Nestled within approximately 8 acres of peaceful woods, Red Hickory offers a serene retreat surrounded by nature’s beauty. This charming 1008-square-foot cabin features an open living and dining area, creating a welcoming space for relaxation. An inviting open loft, furnished with a queen-size bed and a half bath, provides additional comfort. The main living area includes a queen-size sleeper sofa, making this cabin ideal for couples or small families seeking a cozy getaway. The fully equipped kitchen contains dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, ensuring guests can prepare meals easily after a day of exploring. For outdoor cooking enthusiasts, the cabin offers two grills—charcoal and gas—so you can choose your preferred method for grilling. One of the highlights of your stay is the private hot tub, offering tranquil views of the surrounding woods. The cabin also features a fire pit just off the deck, perfect for gathering around on cool evenings. For entertainment and connectivity, there is a flat-screen TV with local cable and the option to connect your streaming device. Complimentary high-speed wireless internet is provided, along with reliable cell service to keep you connected throughout your stay. Red Hickory’s prime location places you near Hocking Hills State Parks, Downtown Logan, the Nelsonville Bike Path, Wayne National Forest, and Dorr Run ATV Trails. Activities such as horseback riding, zip lining, and local dining are easily accessible. Athens and Ohio University are just a short drive away, making this cabin an excellent base for exploring the region. The base rate covers two guests; each additional guest costs $25 per night. A minimum stay of two nights is required. Please note that the driveway is a long hill—four-wheel drive is preferred, though front-wheel drive will work. This pet-friendly cabin charges a flat fee of $75 per booking for pets.

One of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed at! I kept telling my husband how much I loved the cabin. Beautiful, private and great location! You can tell that the owners put their heart and soul into this property. Would definitely stay again!

Everything we could want was there! Everything was very clean as well! It was in the best location, very secluded, so you really felt like you were away from the busy life and able to breathe. They had all the games there which we definitely took advantage of and not a far drive from Hocking Hills. Definitely will be coming back to enjoy it again

We had a wonderful weekend at this secluded cabin in the woods. The hot tub was great and the cabin was clean and cozy. We especially loved the privacy, all surrounded by forest. Good proximity to hiking and local restaurants

This place was awesome, I didn't want to leave.Perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday.Quiet, secluded. Would definitely want to stay here again. It had everything you need to live here for any length of time. Great experience.

This was a wonderful place that we enjoyed staying at. The driveway can be fun, but we have a 4wd truck, so it was not an issue. The cabin itself is very cozy. The only negative I could say would be that both the couch and bed have seen better days. They are both completely functional, just seem a little worn out.

A wonderful, rejuvenating stay.

The cabin is lovingly and incredibly well appointed, spotlessly clean and quiet. The hot tub and extra bathroom upstairs are fantastic inclusions. Responsive host and we will be back!
