This 2 bedroom 2 bath 1220 square foot house sits on about a half acre of land right on Birch lake with a beautiful sandy beach with a gradual slope in the water great for recreation water sports. Outfitted with a dock, it is the perfect place to vacation. The house is newly remolded with an upgraded master bath and walk in showers with newly remolded kitchen with quartz counter tops and a separate utility room with washer and dryer. Bathrooms are large and spacious. Living room has big screen TV and there are two large picture windows facing the lake for great views. The two rooms have queen size beds with lots of space. The house has Wifi for guests to use.

Great cottage on a peaceful, lovely lake

The cottage/beach house is beautifully appointed and very inviting. Great modern kitchen and bathrooms too. The lake is lovely; it would've been even better if there was furniture and/or a deck to sit outside to enjoy the peaceful view. Easy to communicate with the owner/manager. I would definitely recommend this listing.

Tiny slice of Heaven

Peaceful. It was amazing to look out at a beautiful calm lake each morning and walk for quite some time in the shallow water to cool off. The setting is magnificent. My three year old grandson loved the fact he could stand in the water and play without wearing his life vest (with me, of course, by his side the entire time). The house is updated, clean and had everything we needed to make it home away from home for the week. I would highly recommend this property and would return if given the chance.

wonderful property

beautiful area right on the water. nice yard with fire pit and very clean and relaxing. thoroughly enjoyed our stay. great location to all local activities. had a great time!

Fantastic Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay in this property on Birch Lake. First of all, the home is *beautifully,* thoughtfully designed and well appointed. It has everything you need for a week at the lake. The lake itself was perfect for our two young kids. We took our kayaks, and they both learned to use them in very shallow, calm, clear, warm water. They spent hours upon hours doing not much of anything in the lake. Oh, and you get little whiffs of the mint growing at the lake's edge any time you're out in the back yard. This lake neighborhood is quiet and residential. The neighbors were friendly. The broader area is incredible, too. Elk Rapids has a nice little downtown shopping area. This property is very close to 31, making treks to the Nature Preserve or Charlevoix, or down to Meijer (if you need it) or Traverse City really easy. We would definitely return to this property, and recommend it for couples or small families.
