Sea Shed - a 3 bedroom 2 bath home that sleeps 9.

Renters Must Be 25 years of age or older to rent. Sea Shed is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that sleeps 9. It is a 3rd row home in the Cloon area. When your family stays at Sea Shed, you'll be just a short walk away from tons of fun in the sun on the beach! There is a downstairs shower to rinse off after a long day playing in the sand. Smell the salty air and listen to the sounds of the ocean while you're sitting on the deck with your favorite book or your morning coffee. There is plenty of room in the kitchen to prepare your favorite meals. Enjoy eating outside on the upstairs, or downstairs picnic tables. Wifi is available so you can share your favorite vacation photos with your friends and family! You don't have to leave your fur baby at home, pets are welcome with a $200 non-refundable pet fee.
**Even when provided, internet access/satellite TV/cell service can be UNRELIABLE on the BOLIVAR PENINSULA. We are a rural community and weather sensitive. We apologize, but Bolivar Escapes CANNOT GUARANTEE that these amenities WILL BE WORKING during your stay, and CANNOT OFFER REFUNDS for disruption of these services.**

We provide linens and bath towels in every house and standard beds are made for your arrival. Paper products and cleaning supplies are not included.

There is a starter pack consisting of the items below, please bring anything else you will need:
1 roll of paper towels
3 white kitchen trash bags
2 dishwasher tab (if applicable)
2 laundry tab (if applicable)
1 sponge
1 small dish soap
2 roll toilet paper per toilet
Small bar hand soap
Beauty bar per bath
Trial size shampoo/conditioner per full bath

Don't forget the beach towels, bug spray and sunscreen! Enjoy parasailing, sunset cruises, putt-putt, swim up bars, etc., on our beautiful peninsula!
This home might have an outdoor camera(s) to monitor the exterior of the home. Any attempt at disabling, redirecting or obscuring the camera(s) is prohibited and may result in the guest being evicted without refund of outstanding nights’ rents.
If a home has a lift or elevator, it is not for renter use unless otherwise stated in comments or with permission from Bolivar Escapes.
Please note, the mapping may be off on some properties. Please double check with us for the location. All of our homes are located at Crystal Beach/Port Bolivar/Gilchrist. Not Galveston.

The house is beautiful, beds are comfy. Lots of room. It was nice having TV's in every room and having wifi and many apps for shows/movies to choose from. We loved playing with the dominos and other games available. Almost a full wrap around porch and dual staircase was great. We could see the back porch from the beach where we were setup. The beach is just a very short walk from the house which was a !! There is 4 portable fans in the closet if you need one or more, 2 tabletop and 2 standup. There is not a crockpot. Not much tupaware with lids for leftovers either. Also no bath mat or rugs, so bring ur own. We brought a portable light for the downstairs outside shower, saw on another review they didnt have one. There is no firepot on the property but u can always do a fire at the beach as we did. Those were our only negatives about the house. The house is 2.5 miles from the bigstore. Water was great and weather was fantastic!! Hope this helps anyone planning to stay at the Sea Shed. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Good spring break getaway

This place was great. The house its self had pretty much anything you needed. There was a smell inside like maybe it had been shut up for awhile and you could definitely tell smokers had been there. But by day two we had it aired out and it was fine. The outside downstairs was filthy and dusty. Grass was not blown off from the last lawn service but we got it clean up and it was fine after that. The top frack area is great with good views of the water and great outdoor seating. Down stairs needs attention in the shower area and lights should be installed. Over all great place just needs a little tlc before summer to make it spectacular. We will probably consider it again because of the road it’s on and the very little traffic that’s on it.

One of the best beach vacations yet

The sea shed was a great house. It had everything we needed and was super clean. The beach was beautiful, clean and not crowded. We will definitely be back.

Great Location

Great location to beach- easy walk or take your vehicle right to the beach. Well appointed kitchen, lots of room and a clean house. Management company went above and beyond when we had a problem with our vehicle. Thank you to their maintenance man!

Great times

We had a great time with family and friends. This property is very nice. Loved the patio furniture. Awesome chairs to just sit , relax and make great memories. Beach is less than 5 minute walk and was pretty empty. We had rented the house during the week. I would highly recommend this property for renting. Enjoy!

Great beach vacation rental experience

This house is amazing! It is beautiful inside and had everything a person could need to stay at a house rental. When I realized they had a Keurig I almost cried. Location to the beach was almost as good as being on the beach. Just a few minutes walk to beach access entrance. Almost full wrap around porch was to die for. Great porch seating, made sitting outside feeling the breeze from the ocean so relaxing. When I have my next beach trip, this house will be at the top of my list to rent again. I had 4 teenagers with me and they loved the house and location as well.

We had an AWESOME time and plan to stay there again as soon as we can. We have already highly recommended both this house and Barbara Herman at Bolivar Escapes to friends for a perfect place to stay. Family vacation

The house is very nice and plenty of room for 7 people. Downside was the mosquitos were really bad. Keep us from using some of the outside area. Locals said its been like that since hurricane Laura. A can of off would have been nice from them to have left on the counter. We would stay at this house again but check mosquitos 1st. Overall we had a great time

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Good: Location is excellent. House is within walking distance from the beach & we really liked being able to go back & forth to the house whenever we wanted without worrying about losing our spot on the beach or packing/unpacking everything. House is also near a local, well stocked grocery store. Bedrooms & restrooms were perfect for our group size of 7. The Bad: Oh my God the mosquitoes were absolutely terrible! I assume it has something to do w/ hurricane Laura after effects. There were SO many on the lower level of the property & attacking us in swarms! It was unbearable - I've never seen anything like it. It must have been a problem for everyone as the store was out of almost anything mosquito related. Be sure to bring all your own mosquito supplies/sprays/candles, etc. The property has a shower on the lower level but we were not able to use it a single time. It was stuffed with furniture (6 chairs, a bench, 2 small grills, kids toys). I tried to pull everything out so we could use the shower but the clouds of mosquitoes were too much to handle. It probably would have been impossible to shower anyway because of the mosquito attacks. Also, there was no swing as pictured on the site, only hanging chains for where I think the swing should've been. Again, we probably couldn't have enjoyed it but just fyi for future guests. The Ugly: CHECK the house sheets, blankets and dishes!! Some were not cleaned when we arrived. The kid's room had stains on the mattress cover, blankets, pillow cases. The larger blue blanket had white had semen-like stains! It.Was.Disgusting. We had to go to the store, buy detergent and then wash so much stuff before letting our kids sleep in the rooms. Another white blanket in the master bedroom had orange splatter stains on it. There's no telling what that was but it looked like vomit to me. Totally unacceptable and gross! The house policy says you have to wash/dry/put away all dishes before departing but previous guests did not do so and there were dirty dishes and cups in the cupboard that had dried up coffee at the bottom. Like guests just finished their cup of joe and put the cup right back in the cabinet. For the money we paid I expected at the very least - cleanliness. There were also beer bottle caps & vape pens in the kitchen utensil drawers. Not sure why they charge a cleaning fee, if the house is dirty. Nobody inspects?? I took pictures & emailed w/the property co. and was refunded a tiny amount.

We enjoyed the stay!

The property was clean and had everything we needed for the stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find beach toys, games, books, toys in the house, etc for the kids! A couple of things that could be improved: The shower heads in both bathrooms could have been better. And the light in the downstairs shower did not work, which was okay for us because we would come back from the beach around 8pm at the latest, and there was still some daylight then. Our experience overall was great and would come back again!

Excellent Stay

I truly enjoyed my stay. The house is perfect. There is no question if I will be back it’s when I will be back. Everything is exactly as described. Your close enough to the beach to see the beach. I love it.

Family vacation

The house was very nice, clean and just right for my family. The beach was great, however, the weather didn’t always cooperate. I would definitely recommend this house!!! Thank you!

Convenient to beach

House floor plan works perfectly for families. Kitchen is equipped adequately (except there is no blender), it’s small but efficient. We enjoyed our stay and would rent here again.
