Cheaper than beach first row houses, but only 25 yards further from the beach with an almost identical view and feel (no roads to cross, we're on the beach side of the main road). The wind and ocean spray are there. That magical beachy smell of the ocean.... Our roomy, beachy comfortable 2nd row Gulf of Mexico house with full amenities including a kitchen full of utensils and dishes, a full sized washer and dryer, three large bedrooms down and a giant studio/playroom/room-full-of-4-giant-bunkbeds with a full bath upstairs is just 75 yards to the beach on the beach side of San Luis Pass Road. You can listen to the waves all night! The house has a large kitchen table and a newly remodeled open kitchen so everyone can work together to make dinner.

It has great WiFi with smart TV's (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.), ceiling fans, standing fans, good a/c in the summer and warm toasty heating in the winter upstairs and down. The beach is wide, clean and not busy and RIGHT THERE! The sand is soft and fluffy. This is a perfect get away spot about 13 miles west of the end of the Seawall. Also has a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, brand new dishwasher, new retro fridge and new oven/stove. We do our best to keep it stocked with dishes and flatware and cookware, salt/peper, cooking spray, coffee and fixins. We've got dish soap and laundry soap and full sized washer/dryer. We've got an ironing board and iron. We stock toilet paper, paper towels, and bath towels. It's got smoke alarms, and a blasting hot and cold outdoor shower. Two new beach-side decks (upper and lower), too! You will love it!

Nice property, needs more attention

Nice location, spacious and comfortable, not so clean though. We found dead roaches on cabinets and floor upon arrival. The dishes were so dirty we had to wash most of them before using. Found mold on the back of some pillows, which shows they had not been touched or moved for a long time. The towels were also so old and worn out. I understand these are issues that could have be solved pretty easily, had the owner inspected the house quickly before our arrival, and my point is a little more attention on the owner's part will go a long way. On a slightly more serious note, the downstairs AC wouldn't get warm - we put it on 72 and waited for a good 30 minutes before turning it off (the room temperature was 65 at that moment). The heater upstairs got warm almost immediately upon turning on.

Great Getaway for some Beach time!!

Had a great two day stay at this rental in Galveston. Loved that we were so close to the beach, and yet near stores if we ran out of anything. Would definitely recommend this rental, had every appliance and gadget you would need in the kitchen, and the beds were very comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Comfortable Stay with Great Views

### Stay Review We recently stayed at this property and had a wonderful time. The large porch with its great view and sound of the gulf/beach was a highlight, complete with plenty of rocking chairs to relax in. The beach itself was fantastic—clean sand, good waves, and decent water quality, though still with that characteristic Galveston brownish hue. The house was well-suited for our larger group, with plenty of beds and three bathrooms. The washer and dryer were very handy during our stay. We appreciated the access to streaming services on the TVs, though the channel selection could be improved, and one of the TV remotes was unfortunately missing. There were a few minor inconveniences: the shower heads were a bit finicky to use, and per the owner’s instructions, the AC couldn't be set lower than 73°F. While this temperature was comfortable during the day, we prefer to sleep in a cooler environment and would have liked to set it to 70°F. We also found a couple of dead cockroaches on the floor, but given that it’s the middle of the summer in Texas, this was somewhat expected. Despite these minor issues, we found it to be a nice property overall and will definitely consider it for future stays.

Hendrix a vacation 2024

It was our second annual vacation to Galveston. We had a great time. The house is right by the beach way walking distance. The house was large enough for our family the showers were great, never ran out of hot water. Kitchen/livingroom was big enough for all of us to enjoy time together. Plenty of room for all of us to sleep in the bedrooms and upstairs bunk area. Plenty of parking, we had 5 vehicles. The only issue we had was the porch area was a little small for us to all hang out together outside, and the grill was very very small in like what the picture had shown. But, overall a very successful family trip.

Great and spacious beach house

We throughly enjoyed our stay in this beach house, which was in a great location, very close to the beach. Easy to check in, plenty of room for people to spread out, and very communicative host. A few notes: -Sea Isle is about 20 miles from the main part of Galveston so do most of your grocery shopping as you roll into town to minimize how often you need to go into town. -There aren’t too many restaurants in the immediate vicinity so be prepared for that. However, there were two FANTASTIC food trucks literally across the street! One Mexican food and one with burgers and sandwiches. -dog friendly! And my fur pup throughly enjoyed the stay. There’s an outdoor shower that made bathing him after beach days easy. -if it rains, prepare for the area under the carport to flood a little. It drains off quickly enough though. We would definitely rent here again!

Many family celebrations

In one weekend, we celebrated our son's birthday, our daughter-in-law's birthday, Mother's Day, and the gender reveal of our newest granddaughter. Location and this home were perfect for our needs. Everything listed on the property description was accurate, if maybe a bit more "well-used" than expected. We found everything we needed right at home to make this a great weekend. The layout of the house number of bathrooms, well-working AC, and all the other amenities made it a very easy peaceful weekend. In the location, simple, easy walk to the beach with no vehicle traffic was excellent! A great value and a great place to stay. Thanks!

Filthy

Upon arrival we did a walk through to find a completely filthy house. The kitchen had mouse turds in several cabinets and we saw roaches as well. The cookware was substandard. There was only 1 partial roll of toilet paper, in the upstairs bathroom for 3 bathrooms. The floor fans were discusting. The pillows and beds were also filthy. The broom had lots of dirt and hair hanging off it. The grass was about three weeks overdue for mowing and I could not let my grand kids play in it for fear of what might be in it.the upstairs carpet was filthy and needs to be replaced. When it rained we had water come in the upstairs patio door and through one of the bedroom windows. On day 3 we had to throw away a dozen doughnuts we bought that day and other food due to an ant infestation. We had pictures and gave them to the cleaning lady. The owner said he was sending a partial refund but i have not yet received it. I feel it should be a total refund due to complete disrepair and filth. This place is a horrible representation for VRBO i do have pictures but don't see a place to attach them.

This house is perfect

We had a great stay with are large group there is plenty of room for everyone , owner is promot with answering any questions we had !!! The view from the deck is the best we spent most of are time outside 😁 .. short walk to the beach would stay here again thanks for letting us stay in ur house Mike

Great Location

Loved how close it was to the Beach. We had a few issues but the communication with the owner was good. The house was very spacious, plenty of room for our large group.

A++ Location Beach House

We met up with other family members at the Passing Winds Beach House. The location was perfect - right off the road and only one house between us and the beach. We could sit on the deck and see family playing on the beach. It was almost like having your own personal beach. There were food trucks right across the street, restaurants nearby and a small grocery store 4.5 miles away called the Seven Seas. Everyone loved their vacation at the Passing Winds!

Great for a family

The place was great! Easy walk to the beach and the upstairs area was fantastic and allowed for the 3 children with us to have their own space while the adults had their own space downstairs. Host was also very fast to respond when I reached out about the fridge not working, but he quickly guided me on how to easily fix the problem and all things went great after that!

Our overall experience taking residence at this amazing house was more than amazing! We like to thank Mike for his beautiful comfy home to take our family home. Everything you need

Kitchen has everything you could possibly need, beds are comfy, and even though it’s not front row it’s only about 10 extra steps from there. Owner answered immediately if I had a question or problem. Nice house.
