Retro Ranch With Private Indoor Pool & Sauna St Louis, MO

West county ranch home on 1.4 acres. All bedrooms are on the main level. Private indoor pool, sauna, steam shower, and bath adjoins the master bedroom suite. A private changing room, pool side dining booth, and fireplace makes this area a fun gathering place.

Walking distance to Candicci’s Italian restaurant, Target, Starbucks, and Vlasis Park. Several grocery stores and Walmart are just a five minute drive. Lots of fun floats, pool toys and pool games are available for your use.

WE DO NOT ADVERTISE OR RENT OUR HOME ON CRAIGSLIST!

The home has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, and 3 wood burning fireplaces. Pack and plays, high chairs and baby pool floats are available for infants, upon request. Free wifi is provided. Cable television is provided in four rooms.

The home is located in West County within walking distance to many stores, restaurants, and a park with a playground, walking trails, and seasonal sprayground.

No parties or local gatherings are permitted.
Home is for use of 10 renters only and local day guests, friends, and family are not permitted. No more than 4 cars maximum are allowed at the home.

If only the pool suite is rented, access to home will not be available. Garage and one hall linen closet are not accessible. There is a carport, a parking pad, and a long driveway for off-street parking. Pool suite only is not available to rent on weekends unless scheduling permits between home rentals.

"It's a Vibe!"We were visiting from Florida to attend our niece’s wedding nearby and were joined by our son and his family from Maryland, our daughter and her husband from Kentucky, and my mom from the Ozarks. We had SO much space and SO much fun!It’s hard to adequately describe what a fun gathering spot this is if you have a large family. The hosts provided tons of toys for our grandchildren – they cried when we had to check out! It has funky MCM décor, is very clean, and there is SO much space! The youngsters had a blast in the indoor pool area, while us older folks could visit in another part of the house, uninterrupted by their squeals. All around 10/10 for value, cleanliness, location, outstanding hosts, and great times!!!

Cousins Vacation

We loved our stay at Deborah & Mikes place, Retro Ranch. It had every amenities we needed and the pool was a great bonus. The girls had a great time and the adults did also. It was a great location with really good restaurants. The Shopping Outlet was 10 miles away. The Arch was 25 minutes do everything was convenient. We had 4 adults and 4 teens and the house was great for us.

Perfect Family Getaway

This house is perfect for a local getaway! There is lots to do on the property, from ping-pong to boars games and a pool. It's close to restaurants and other amenities.

Perfect and so fun!!

The house was perfect for our family and all the games and toys entertained the children as well as the adults! They even had a retro Christmas tree set up for us! Pool was awesome and there were too many pool toys to count! Great communication by the owners and readily available for any questions. Well stocked house with everything we needed to make for a great time!

Winter pool getaway

Great hosts, had everything ready, plus extra touches. Lots of room, great pool area. Beds were comfortable and house was well heated. Would stay here again.

Our second time there and our kids absolutely LOVED the pool!! Debbie always does a great job specializing the kids’ bedrooms so they are very excited when they get there to see they look like! They already want to go back!

Ballwin pool house

This was our 3rd year at this fun retro house with pool. Tons of pool toys and the sauna was amazing! So many toys as gifts for our 6 yr old granddaughter and many toys in general for children! Looking forward to next year!

Cousin House

This was our 4th year at the house. The cousins refer to it as the cousin house and look forward each year to our visit. The owners take soooo many extra steps into making the kids welcome with activities and. Fun games to play.

Absolutely wonderful, Family of 7, we were very comfortable and never board. Host went above and beyond preparing for us. They set up age appropriate games and activities or has special small gifts for each child. Very thoughtful and made the kids day. Definitely will book again.

Caters for Family Fun

From the moment you arrive you are greeted with funness. Deborah caters to the kids for sure. She asks all the genders and ages of children coming and spoils them with all kinds of toys, snacks and activities. The kids didn't know what to do first. And not to mention the pool. UNBELIEVABLE! Huge, beautiful and again lots of toys to play with. Had a memorable time being with family here. Thanks so much for everything!

Thoughtful touches and attention to detail

We spent a snowy, but perfect, 7th birthday weekend here. My daughter ran around squealing with joy seeing the Barbies, pool floats, toys, candy, and small gifts scattered around the house. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness for guests was touching and icing on our birthday cake! The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was dated, but effective. The pool is a lap pool which doesn't maintain heat levels you would expect. It was way below outside, so the pool felt cold but it was manageable. We all look forward to our return trip soon!

Wonderful stay to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday

We stayed at this location a few weeks back to surprise my dad for his birthday and it was everything...one of the best long weekends of my adult life. Upon arrival, it looked like a Christmas wonderland - and sounded like one too with Christmas music playing! The host is extremely thoughtful and clearly cares about giving each guest an experience...not just a stay. The host had even left happy birthday balloons and items for the kids. The kids just had a ball - the host was willing to accommodate the few extra cousins as well. I had brought a few cots for the cousins to have their own space in the large basement. There were so many fun board games, card games, and other games to play as well - several new ones that I believe will now be family favorites. The pool was so fun for the kiddos (ages 9-15) with so many pool toys. If I had to give a few suggestions - I do wish the pool was able to be warmer as some of the adults felt that it was too cold for their taste, but the host does disclose the temperature it's kept at which I'm sure was accurate. Also, not all of the stover burners were working, but that didn't stop us from cooking meals - just something to keep in mind. Just overall this was a really, really wonderful stay. I love the vibe of the house and the host really goes above and beyond to make it a fun stay. We'll definitely be back and really appreciate the host sharing such a wonderful home! I can't say enough good things about the place.

Honest Review

Misled by listing. Feel like this home doesn’t warrant such a high price. Owner extremely nice and easy to work with Plenty of towels for the pool and shower Cons: House isn’t retro, just old and not well maintained. Water damage to ceiling & above dining room window Bathroom soap fixtures crumbling. Have plastic piece on top instead of being replaced Light switches labeled w/handwritten descriptions, some so faded can’t be read Several lights and fans not working Dishwasher has a lot of soap scum/scaling inside Signs in pool area handwritten, curled and faded making them hard to read. Outside door in pool area was left open making pool very chilly Bathroom in pool area lighting didn’t work and had a large dark stain in the tub Smoke detector started beeping from a dying battery that had a 2019 expiration Largest bed was in smallest room. We slept in that bed because bed in the master bedroom has a hard frame around it that’s painful getting in and out of and it’s a smaller bed. Not a 3-prong outlet by the bed. Had to buy extension cord so my husband could plug in CPAP machine. STRONG smell in the house. It’s a musty smell, not a wood smell as the owners have commented Basement is dark and creepy with holes cut out of drywall in ceiling Old chairlift in the basement stairwell Blackstone grill is rusty and caked with grease. No comfy seating anywhere to lounge on. Couch and chair in livingroom are uncomfortable, stained and not a good layout to watch TV. A folding table and chairs awkwardly placed in the livingroom. Only seating in pool area is a booth and table. Only one chair on the tiny deck outside the pool. A lot of stuff everywhere, as if they took anything left from previous guest and left in cabinets. 15-20 bottles of hair care items in cabinets. An abundance of open sugar bags and some expired spices in pantry. Stack of outdated magazines in living room including 2017 IKEA catalog. A lot of clutter and knick knacks. A lot of stuff everywhere! Listing pictures aren't cluttered like this. SO MANY small things could be done to bring this home to a higher level. We are disappointed in the condition of this home after reading all the reviews and seeing the listing pictures. If price had been lower, maybe expectations would have been lower and all these things may not have bothered us as much. Can’t imagine we are the only ones that have felt this way. Seems strange no other reviews would reflect this...

Such a cool property! Nice quiet neighborhood, minutes from tons of amenities and 30mins from the Arch! The pool is fantastic! The host is great! There is everything you need in the house and so much attention to detail.

We had a wonderful stay as we celebrated a family wedding. We had a code for the door lock so check in was easy. House information was available and the host quickly answered any questions via messaging. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were ample towels for the baths and pool. The family enjoyed gathering at the pool after busy days and travels. The host added many special touches to celebrate the bride to be.

Family vacation

Property was a good choice outside of the city. Lots of room to spead out. Downside. Mid century modern furniture is not comfortable ans living room could use more seating. Older property, so some maintenance is needed, but clean with lots of towels, bedding, etc. Hosts response time was literally within minutes after contacting them

Barbie Dream House

We had my daughters bridesmaids stay at the house for the week while we prepared for their wedding. Everything went off perfectly. My daughter took them over to check them in and was blown away by all the little details she had thought of. Since this was where the girls were staying they referred to it as Barbie's Dream House. they loved all the little touches and they raved about it all week. Than you so much going well above and beyond!

Indoor pool saved vacation

My husband and I took our 5 grandkids (and 3 of their parents) to St Louis for Spring Break. We chose St Louis because it was a reasonable drive with a lot to do around the city. It poured down rain the whole time we were there but, having the pool to come back to after an excursion made everything better. Not to mention the vast supply of “retro” toys. The kids were never bored. Deborah also went out of her way to leave small gifts for each of our grandkids to enjoy when they arrived. She was also on top of all communication if a problem arose and fixed it. We would recommend Retro Ranch to any group , but especially to families with younger kids!

Host set-up and communication was outstanding, as usual for her.

Everything was simply wonderful. It would take many words too describe the pleasure and enjoyment that my granddaughter had with the house use for her 5th birthday. Her 7 children family & friends guest were overjoyed and their parents enjoyed the house too. My 5 year old granddaughter said “It was the best Birthday party ever!” And that’s what I wanted to hear. We’ll back for other family and business gatherings.
