This house was perfect for our mini family reunion. We were in house #4. We brought the boat and kept it in the water at their docks and the family bounced between the boat, the lake, the pool and playing cards at the house. I had a few minor maintenance concerns that were addressed immediately. The kayaks and paddle boards provided by the owners were a blast for the kids. If you plan to go down to the dock frequently with less mobile family members or lots of gear - go ahead and book the golf cart. We could have gone without it… but with sleepy kids and lots of gear it was worth the money.

Great Wedding Party House

The house was amazing with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone! The kitchen had so much space for preparing the food for the rehearsal dinner! And the view spectacular!! Would recommend and so much want to stay again!!

This is a great house, and described perfectly. The lake is so calm/peaceful and the view is perfect. Highly recommend.

Great stay.

Our family of 18 were very comfortable. Every room is nicely furnished and well decorated. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace for our winter getaway. The staff was friendly and very quick and easy to work with. We would highly recommend.

Great Vacation

This property was in a great location on Douglas Lake. Our family could choose to go boating or just stay at the property and swim in either the beautiful infinity pool or off of the dock in the lake. The house was plenty big enough for our large family.

Family vacation

Great property, with 7 adults and 5 grand-babies under age 5 the house and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. The pool and lake were amazing, and very little boat traffic on this side of the lake. Definitely will return 👍

Lovely Family Vacay Spot

Our family had a wonderful time during our stay this past weekend. We stayed four days and we were able to get around to where we needed to fairly quickly. The villa is beautiful and picturesque with the lake and forest views. Josh was awesome and was very responsive with updates and requests we had while there. 10/10 recommend!

Great Stay for All Ages

We had a great time at the property, Josh was very helpful and attentive. The home was a perfect fit for us. We took advantage of renting the Pontoon and tube, as well as the golf cart. I highly recommend renting all items. The pool was a great place for us to hang out and visit as well.

Family Getaway

We all really enjoyed our stay here at Douglas Lake. Our kids loved the outdoor activities and cannot wait to come back someday. Both the lake and the pool were beautiful. Renting a golf cart is a must for getting up and down from the lake, especially if anyone has trouble with loose stone footing. Thank you for the lovely accommodations!

Perfect family vacation

The house was clean and roomy with a plethora of things to do near by. If you dont want to leave you can fish or swim right off dock. If you have a boat even better. We had 9 cousins in all. Went home with great memories.

Great vacation

We had our entire family come and stay (kids, parents, grandparents, uncles cousins etc) and everyone enjoyed it! 40 mins or so drive from Gatlinburg/pigeon forge area. We had some storms affect power and Alan was on it and very accommodating/did everything he could to help. This is our second time staying here and we are planning another. Hassle free, drama free, fun family trip!

Smoky Mountain Villas

Our family had a great time at the property. The pool was amazing! The lake access was close to the rental. The gravel road was tricky to navigate but wasn’t a deterrent when walking to the lake. The other guests were nice which made sharing the pool and dock easy. Josh was very accommodating and answered all of my questions quickly. Would definitely recommend this house!

Beautiful and spacious

This property was very spacious with an outstanding view. The host responded fast. There was an issue with the power in 3 rooms, but we flicked the breaker, so it was an easy fix for the most part. The water was so silky. The neighbors were nice. The pool area was clean. We will be staying again!!

Beautiful house, with plenty of kitchen necessities. Only thing we disliked was the gravel road entrance of over a mile long, lack of useable boat ramp, and parking close to the house with boat trailers. Was very doable with a marina within 15 minutes. Just wasn’t what we thought we were getting with five boats total. The dock was very nice. Very nice pool with beautiful views of the lake and mountains.

Great lakehouse

Plenty of room in the villa for our three families and great amenities. pool and hot tub were a favorite hang for the kids. Having boat slip was great, but was bummed we couldn't launch from the property (too tight a turn). Only suggestion I would make on the villa - main living room needs a TV and coffee table. Other than that, we had everything we needed! Would recommend for sure.

Awesome!

Every part of this house/property is top notch. The house has a great view, it’s clean and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. The view is lovely. We rented our own boat but the dock had a paddle board and a few kayaks. The pool was clean and has the best view Of the lake! Josh was helpful and available, although we didn’t really need him as everything was perfect! Thanks for a great stay.

Five Star Lake House

We have rented several lake houses over the years but Smoky Mountain Resorts provides the ultimate vacation. Our house provided 5 bedrooms with king size beds, and 2 bunk rooms. Perfect for our family! The house was clean and the kitchen well appointed. Between the pool and the lake, we had lots of options to enjoy. We loved using the free kayaks and paddle boards or swimming in the lake. While the villas are located on the lake’s main channel, there is very little traffic on the lake. Swimming felt very safe. For a break, we enjoyed the beautiful pool. The view of the lake from the entire resort is amazing. We can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful Lake Home Enjoyed By Our Family of 16

The home was exactly as described and more. We have a family of 16. 2 Grandparents and our 4 grown children with their families. Grandkids ranged from 2-13. The lake home allowed for grown siblings to sit and talk with a beautiful view. The downstairs game room allowed for Mimi to play games with the grandkids. Cousins that did not know each other well became friends. This was a perfect place to relax and build relationships with family. We were all very pleased! We rented a boat for 2 days and the kids and grandkids tubed. To our surprise, there were free paddleboards and a kayak by the marina. The paddleboard pics are some of our favorites. A great place!! Very clean and management super friendly and quick to respond to any request. Our memories and bonding as a family.. priceless!

A great July week with our six grandchildren on Lake Douglas in the Smoky Mountains, Tennessee

We rented one of several beautiful new waterfront homes in this Smoky Mountain Villa compound overlooking a surprisingly quiet and beautiful Douglas Lake. The house was spectacular - grander and roomier than the descriptions and photos implied. The view from the multi-storied, multi-windowed front wall (and from the semi-surround open porch) was just outstanding. The kitchen was very large and extremely well equipped. The adjoining dining space with a huge table handled all of us, but the tables on the porch were also popular. We took our 6 grandchildren (ages 9 to 14) and three of their parents, and had plenty of room - didn't even use one of the bedrooms! We gave the kids the lower floor with three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and with the large game and TV/movie room; they were in heaven, as were their parents and grandparents on the upper two floors! The infinity pool and hot tub were beautiful and popular with our group, but swimming off the dock and using the provided kayaks and paddle boards were the most popular with our grandkids. Several also tried their hand at fishing, but had little luck (not a disappointment to their parents!). The provided cable and WiFi services handled all of our needs. We had a long list of activities we had planned to do in the area (Dollywood, white water rafting, hiking , boating and tubing, etc.) all of which worked out easily and conveniently, but we ended up cancelling several so we could spend more time around the house, pool and dock. Josh, the site manager was excellent and always available, but we never really needed anything. We'll definitely consider renting here again in the future.

Everything was great! The grandkids all enjoyed the pool, but enjoyed the dock more. It was nice that there were paddle boards and kayaks they could use. The house was very nice with lovely views and the deck was very relaxing. Several of the grown kids said this house may have been the best so far!(and this was our 8th family vacation together at different rental houses). Overall a wonderful experience!

Property was spacious and wide variety of sleeping arrangements were very helpful for our group of 16. Multiple king bedrooms, 2 bedrooms with bunks, made sleeping options flexible and fun.We enjoyed the pool, fishing off the doc, and coming to and from with the pontoon boat we rented locally as well!Some umbrella or shading options on the deck would be great for the future. Luckily we had a popUp tent with us that provided some shade from the July sun, so we still enjoyed the outdoor space.Overall, great property, and great experience! Would definitely stay again!

We received the access code late but Josh got us the information very quickly. The house was very spacious for our family. We would definitely rent these villas again.
