Experience Country life on a Scenic ranch with a gorgeous Barn Venue below! Trails abounding. This is a well appointed Rustic chic, (Lower Level) unit. Truely a one of a kind family favorite! Minutes from St Louis, Eureka, Brookdale Farm, & Fenton. High Ridge town has everything you may need and eateries too. You can enjoy a bonfire, fish, swim, kayak or hike here. Coyote, deer, horses abound. You can lay in bed and watch for wildlife, or sit under a covered patio with ambient lights. Close to Lone Elk, Greensfelder, Six Flags, Beaumont Scout Camp, Indoor Recreation close by.

Listen for the yipe of a coyote at night as you relax on the patio. There is a pretty lake close by reflecting the colors of the sky. You can just relax or Swim, Hike or horse back ride. Makes a great home base if you are attending a wedding at Rocking J or if you are visiting Six Flags, Hidden Valley Ski Resort, St Louis. A nice drive West to Meramec Caverns, Branson, South to Elephant Rock. A short drive to parks, rivers, shut-ins. East to museums, Union Station, Zoo. off Route 66, hwy 44 . 2 and 7/10ths mile off Hwy Route 66 aka Hwy 44.

If you can pull the sheets and pillowcases off the beds that were used and leave them on that bed, it would be great and thank you !

Wonderful stay! It feels like a quiet countryside retreat while still being conveniently close to restaurants and shopping. Surrounded by green pastures with horses and wildlife such as bald eagles, foxes, ducks, and geese, it’s a beautiful and relaxing place to unwind, walk, or go horseback riding.

Room was nice and clean, lots of space, and basically staying in a downstairs Guest Quarters at a Ranch and Wedding Venue. Lots of horses in view and big yard to walk the dogs and very private, in the country. Owners are super nice and checked on us to make sure all is well and offered Tick spray if we were going to walk dogs in the woods. Big forest adjoins the property, So horses and fields to the front and forest to the back. Loved the big living room, great room with lots of room for social time when returning back from a long day at Purina Farms. The A/C is awesome as is the unlimited hot water for a nice long shower.

When we arrived, check in was smooth. We did notice a small amount of water behind the bar and then noticed a substantial amount of water in the back bedroom. It covered half the room. The host responded quickly but was out of town. He was nice about it and gave us 100. It was late by the time it was cleaned. He did come check the next morning and it stayed dry for the duration of our stay.Unfortunately, I went to make coffee the next morning to find the coffee maker was full of mold. My husband went and purchased me a new one and we let the host know. He promptly took it away and said that he would contact his cleaner. They have a wedding venue on sight and this space would be perfect for a bridal party to get ready in. By day 3, we noticed all of us were starting to feel congested and I’m assuming it’s from the strong mildew smell in the master bedroom. I’m not sure how well it dries out down there. The hosts were very kind but given all the water issues and moldy coffee pot, we are unlikely to return.

Great place to stay!

This was a great place to stay. It was quiet and was perfect for our group. The property was well maintained and accurate to the listing. I would definitely book again.

Wonderful Accomodations

We were in town for a wedding and this property was wonderful for us all to stary together. The owners were very friendlt and had so much knowledge to share with us of the area and their property. 10/10 reccomend staying here!

Stayed here with the groomsmen from my brothers wedding. Was a great, peaceful place to come back to each night after a few chaotic days. Would stay here again!

Holiday house

We rented the property to be in the area for the holiday. The house had plenty of sleeping spaces and linens. The kids were enjoyed seeing the horses on the property.

Nice stay

Everything was amazing! Clean house and the beds were super comfortable. The only bugaboo would be the hot water, it took a long time and when it finally got hot it went away right away.

Yes the flame regulator had to be replaced. We noticed it when we got back, called our plumber and now its back to endless hot water . We would have had him come right away but you didnt let us know of the issue. Because we were out of town I know you didnt want to be a bother, so sweet of you. But that's what we do for our guests. Ty for the nice 5 star review.

Family get-together

Our family get-together was very enjoyable at the "Rocking J Ranch". The owners Brian and Sue were very accommodating and hospitable. The picturesque views and interacting with the horses were highlights of our stay.

Beautiful property on a lovely evening

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful countryside home. The area was quiet and peaceful, but still very convenient—Walmart and other stores were just a short drive away.We stayed in the lower level of the house, which had a cozy, rustic feel and plenty of space for everyone. It had everything we needed, and everything was clean and comfortable.Communication with the property manager was great—very friendly and quick to respond.Overall, it was a relaxing and easy stay. We'd definitely come back and recommend it to others!

Great time

We had a wonderful time here and the horses were a highlight. The hosts couldn’t have been better the only thing I can say is the shower has no water pressure but it is definitely worth a stay regardless!

Fun Relaxing Stay with Family

We had a wonderful experience throughout our stay. The house was fully stocked and had everything we needed. The owners were incredibly kind and had great communication. We were in town for a wedding and this house fit everything we needed for the weekend. We would highly recommend this place and would stay again!

Lovely setting! We enjoyed a campfire the first night and it was so relaxing. Close to many activities, with plenty of fun for everyone. Hosts were very friendly and answered questions right away.

Peaceful stay in quiet setting

Our stay was very enjoyable. We enjoyed visiting the horses on the property and making use of the patio and fireplace area. Rental was clean and well kept and included all the necessities. If we needed anything, Brian was quick to help. Glad we chose this property?!

Work-cation

We were in town for work. Hotels get old real fast. I can not tell you how thrilled we were to find this gem. Great location, great people, great accommodations!

You are close to St. Louis , 25 minutes via Highway 44 East, but setting is inside scenic
foothills and beautiful grassy Valleys with private little lakes, and wooded trails to lure you off the shaded patio to exercise and enjoy the views and nature all around. Our farm is home of all wildlife Missouri offers, quail, deer, skunk, fox, racoon, groundhog, coyote, and wrens, woodpecker, blu jay, cardinal, and Martens. We hardly get a mosquito because of the Martens, and bats that naturally take care of this. We recommend spray for other insects if you hike. In the West out 44 is Caverns .Branson is 5 hrs away.

You can be alone with nature, with no close houses next to you. You can do nothing or stay active daily with many options locally from City life in St Louis, to Natural Parks,
Fishing, and 6 flaggs close by. If you wish to float around on our private natural lake, bring your favorite float and maybe some water shoes, small beach to a floating dock and naturally clean, fresh water to cool off in. You have your own laundry room too.
