the beach all by foot. The house is renovated in a luxurious way with fun decor. The beds and bedding are hotel quality. This house is very well-stocked and even had items we didnt even think about---bikes, canoes, bluetooth speaker, K-Cups, etc. The owner is close by and very willing to help. She invited us to use her waterfront and toys. Will certainly stay here again when visiting family in the area!

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I stayed at your home for our anniversary and invited my sister and brother and thejr spouses to celebrate too. The house was perfect and the owners were amazing. I would definitely stay again.

Great place for my family to relax. Plenty of fishing on the property. Hiking and scenic areas nearby. Jerry and Jen are the best hosts. Very attentive and helpful. They thin of everything. Great place to unwind.

Best hosts ever!

We've stayed at rental properties all over, in this and other countries, and Jerry and Jen are probably the best hosts we've ever had. I was nervous about having the hosts right next door, but it turned out to be such a bonus as they were incredibly helpful and friendly and made us and our guests feel so welcome. The highlight of the trip for our kids was all the fun they had on the Maui mat that Jerry pulled out for them to use on the river! The house was was lovely, clean, and incredibly well-appointed...it had everything you'd need, and even some stuff you didn't realized you'd need! The location was perfect for quick bike rides into town for ice cream or the lake beach, fishing off the dock, or kayaking the river or boating to the lake. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Oscoda Getaway

Jen & Jerry are 2 of the kindest people I’ve ever met and did everything to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The house was the perfect size for our family of 5, it was extremely clean and stocked with lots of things you would forget at home. The location on the river was awesome, the kids could have fished all day and didn’t want to leave. Thank you Jen & Jerry for your hospitality and an amazing place to stay, we’ll definitely be coming back!

Perfect river house

Our family loved this house. Being right on the river was amazing. All the extras available made it so much fun for the family. We were able to fish right off the dock and we were planning on tubing, but last minute since we had enough kayaks launched right at the house and went upriver and back down, much more convenient. We enjoyed the games on the deck along with several of the board games and even attempted one of the puzzles, but kept busy and never got a chance to finish it. Used the bikes to bike into town and beach. The bedding was comfortable and we were surprised to find a pullout sofa. Our 3 kids were all able to have their own beds. All of the amenities were top notch, like you would find at your own house, not a rental trying to cut corners. My phone port broke.....could not charge with my charger, I was rescued by the cordless chargers supplied. I can honestly say this was the most thoughtfully furnished house. They though of everything and it was there. Jerry and Jen were helpful in giving ideas and suggestions and we appreciated it. If we come back to the area, we would definitely stay again.

This place on the river is excellent! Clean, nicely furnished and has a lovely outdoor deck space to enjoy. Stayed here last year also with our grandkids and they loved it too.

Loved the river front

Super cute A frame house, right on the Au Sable River. Nothing was missed in this house. My 12 yo fished from the back yard for 3 straight days and also magnet fished from the bridge. Very nice and accomodating owners. The only negative was the bathroom barn door slowly slid open all the time. There was a rope type lock but it didn't work great. But this could be an easy fix with a hook and eye lock. Overall, great experince at the river house. Perfect for friends or family.

Cozy fun cottage!

Extended Weekend Stay

Stayed here with the wife and 2 year old for a long weekend. Very short drive to the beach, and about 15 minute drive to Tawas. Our 2 year old likes waking up in the middle of the night and wandering around, so she ended up sleeping downstairs on the couch instead of the upstairs bedrooms. There’s also a pullout couch on the main floor, so the space is very accommodating!

Awesome stay at a beautiful property!

The house was clean and tidy as advertised and stocked with plenty of amenities. Communication with the owners was always smooth and they are genuinely good people. The house is right on the river and we enjoyed fishing and hanging out riverside. I will definitely be looking for this place on my next trip to Oscoda!

Perfect getaway

5 stars!! Cute, comfy, and everything you need. Super comfortable beds. Very clean. Had all the spices, utensils, cookware you could need. The decor is great. Super clean. Highly recommended. Just a few feet from the river. Walking distance to the Au Sable Inn - great food. Owner was friendly and easy communication. Did I mention the great homeade cookies and wine upon arrival. Awesome coffee bar as well to start the day off. Thank you again Jerry and Jenny.

We enjoy traveling, are avid sports fans, love boating & fishing especially on Lake Huron or the AuSable River and relaxing outside by a bonfire.

Our property is all about the location without skimping on comfort. You'll have access to the AuSable River or Lake Huron, parking for your boat or jet ski directly in front of the house with all the comforts of home. Our home is walking distance to restaurants, beaches, ice cream shops and multiple fishing spots. Our home is open year round. So go on a fall color tour check out the steelhead fishing or pack up your snow shoes, cross country skis or snowmobiles and hit the trails this winter about 1/2 mile from the house. The opportunities are endless!
Our home is located at the finish line for the annual AuSable River Canoe Marathon, the start of Sawyer canoe where his first canoes were built and was later home to Tiny's AuSable Bait and Tackle.
