While our stay here was interrupted by Hurricane Lala, we still made the most of it. Once the storm passed we were treated with the serenity of the crashing waves and some pretty amazing views. We were also able to walk the beach for a couple miles up toward Ha’ena Beach to take in all the North Shore has to offer. I would highly recommend this location for the simplicity and spectacular sunrises alone, and we will definitely be back to fill in the gaps left by the passing Hurricane.

We were so pleased (and lucky) to have experienced our time at the colony and our hearts go out to all in Hanalei, Haena, and the North Shore on Kauai after Lowell hit. We were able to leave the island a few days early and are safely back in Seattle. So saddened to see the destruction from the hurricane and know people are suffering without power or in some cases water/food. Would love to know how we can help.

We could hear the crashing of the waves and were kept cool through the night by the ocean breeze. We woke to the beautiful sunrise every morning on the deck. Spectacular views of the ocean!

Location and views excellent, Broken / taped window obstructs view from inside. Bed comfortable, amenities in unit good. Onsite restaurant not good, but onsite coffee shop is excellent.

The property sits in a beautiful location! Short drive to town for dining and groceries. The linens needed to be washed more frequently. Referring to quilts. They smelled of weeks of oil build up and sweat. Overall the beds were comfortable and the place was clean. Also…soaps and shampoos in the bathrooms need updated as the liquid has separated in them and the holder is rusty. We were delayed an hour and a half checking in due to a window repair that was not communicated. Gorgeous beach view!!

Can’t beat this view and being so close to the ocean. Pool area looks new and excellent area! Day spa massage was great! We really like that it’s run by locals & do a great job with an older property.

Absolutely beautiful

We absolutely loved this place, brewing our coffee and taking a walk on the beach while enjoying the beautiful sunrise each morning. We will stay here again

Perfect Location and Simple Stay

Simple accommodation with everything you need. Nice Lanai directly at the beach. Tunnels Beach is 30min beach walk away.

The location is heavenly—beautiful view of the beach and Milky Way at night! The pool and grill are are very clean and comfortable/easy to use. Friendly staff at check in. While I would absolutely stay here again, the shower could use updating. Overall, a wonderful experience and stay!

Love the location and overall experience!Host should disclose that the picture window is broken as it is a dramatic break and of course impacts the view.We noticed ants on the main bathroom floor and on the divider shelf between the king bed and living room.Would absolutely return:)

The property is lovely - right on the ocean. It is nicely decorated and clean. Some things definitely show some weathering - as is expected when so exposed to the elements. The Resort is lovely too. The pool area was very nice. I would definitely stay there again if I were to return to Kauai.

Great little condo with lots of privacy and amazing views. Functional and comfortable for a family with two kids. The area is quite windy and the beach is not kid friendly but still a beautiful place. We had the best sunrises, hope to come back.

Amazing!

What an amazing place to stay near Hanalei! The view is amazing and you are literally steps away from the beach. We slept awesome listening to the ocean every night. We definitely recommend this property!

Steps away from the beach

Great location. Steps away from the beach. Coffee shop on property as well as a restaurant. Enjoyed the beautiful walk from the property beach to Tunnels Beach!
