Enjoy the charm and delight of Madaket in this recently updated and beautifully maintained home, offering gorgeous views and sunsets over Hither Creek and easy access to the boat landing that is located directly across the street. Four double bedrooms plus a study with a pull out sofa, three and one half baths. All bathrooms were totally remodeled with luxury fittings for the 2021 season. Sleeps 10. This home abuts Land Bank property and has exceptional outdoor living spaces that include large decks, covered porches, outdoor dining and a beautifully landscaped spacious yard. The converted garage features an entertaining area with foosball table, ping pong table and dart board plus its own half bath and adjoining outdoor shower. High quality linens and a fully outfitted kitchen for family meals at home! This special property is located a very short distance to the beach, bike paths, marina, Millie's restaurant, bar and market. The Madaket route of The Wave bus stops just at the end of the street for easy access to town.

Madaket House

This house is amazing and it would be hard to beat the location. We stayed over the weekend with family and the house was as advertised and more. Highly recommend.

Perfect Nantucket Getaway!

Our family and friends - 4 adults and 6 kids ages 3-9 had a perfect week away at this beautiful home in Madaket! The home and layout were perfect for 2 families, the privacy, the space, and the walk to Millie’s and the beach made it an easy and relaxing time. Thank you Susan and your family for sharing your home with us!

Amazing Madaket property with everything you would need to enjoy a relaxing vacation in Nantucket. The house(s), property and gardens are truly special and create an oasis you can enjoy for a short or long term stay. We stayed for two weeks with young children and everyone enjoyed the house. Well stocked with the essentials, comfortable beds, beach shed with all the toys, chairs, umbrellas and bikes you need. There is even a game room / converted garage with ping pong and foosball tables. We can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic Home in Madaket, one of the best areas - if not the best - on Nantucket. Peaceful but close to beaches and Millies! It was perfect for our family and to have family over who live on the Island. Beautiful gardens and beautiful sunsets. We had two issues: the Junior Master's toilet leaked (on the main floor) and the dishwasher was also finicky and didn't always clean the dishes.

Hi Katy, happy to hear you enjoyed your time at our home. Too bad you didn’t let me know about these issues you had while on island and I would have asked our caretaker to go check them out for you. We have had a plumber check the downstairs toilet since and he could not find a leak. What commonly happens on Nantucket due to the dew point is condensation on the outside of the tank which may have then dripped on to floor. Also in regards to the dishwasher we have not had any issues with it in the 4 weeks we’ve been staying in the house after you. Did you use the normal wash cycle? That seems to be working for me. Could you provide more detail on what the problem was? Maybe I can try to troubleshoot some more. Always want to resolve any issues as best we can so everyone’s stay is as enjoyable as it can be. Thanks again for bringing these up!

Classic Madaket

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The yard was fantastic, and it was great to be walking distance to Millie’s and the Wave shuttle bus. My first impression was that the photos do not do the house justice. Beautiful decor, very comfortable, and fantastic location. Susan was responsive and accommodating to our group. We would love to stay here again!

Perfect family get-away!

I highly recommend! This is the second year we’ve rented here with our 3 young adult children, as the house is perfect for all of our needs. Such a wonderful, well appointed home - very comfortable with lots of family space, comfortable bedrooms and great outdoor space for reading, happy hours and a game of football! We enjoy cooking family dinners and the kitchen has everything we need. It’s a nice short walk to the beach (which is also great for easy sunset watching!) and to Millie’s. It’s a quick 10 minute drive into town.

Fabulous property!

This house worked well for our family of 3 couples/six adults. Plenty of public spaces to spread out including the two decks; one overlooking private yard and the upper deck with water views. The great room was the space we used most when all of us wanted to be together. Upscale renovated baths, quality linens, comfortable beds, two outdoor showers, a second refrigerator and an ice maker in the outbuilding game room were thoughtful amenities enjoyed by all. Madaket is a bit remote but the setting is tranquil, peaceful and we walked to Millie’s several nights for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Haven

We had a wonderful stay here in Madaket. The location was incredible being walking distance to Millies, Madaket beach, and the Madaket Marina. We had incredible sunsets from the house, a beautiful breeze off the water, and the house was fully equipped. It was as if we brought our house to Nantucket with us. Thank you for great accommodations and prepping the house with all the amenities needed for a restful, relaxing beach vacation.

Simply Stunning in Madaket

Madaket is a place I've visited for years and this beautiful home truly takes the cake. Beautiful, serene with many places for adults to kick back and relax. Even a few days of rain were overlooked due to our beautiful surroundings. Susan has a gorgeous, charming home that I would return back to time and time again. Thank you!

Madaket review

The House is lovely and close to beach, however the island has become extremely busy and so this location is far from town( only due to heavy traffic)if you are group that likes to go back and forth. The owners should check the grill ( only the left half worked) and the ice machine in the refrigerator does not work. No bars of soap anywhere so we had to buy them, not a big deal but probably they should have some on hand. Overall is is a great house with all that you need On a funny note: Master bedroom/bath is lovely but the interior designer placed a lovely shell chandelier above the bed and it is a wind chime with open windows or AC. Probably not the best choice for a bedroom but we had a good laugh.

Perfect week!

We just spent the week in Madaket celebrating our 25th anniversary and it was perfect! My husband, son and myself arrived on island Friday and spent the first evening at the Wauwinet exploring the other side of the island. Susan was wonderful about letting us check in a few hours early and after arriving we were surprised with a Champagne/cheese basket from Susan to help celebrate our anniversary!! The house and yard are beautiful and the location to watch sunsets is perfect. We had a full week of sunshine so being so close to the beach was a big plus too! Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful home - we left the island truly relaxed with lots of memories and several new laugh lines!!

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic time at the property. It was beautiful with a great view from upstairs and a fantastic yard for the kids to play in. We are looking forward to being there again next year!

Perfect stay in Madaket

We had a great 2 week stay in Madaket at Susan’s house! The house was spacious and very well appointed, the pictures are accurate. Our group didn’t have a car so we rented bikes and were able to bike to town (25mind), walk to the beach (10mins), etc. For longer trips and supply runs, we ordered Ubers. We spent a lot of time grilling at the house since it had a great large grill and the view has amazing sunsets. I would definitely recommend Susan’s house for larger groups and look forward to staying there again in the future!
