The perfect getaway! The unit opens directly to the pool, making it incredibly convenient and relaxing. It was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed.The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the selection of amazing pillows had me sleeping like a baby every night. Every detail made our stay feel effortless and comfortable. Alanna was an exceptional host. so thoughtful, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. She provided tons of fantastic restaurant recommendations, and her communication was outstanding from start to finish. She made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Wonderful getaway

We’ve been to the Santa Ynez Valley many times. This property is one of the nicest we’ve stayed in! Gorgeous views, close to everything and a lovely host. Cannot recommend enough for a couple.

Quiet and secluded retreat

Wonderful place to rest and relax in the sun by the pool. Alanna is a very gracious host.

Had a wonderful stay at this dream property! The location is breathtaking, sitting perched on top of a hill overlooking beautiful rolling oak dotted hills and countryside acreage. Loved the roaming cattle, sheep and goats on the hillsides nearby. Everything was perfect and Alanna was so kind making sure all needs were met! Can’t wait to stay again. Thank you!

Top of the hills gorgeous views!

Clean and well-appointed at the top of a hill in an exclusive rural area very close to wineries and Los Olivos. Peaceful setting. A perfect place to relax and get away.

Fabulous Mountaintop Spot

This VRBO is one of the most beautiful we've seen. Very clean, wonderful pool, and the apartment was well equipped with anything you could want. Great amenities, location. Host Alanna and Dale very helpful on recommendations.

One of the best places we've ever stayed at

This is a real gem. Gorgeous, quiet, well appointed — we wanted for nothing. A very kind host who accommodated every request and who let us know when she was coming and going. It was also a great spot for our puppy! We'll definitely stay here again.

A really special location atop a hill, overlooking Santa Ynez valley. Vistas are beautiful, just as pictures suggest. Apartment is spacious and comfortable.

Perfect Getaway

This property was amazing, the accommodations where spacious. Nice kitchen area with full fridge. Alanna was very communicative and helped us with any issues that came up. Would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying here again in the future!

Relaxing Getaway

This place was great. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. The view is amazing and Alana is a great host. She is very attentive and has great recommendations. This is also a great place to bring your dog. We will be back here for sure.

Our daily itinerary consisted of going to an early breakfast breakfast in any of the small towns in the area, doing some walking and shopping, and then coming back to use the pool in the hottest part of the day. We also visited some wineries in the afternoon, if the weather was a little too cool for the pool.In the evenings, we stayed in and had cheese, fruit, bread, nuts, and wine for dinner — enjoying the sunsets!The view from the hilltop was spectacular and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay!

Really great place!

Very spacious, well appointed, modern and clean, lots of great details. Extremely comfortable. Espresso maker and lots of fluffy towels along with many thoughtful details. Lovely, friendly host and easy to reach via phone or text. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay in Santa Ynez

Overall this was a perfect place for my husband and two dogs to stay. The location on top of a hill was just beautiful and quiet. Even though the property is attached to the main house, it feels separate. The space is light and bright, with all great accommodations and supplies. We will be back!

Sublime Experience

We love staying at this property. We have visited the Santa Ynez Valley many times, but this was a new experience. The view is fabulous, better than the photos posted. The pool was just what we needed to relax and unwind. Alanna is the most gracious host. We would love to return.

Santa Barbara Ranch Country

Fabulous view setting, superb privacy. Excellent introduction to the many treasures of the Santa Barbara ranch and wine Country. I swam in the pool, warm enough for a Dutchman in April, but a solar heating system for the pool is a much needed upgrade for most others.

Hi Jelle, The Hot Tub can be used in the winter, so sorry I did not know you were swimming. Have checked on Solar, $25,000 ! I couldn't afford to keep the rates as low if I heated the pool in winter with propane bills. But glad you took a swim ! Thank You so very much for your lovely review ! You were an excellent guest ! Perfect Getaway

Mystical Hilltop Ranch is a beautiful getaway -- close to town, but you are seculded and feel miles away. The furniture is very comfortable and the bed was amazing. Everything you need, from cooking utensils to lovely towels to nice bath products, is all there. The communication with the owner could not have been more seamless and helpful. Highly recommend!

Quiet Time

My husband and I traveled to Santa Ynez for a very special family occasion and were looking for a space away from the crowds to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. There were birds, a few horses and a few foxes that we spotted. The guest house was very bright, airy and clean. The hosts were very easy to communicate with while also being very unobtrusive. We will definitely stay again!

Great Place, cool pool, wonderful hostess

Alanna is a great hostess with a lovely retreat nestled in the mountains in Wine and Horse country. Easy checkin, everything we needed was ready, very comfortable bed, clean as a whistle. Great pool - and no need to have it heated as the daily temperature varied between 78 - 100 degrees. Dry heat, cool pool, wonderful setting. We'll return next Spring. It was 4 celestial days with an incredibly active and friendly hostess. Alanna was truly impressive: quick to reply to any request, honest and honorable. Wonderful time all around!

great Los Olivos getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property has beautiful views (from inside and out) as seen in the photos, and was very clean, comfortable for 2 adults and well stocked. We really enjoyed morning coffee in the yard. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful for walking, yet close enough to town and the wineries. The only (possibly negative) things to note are:1. the spa has to be heated on demand so you have to tell the owner 1-2 hours before you want to use it, so that prevented any spontaneity. (we had asked in advance and were told it would be available for use) 2. you are sharing the property and some walls/ceilings with the owners who were there with their dog (although dog was quiet). So if you want total privacy when you're enjoying the outdoors (pool/spa or just lounging) this may bother you as they are upstairs facing the pool as well. 3. we had trouble several times getting in using the electronic keypad. It wouldn't always work. Fortunately, since the owner was on property and responded quickly, we weren't stuck outside long. (a new lock or batteries should fix that) 4. (last) the kitchen is small and handy for making small meals (e.g.breakfast) but there is no true kitchen sink (faucet drains in a plastic container that you have to dump out in the bathroom). Overall though we would stay here again.

Abdalla, Thank You so very much for your kind review! I use to have the Hot tub switch so guest could turn on, but it become very difficult as guests would leave on for hours! In the Country hot tub heated by propane which is very expensive, $20 an hour, so it was either raise nightly rate or put Hot Tub on request. Cell app turns on/off. Tub takes a hour to heat to 102. Guest quarters are soundproofed and underneath Deck & partial sunroom. I live in back so unless I stand directly by sunroom doors I cannot see the pool & it does not allow me to see hot tub, deck blocks view. Guest Quarters are soundproofed & only shares partial ceiling. You can hear my big mastiff walk in sunroom, LOL! The kitchenette sink does drain, sorry, the plastic container is only for washing any dishes if you choose. Otherwise housekeeper puts in dishwasher if left in sink. AND new digital door lock ! Thank You for your patience ! I so appreciate your help with comments as it gives me a chance to get back to you with concerns. You were 5 star guests and would love you to return in the future ! Lovely secluded spot with attentive host who respected privacy. Great to hear the crickets at night, see all the stars and swim in the pool. Quiet and spacious. Well stocked for heating leftovers with microwave, toaster oven and small fridge. Small stove/sink made cooking awkward. Wonderful bed. Extremely relaxing getaway.

What an amazing property. The place was like heaven. Stunning views, beautiful home with everything you needed, and more to have a great time. I loved the home inside and out. It was something you see in magazines. Let's not forget that massive, spotlessly clean pool. What a way to swim with the mountain views all around. My dogs also had the time of their lives. Our host Alanna was so on top of everything. She had the place set up so you didn't need to bring anything but your clothing. Alanna was the kindest, most caring host ever. We decided this will be our place to get away for long weekends every few months. Thank you Alanna for the best weekend we have had in years!!!
