Hi Greg, Thanks for taking the time to write a great review of Stonegarden Cottage. We're glad you enjoyed the view, and found the cottage and grounds "lovely". We work hard to create a beautiful retreat for nature lovers like yourselves. For readers, the cottage is on a mountainside overlooking the harbor, so the road is steep and the cooling breezes plentiful, creating the ideal situation for our guests to enjoy the sounds of nature, rather than be closed off in AC. (BTW, The Lower Level does have AC for the warmer months.) Tropical winters can be chilly up on the mountain, so we have down comforters on the bed to keep guests warm. This can be a surprise for those who come for the first time to St. John and stay at higher elevations. So glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks again, and we hope to see you again, Thia Muilenburg Owner
