We appreciate the communication you had with us regarding a few other things and wish you had reached out about the unit not being clean. Other than the things you mentioned, we hope you were able to enjoy the area and your time at the beach.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the balcony, beach access, and the overall space, though I’m sorry some aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. To clarify a few things: the HOA does provide complex maps in the check-in packet, though I understand the layout can still feel confusing if you’re unfamiliar with North Coast Village. We’ll pass along your comments about the laundry facilities to the HOA as well, since they oversee and maintain those spaces. Regarding the lack of A/C, we do disclose this in our listings so that guests are fully aware ahead of time. That said, I’m sorry the fans in the unit weren’t working properly. If we had known during your stay, we would have happily brought over replacements right away. As for the unit’s location, that is also disclosed in the listing, but we recognize it’s difficult to know what the surroundings are like until you’ve been here. Noise is something that can vary from guest to guest—while we do get very few complaints from this unit, we’re sorry it was bothersome for you. We take your feedback seriously and will continue to work with both our team and the HOA to ensure the guest experience is the best it can be. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to host your next stay at the beach!

The HOA posts signs in the hallways, common areas, and outside buildings if they are doing a water shut off at least 24 hrs in advance. We also do what we can to notify guests if the HOA makes us aware. You can always contact us as well if you experience a water shut off and we can speak to the HOA to get more information, like how long it will be off and if there were signs posted.

Usually being right on the beach the temperature is pretty good. This summer was definitely hotter than past years but with windows and doors open as well as the fans we provide for the unit you can keep it pretty temperate. We do also provide earplugs and white noise machines for units like this one that are closer to the train.
