Running Bear is located on Log Country Cove property and is managed by Log Country Cove with, 20+ years of 5 star hospitality in the Kingsland area. Non-motorized items included in your stay.

Great weekend away

This property was amazing and perfect for a fall trip. We especially loved the cozy log cabin vibes. Each room had a king bed which was excellent and every room had a bathroom. It's a great place for friends, couples, or families.

Quiet time at Running Bear

Gem on the Colorado River

Great Lake House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a large group at Log Country Cove, renting two houses, Cowboys Cove and Running Bear. Our experience was fabulous. The location on the water was great, the homes were clean and well stocked. Plenty of space to hang out inside and out. We had great weather so that made outside living even better. The amenities of Log Country Cove make for a perfect family getaway, with kayaks, canoes, pontoon boats (for rent), sand volleyball, and lots of common area to enjoy.

Weird, but nice

Reviewer Comments: The house is nice, but the set up is pretty weird, with one entrance up a winding, non-ADA compliant ramp and the other entrance clearly at the back of the house. Once inside, it’s nice. And there are plenty of places to sit and relax outside too. It’s just that they don’t connect in the way that you might think. And the hot tub is in full view of another house, which was kind of weird.

Cabin fever

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of six really liked the cabin a lot. It's perfect for 6-8 guests, with good-sized BR's and Baths in all 3 BR's. Nice living area on second floor. Close to the lake and basketball and horseshoes and boat rentals. Really great patios too. Nice hike close by. There is a good ADA ramp around the cabin, but not that ADA friendly inside. Also, needs more wine glasses! Would we stay here again and recommend to others? Absolutely!!!

Management company was excellent

The running bear cabin wasn't really ready for us. I also wouldn't recommend it for families with small kids as it's 3 story with no bathroom on the living room level. Dryer wasn't working and the grounds were just covered in animal feces. The management moved us to the woodhaven cabin and it was wonderful. Really enjoyed our time there. The office has a fun little play area for kids with putt putt golf and a playground. Mine really enjoyed it. Location was much closer to marble falls than I thought, so it was nice to be able to make the day trip there. The location is also less than 10 minutes from longhorn caverns, and wow, that's a must do.

cozy retreat

Reviewer Comments: overall a great experience. the only frustrating part was that the sprinklers turned on Sunday morning when we were packing to leave making packing and loading difficult without getting wet. It seems that turning on sprinklers during a less busy rental time (ie: during the week) may interfere less with weekend renters visits. also the trash can was broken. otherwise proximity to the lake and kids activities was great!

Reviewer Comments: I had my wedding at LCC and rented several cabins; the staff at the venue and for the cabins was more than accommodating! it was the most exquisite wedding weekend experience had by all! we will be back to celebrate anniversaries and to enjoy time with family whenever we can! this place is a slice of heaven on earth! Manda and Meagan were vital in making sure the special day went perfectly! this place and these people were the perfect choice for the biggest day in our lives together! Thank you to everyone at Cedar Skies and Log Country Cove!
