Jory, Thank you for your review! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the bears are quite active in the area since the Hatcher Mountain Fire of 2022. As a result, the displaced bears provide quite the experience for seeing them up close.

I respect your right to leave feedback. However, to be fair, I would like to share our side of the situation. I did communicate with you all via email on April 20, 2021 and even issued you a refund of $558.16 on that date. You were billed for the one night you chose to stay. You did not use any of the many options available to communicate with us. We provide an after-hours emergency number (which you contacted after the fact). We also provide the office phone number which is answered from 9 AM - 5 PM EST. The After-hours number is to be used thereafter. We show that you checked in early in the afternoon on 04/16/2021. Directions and the Departure and After Hours Emergency # Documents were emailed to you on 04/16/2021 at 12:36 PM EST. When Ruby spoke with your spouse, your spouse indicated that you all would be arriving around 1:00 PM. You did send the email with pictures on April 17, 2021 at 9:43:10 PM EDT. (You had indicated that you stayed the one night only and we had no idea that there were any issues with your stay). As I explained to you in the email response, the email you sent the complaint to is not monitored daily. I did respond on 04/20/2021 after you all texted the After Hours Emergency Number. Moreover, you did not send the email until 04/17/2021 at 9:43 PM. The pictures were taken during daylight hours. Up until this point, you had not communicated with us to alert us to the fact of the issues. When our guests alert us to a problem, we do our best to get it resolved quickly so our guests may enjoy their stay. Thank you.
