Yes, Cocohut is getting renovated (in between stays) - there just haven't been many gaps in the schedule so far this year ;-) Our guests are loving the upgrades, so we're excited to keep them coming.

I’m glad you managed to relax! You were stressed when I greeted you. And what you said to me at departure, said a lot about your outlook on life: 'We only had 1 perfect sunset.’ Not sure what meets your criteria for an enjoyable sunset, but I love them all! As for your comments: 1. As stated in 2 places in our listing - the small upstairs deck is off limits to guests for their safety. That’s why the door to it is locked by a key that I keep. 2. I provide my personal cell number to all guests so that, if anything crops up, they can contact me. 3. We have replaced carpets with wooden floors to improve overall cleanliness. And it's a beach house, so sand inevitably gets tracked in, and when it does every speck is visible. 4. The fact that sand under the sofa stressed you out enough to write about it, proves that you actually had nothing substantial to complain about; and that the house was, in fact, so clean that you had to get under the sofa to find a ‘problem’! 5. Our guests consistently thank us for sharing our kitchen cabinets containing jars and shakers of spices, seasonings, etc. They understand that it’s impossible to clean out those cabinets in between guests and they focus on the positives - convenience and generosity. Putting locks on those cabinets would spare me from complainers, but inconvenience everyone else. I choose to be considerate, as I find our guests generally are too! 6. Our boardwalk has no railings: just like all the other homes on the beach. The sand/dune is ~3 feet below. If you need protection from that risk, then mainland resorts are a better choice for you. Our photos clearly show that the deck boards on it are weathered. 7. The folks who have the best time, sit on our deck to soak in the gorgeous 180 degree view of the water, and to be awed by the sunsets that unfold all around and over them. The person who had the worst time, couldn’t enjoy those same sunsets because he was too busy moaning and complaining about the boardwalk decking/railing! On that note, the sun's about to set, and however it unfolds, it’s going to be perfect from our deck!

‘Private, breathtaking and relaxing’ is a great combination! The county treats for bugs - sprays and standing water treatment. Once in a while they can flair up though - if there’s been a long series of deluges in quick succession. For those evenings, the screened-in lanai is more relaxing than the deck. Looking forward to welcoming you back.

Thank you Carolyn. ‘Exceptional’ is what we love to hear. The 4th bedroom has the same, cooling gel, memory foam mattresses that we have throughout the house. We replaced them all at the same time. The 4th bedroom is adjacent to one of the master suites. They both have their own, separate, entry/exit doors from the main living area. There is an adjoining door between the rooms that can be locked, should guests require 100% privacy from those they've decided to share the house with. We don't believe in creating needless landfill by disposing of appliances that are working perfectly, so we won't be replacing the 2nd coffee maker, that we bought earlier this year.
