Wonderful, unique property, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We counted all the owls, but could never come to the end of the heart shaped rocks! The beautiful garden and great architecture, created a place we will remember.

Everything was wonderful!!! The house was beautiful and clean and Doug was very informative and helpful. The grounds are lovely and you had everything you needed. Would stay again!

What a unique whimsical place with beautiful gardens Our first trip to Maine was a great experience the General store next door was a bonus Kayaking down the road a little ways was so peaceful and beautiful we had great adventures and will hold on to beautiful memories of the Post office VRBO

The Owl's Head perch above the Post Office was a delightful, quirky place to spend a few days. Everything you need is there including the beautiful garden in the back, the very Maine general store next door and friendly neighbors. It is off the beaten path, so quiet and peaceful. Exploring mid-coast Maine from Owl's Head sends you down country roads to amazing vistas. Doug and Leah are very responsive and have helpful recommendations on how to make the most of your visit. I will certainly book here again.

This was an amazing and magical property. The inside was so fun and the grounds, gardens were simply magical. So peaceful, and the food from the general store was amazing. Everyone is so nice and laid back. Highly recommend to ant one wanting to unwind !

We flung the Owls Head post office VRBO a very comfortable place to spend a week visiting Maine with our dog Rusty. It is very clean and comfortable and the General Store is very handy and serves delicious food, especially their blueberry pancakes and BLTs. We especially enjoyed siting on the back deck in the evening with sundowners, and the gardens are spectacular. We walked the neighborhood two or three times a day with our dog and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this location for a restful stay in a very special place.

We had a great time at Doug’s house and it exceeded our expectations. The outdoor space was amazing and we took advantage of all it had to offer. Fire pit hangs, meals on the porch, kayak trips, not to mention the incredible garden! The house is so close to a bunch of beaches, Rockland and Camden so there was no shortage of things to do. The general store next door was the icing on the cake and we were there everyday (except Tuesday!). I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a true Coastal Maine experience!

What a unique experience - an apartment right over the post office. With my husband being a retired letter carrier in Texas, finding an actual studio apartment over a small, historic post office in the much cooler weather of Maine - what a find! Everything you need is in the apartment with a local general store next door. Easy access to Camden and Rockland - beautiful 2.5 hour drive to Bar Harbor. Beautiful grounds - nice upper deck porch.

Our week at the Owl’s Head post office was perfect! The place is SO charming, cozy, and comfortable. We cooked meals easily and just enjoyed the gorgeous cabin. We walked to Owl’s Head lighthouse. Being so close to the ocean was great. We did some antiques shopping (some cool stores nearby) and had a terrific meal at Ada’s. Doug left a friendly note and we could have texted him but didn’t need a thing. Would love to return. Definitely get the buckeyes at the general store next door.

The property is unique and fun. For our first visit to Maine, we loved staying there away from the hustle and bustle. The general store was also a treat; their fresh baked muffins were delicious. Our kids loved staying in the cupola.

Perfect Little Getaway

This is our second time staying at the Post Office and we can't wait to return. Our family loves the coziness of this home and all the character every nook offers. We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else when we're up visiting our favorite place in Maine!

Perfect spot in every way

Doug has created the perfect place to stay while visiting the Rockland/Camden area. The PO is so clean and such a unique place to stay. It is #1 of places we have stayed. Highly recommend this wonderful VRBO!!
