Note that there is no barrier between the house and the the seawall. If you have little ones that are a falling hazard please be aware of this.

For security reasons we will not disclose the address until a booking is confirmed.
We are responsible for providing a safe, comfortable space, clean linens, and kitchen utensils. Any personal preferences (spices, coffee, breakfast) is the responsibility of the guest.
You will be living on an island and wifi or power outages are not completely unheard of. If you get one of these just hold on for an hour or so, they don't usually last long. If it's longer than that let me know I can call Xfinity and see what's going on. I cannot be held responsible for any outages for WiFi, Cable, water service, or anything else that is completely out of my control.

PLEASE let me know if there's some sort of problem that needs fixing/addressing. Since we live 1,350 miles away now there is no way for me to know if the house needs attention unless I'm told.

Marathon Magic

Everything about this property was awesome! Beautiful home, updated kitchen, new appliances, super comfortable furniture - plenty of towels. The outdoor view and pool were perfection! Even the pool floaties! The only problem was we only booked for one week - thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. Location -also great! Close to restaurants, the beach and groceries!stores.

Kayaking from the property was great, the pool and location just made the stay even better! Convenient drive to Key West for day visits.

We absolutely loved our stay!

This house had everything you need and breathtaking views! The kayaks were amazing to use right from the backyard we even had manatees swim up to us. It is so close to everything you need and right by an amazing beach and multiple children parks and dog parks. Host was very responsive! We loved our stay!

Marathon Key Reunion

Nice property with plenty of room for our group of seven. Lots of fun time relaxing around the pool. We saw manatee almost every day as well as tarpon and other fun wildlife. Our host was responsive and handled any issues in a timely manner.

Great Host!

The property was great, but the host made it even better. We had a small concern at check-in. We contacted the host and he responded quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

pictures are deceiving

worst VRBO. the condo was trashed. stuff all over the yard. the freezer was rusted and laying out in driveway. the couch was broken ( which owner offered to fix) but it was filthy. there were pills laying around. diet on floor. the carpet looked like someone tried to bleach the whole thing. it smelled. again ... the couch was stained and gross. we let owner know .... he offerred to clean grill however once you see all of the grease etc, you don't even want to use. we left early. felt like we had bugs on us

Great location

Beautiful area with lots to do. Overall we enjoyed the home and it fit our 4 adults and 4 children (ages 8-12) with plenty of room. Pool was great to keep cool and we did plenty of fishing off the dock. The house has been a little used and abused as some rentals do. The pictures make it appear a little nicer than in person. I’d recommend some better quality bedding/sheets and pool towels.

Great place with a few missing items

Not enough bedding for 10 people, no dishwasher detergent, no laundry detergent, only one roll of paper towels and very little propane for a one week stay.

Great Place for a Big Group

We took a little vacation to the keys with our parents and adult children. We had 10 adults ranging in age from 24 to 80 and fit comfortably. This property is close to shops and very relaxing with the pool and canal. We were able to park our boat right outside of the yard and house was equipped with a cleaning table and freezer for our catch. A drawback was that it took 40 minutes to get through the canal out to sea, but we knew this before we rented and I believe the owner has priced this rental with that in mind. We did not use the BBQs as they had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Otherwise, our stay was great and very relaxing!

Family Trip

Great place to stay! Plenty of room, well equipped home. After you get out of the canals on Atlantic you are close to the 7 Mile bridge and can get to Gulf side with ease. Pool was great to get off the boat and cool off.

Jay our host communicated and responded rapidly and answered all of our questions. Everything was clean and very very pet friendly! Highly recommend! Will be staying here again :)

Good Location - Plenty of Room for Family Vacation

This was our first time to Marathon and we really enjoyed the location of the property. It was very close to the grocery store, shopping, restaurants, and Sombrero Beach! The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. There was plenty of room for our 6 person family and our two dogs loved it too! The only reason I am giving a 4-star review is because I agree with a previous review there are some areas of the home that need to be addressed to make this a 5-star property. The day we arrived the grass in the backyard was overgrown. We had to contact the owner to have it mowed. It was not cut until Monday afternoon which hindered us from using the pool/backyard area during the first two days of our vacation. The owner was very responsive which we appreciated. Our issue was why was it not scheduled to be done before our arrival. Also in the backyard, there is plenty of seating but the 3 lounge chairs there are not in good condition. One was ripped and it was a safety issue. There are several issues inside that need to be addressed as well. In the kitchen, there was no sink stopper so it made it difficult to wash dishes. The dishwasher had no cover for the buttons so we were unsure what setting we were using. The lock on the primary bathroom was gone and the light/fan in the same bathroom was missing, which were both very inconvenient. The owner is very responsive so we are sure he will address these minor issues to help this property to be perfect!

Great Family Vacation House

This is a beautiful beach house that felt like home away from home. It’s was beautifully decorated, clean and comfy. We especially loved all the attention to details like plenty of umbrellas at the pool and nice seating on the upstairs patio. Great view of the canal and close the lots of fun things.

Family and fisherman’s paradise rental

Awesome place , close to boat ramps , very clean , very nice size dock . Great fishing for the kids from the dock. Caught snook, tarpon, snappers, red drum. Will be returning next year for sure!!!

Great Family Birthday Stay!

Fabulous property for a family of 6 with pets that made the trip for a combined birthday trip. Nice location on the water with a 60' dock so we rented a pontoon boat for the week for exploring, snorkeling and fishing. Accomodations were very nice and the small pool was perfect after a day on the water. There was good privacy from the adjoining unit and noise was never an issue. All family members enjoyed their own space as needed. The outdoor space worked well with both pool lounging and fishing prep. Jay, the owner, was responsive to any messages when the trash service didn't pick up recycled or trash as scheduled. The unit was nicely appointed with a view of the canal and passing boats. Overall a great experience despite the higher seasonal expense.

Good location

This VRBO was located in a nice area. Felt secure and it was comfortable overall, with lots of nice decor and a nice pool. Mostly sound useful furniture. Good TV and Wi-Fi (bring your own streaming). Close to the beach - 5 minute drive, close to grocery shopping. USB ports would have been awesome. Should be noted in listing that this is on a busy, sometimes noisy road. There were lots of areas that need to be fixed with this unit. The carpet was dirty; the trash had not been put out for pick up and so cans were full; the whole place needs repainting; needs hooks in bedrooms and bathrooms. Only towel holder in master bath was shower door bar; hooks for toiletry kits would be helpful; missing door lock in master bath; 11 pillows on king bed, but only 5 hangers in closet(!) we took some from other closets; some dirty dishes were in cabinet; several cockroaches upstairs, and sugar ants in kitchen; comforters are too hot for Florida temps; could not find remote for TV in master bedroom; dishwasher not secured permanently - very tippy! Lawn was overgrown when we arrived and was never mowed during our stay which resulted in it being too buggy to sit outside in the evening. Broken down outdoor lawn chairs, and beach umbrella. Unit 2 needs some TLC

Perfect location

My friends and I have been doing a deep sea fishing trip together for 17 consecutive years. We’ve always tried to fish the keys but the opportunity has never presented itself until now. Check in/out was seamless. 5 of us stayed here very comfortably. We were able to cook our catch with ease in the nicely furnished kitchen. The spot was perfect for us. We fished the canal behind the property and took a few kayak floats as well. The Publix is 2 minutes away and plenty of restaurants are close. If we’re able to fish the keys again, we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended. -S.P.

Girls’ Getaway

We loved our stay! Jay was incredibly responsive to our questions, check in was a breeze, and the home was beautiful. We loved the location and outdoor space more than anything. The canal was so nice to kayak in and we saw lots of manatees right up at the dock! The pool was wonderful and the location was quiet. We could access anything we wanted to in the Keys within a reasonable amount of time. We had a wonderful few days and I hope we can return again! Thanks for a great stay!

Dissatisfied renter

This house needs a total cleaning and upgrade. The furniture was smelly and dirty, the rug was in disrepair, the mattresses were old and squeaked. The pots and pans were old scratched up Teflon. The yard was a mess. Owner did respond by mailing a new fry pan and spatula and new cushions for the chairs. Overall they need a property manager on site to lay eyes on the house and bring it up to a higher standard.
