Ideal location in the Rockridge/Claremont area: leafy residential street steps away from amazing shopping and restaurants on College Ave, 10 min walk to SF Bay area rail system (Rockridge BART station), 2 min from Bus No 51 to UC Berkeley, across the street from Casual Carpool and the E Bus, which gets you to San Francisco in 20 min. No car needed! Short bike ride to downtown Berkeley and UC campus.
Centrally located to access Napa/Sonoma wineries, Redwoods, Marin County and many more tourist attractions.

Charming and bright in-law detached cottage, situated in a year round green backyard behind a main house, has two gorgeous French doors and private flat entrance suitable for people with limited mobility. Though our home sits in among busy streets, you come to a quiet oasis. Ideal for one and a cozy fit for two guests.
Enjoy our big flat screen TV from a Murphy full size bed with integrated storage or from a double drop-leaf table that maximize the living space. High speed Internet is available.
Our efficiency kitchenette with electric cook top, under counter fridge, microwave, coffee maker, utensils, plates and silverware is comfortable for simple cooking. We make sure you have an array of spices, oils, vinegar, coffees, teas, sugar and creamers and a beautiful welcome basket to satisfy your salty or sweet tooth. Enjoy your meals at our sunny private patio table right next to the cottage.
Newly remodeled full bathroom (shower only), plenty of storage. This place provides delightful leisure for any traveler.

Street parking is available and free on weekends, limited Mon-Fri to two hours parking from 8am till 6pm (car has to be moved between 10am and 4pm). Unrestricted parking is available a few blocks away on Brookside Ave (east of Claremont Ave), Hillcrest Road and Uplands.

The owner and staff will interact with you as much as you need. We are very responsive team. The owner would love to meet you if it's convenient, and she will be happy to give you any information you request.
We may have full privacy if that is your preference.

I had a wonderful experience during the couple of months I spent in Ellen's cottage. Let me tell you why:
First, the cottage is nicely arranged and composed; fully equipped and with a very comfortable bed!
Then, the neighborhood is peaceful and the proximity to campus without being in the crowd, plus public transports and stores is enjoyable.
Finally, not only Ellen has a great experience of life and sense of humor to share but she can also speak many languages and will be delighted to help you.
