Owned by one family for over 31 years as a luxury vacation home, this condo was extensively remodeled and updated. A luxury home, not a routine cheaply furnished rental. Sitting on a bluff with commanding views of the ocean, the sounds of the waves mix with the tropical breezes to create the ultimate in island living. Two oceanfront lanais surround the beautiful living area complete with comfort and elegance. If contact with the world is needed, there is Wireless Internet as well as a 65 inch HDTV cable TV with extensive premium channels (Netflix, Hulu etc.). (2nd HDTV in Bedroom and Netflix/DVD TV in 2nd bedroom), Wireless speakers for iPhone, iPads etc, High speed wireless Internet access. Books, games and a large collection of DVDs (some children DVDs included). A complete kitchen (with dishwasher) is present for home cooked meals. Immediately adjacent to the The One Hotel.

This was our first stay on Kauai, and what a place to start! The forecast was for rain throughout our visit, but the weather-guessers got it wrong... and we were blessed with fantastic weather throughout our stay. The condo was clean, very well stocked, and the kitchen had all the necessary items for cooking meals. The only minor gripe is that the mattress in the master bedroom seemed a little past its prime and could use replacing soon. That said, it did not greatly affect our stay. The patio offered breathtaking views of the rugged coast to the north; and surfers, turtles, and breaching whales were spotted during our visit. The Puu Poa condo complex appeared to be well kept, had ample parking available, and the pool and tennis facilities were much appreciated. It is an easy walk to both Puu Poa and Hideaway beaches. We ended up loving the Princeville area and would highly recommend it. Will visit again!

The home was incredibly spacious and the views were incredible. The layout was perfect for our family and everything was well stocked.The nights were cool with the big beautiful sliding doors open and the fans going, and the house was also nice and cool in the daytime. Impeccably clean, and as others have said, more spacious and even nicer inside than the pictures show. We would 100% stay here again. If you are looking at other places, the slight price increase for this location over some others is totally worth it.

We stayed here for two weeks in December and enjoyed it. The location is peaceful and quiet, with ocean views exactly like the photos in the listing. Check‑in was easy, and the condo itself was spotless, nicely decorated, and surprisingly spacious. It was just the two of us, but there was easily enough room for four. The huge living room TV with multiple streaming apps was a great bonus.The hosts also stocked the place with thoughtful extras—soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, and even a filtered‑water pitcher in the fridge—plus other conveniences that made settling in easy and the suitcase lighter. The bed was very comfortable, and there was an assortment of pillows so you can choose what works best for you. All amenities were in good condition, and the pool was always clean and refreshing. Lots of room for parking. We did feel the pricing was a bit higher than comparable places we've stayed. A couple of tips: bring binoculars for whale watching, and note that the bedroom door is louvered—so if you’re sensitive to light or sound, pack an eye mask and earplugs. Another tip: the doorbell isn’t working, and the door locks automatically when it closes, so keep your key handy.Our favorite food spots were Happy Talk (don’t miss it!) during their 3–6pm Happy Hour) and The Terrace for another solid Happy Hour option. Also, the Hanalei Burger, Big Nick’s, and Hanalei pizza by the slice.

Walter was a great host, place is even more beautiful than in pictures. Super comfy bed, slept like a baby, and didn’t mind having a cozy day inside when it poured all day because the place was so lovely. Not a sterile/personality-less rental property. This feels like your rich friend let you stay at their second home. Can’t recommend enough

Great condo , fabulous location. Warm wood floors, lovely art, felt more like a home. Perfect for my husband and I and our teen son. Fabulous to have the one hotel next-door, which we had many meals. Walking distance to multiple beaches, although they are steep Hills so the beaches are not ideal for those with mobility issues. Not a concern for us. Will be back.

The pictures don’t do this place justice. The views are incredible. The terrace is huge. Spent hours watching surfers and whales from there. Also spent a lot of time at Pu’u Poa beach next door. Lots of steps but all paved and a less treacherous trek than Hideaway Beach. The condo itself is really well equipped, everything very high quality. I cooked multiple nights and it had everything I needed. I almost didn’t book this place because of the ugly sofa in the pictures. That sofa’s not even there now. Replaced by a much nicer one. So glad I chose it, spent an unforgettable 8 days there..

great location for North Shore

We were two 79 and 81 guys (hetero sexual), celebrating our birthdays in Kauai. In addition, I was celebrating life after cancer. The location was perfect. Next door to the 1Hotel..The beds were great, the living room furniture is dated, tired and uncomfortable. The TV adequate. In general a wonderful place to stay for 10 days.

Fabulous lanai!

Our host was very accommodating after a very stressful situation regarding the Hoa. He managed to make it right with very positive results. Loved the unit and especially the lanai! Would definitely come back to this unit!

This was an ideal place to stay - beautiful condo, with upgraded amenities and decor, comfortable king size bed, good shower. Everything was thoughtfully placed and the best part was the fabulous views of the ocean. The property felt so private and we loved the ability to walk to the nearby amazing beaches as well as The Hotel right next door with their restaurants and gorgeous views. We are already planning for when we can return to this exact site- it was well worth the money and felt like a home away from home. Thanks to the owners for notifying through Vrbo site the key code to get in was different than the one Vrbo posted in communication to us. Would recommend first arriving before it’s dark as there wasn’t much light to see at the entrance. But as soon as we were there it was so worth the trip to be there and then we took a big inhale and exhale to aloha and had a most relaxing vacation. Thank you again!
