This tranquil oasis offers a serene bedroom with A/C and a comfortable queen-sized bed on the second floor, while the living area provides privacy with a shoji door, a queen-sized sofa sleeper, and dining set. August 2024 Newly remodled bathroom with walk in shower. Stay connected with complimentary high-speed internet and Wi-Fi, and prepare meals in the fully-equipped kitchen before enjoying them on the lanai. The Hono Kai complex boasts beachfront views, a pool, on-site laundry facilities, and barbecue stations. Haycraft Beach Park is just steps away, leading to a 2.5-mile stretch of sandy shoreline. Explore Ma'alaea Village to the west for shopping, dining, and the Maui Aquarium. With one free parking spot per unit, you can easily come and go as you please. Unit B16 was larger than expected and had everything we needed for our stay. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to all areas on Maui. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. The Property Manager was was very responsive to requests. Overall, I would recommend this vacation rental. Mahalo, Destination Maui Vacations

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a great vacation. But area is SUPER windy. We went to east and west sides of the island and it was much calmer. The condo was ok. It has almost everything you need but I think they could go a little farther in providing more convenient stays for guests. Like there was dish soap but no sponge or dish cloth. Bathroom has only hand soap, but not even small sized shampoo and conditioner. It would be very helpful specially when you arrive late at night. There was only two cooking pots, one really small and one really big. Coffee maker didn’t have any coffee filters that are also would be helpful. There was beach chairs , But I think Some of them was not cleaned for so long it has a wasp nest attached to it. The location of the condo is OK but you have to drive everywhere. There is almost nothing to do in close proximity. Otherwise, we liked the condo It has plenty of linen and towels. It was good for the price we paid.

Maalaea Bay Hono Kai Condo

Very comfortable basic condo with a fantastic sand beach sheltered from the trade winds and very little waves. Convenient to all locations on Maui. It is in the landing path for incoming jets, but there are not many flights into Maui.

The unit itself was somewhat disappointing as it had only a double size bed for sleeping and a substandard size refrigerator ,that was also too small, for example.

GREAT location and cute condo

The best part about my stay here was the location! It is RIGHT on the beach, so I spent my mornings walking with coffee and my nights listening to the waves. It was a quick walk to the main shops of Maalea. The location also made for easy access to Lahaina and Paia/Road to Hana. The only downside was a notable strong sewer smell that seemed to be bad once a week.
