The quaint flat is 2100 sq. ft. and well appointed with vaulted ceilings and spacious, comfortable rooms with plenty of windows to capture the view. The beds are very comfortable also. I have a playpen and seat with a tray for your baby to eat at the table. Also, children’s toys, books and games for everyone.
The house is in a very safe rural setting. It's close to the highway so it is loud outside but the inside is pretty well insulated from sound. It is an easy drive to Savannah, 15 minutes, Bluffton 15 minutes or HHI, 30 minutes and right on the river so you can fish from the porch. There are some poles and other equipment out there but I don’t maintain it. People are always getting the line all tangled up and I’m not the best fisher lady. You are welcome to use that or bring your own and the fish love any type of meat like hotdogs or leftovers. Speaking of leftovers, you’re welcome to throw them in the river for the turtles and fish or feed them to the chickens. Feel free to leave your leftovers in the refrigerator and I would be happy to feed them to the chickens.
The main house is elevated, completely separate and private with a full kitchen, large living room and formal dining room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. You will even have your own entrance and driveway.
I do a very thorough, deep clean between guests. The home also has an i-wave air purifier installed in the air handler that kills bacteria, viruses, mold and other pollutants.
There are 6 decks to relax and visit, sleep, sun, dine, fish or swim.
There are lots of birds, lizards, skinks, fish, turtles and an occasional alligator.
Take a stroll into the side yard and sit in the gazebo or make a fire in the fire pit.
You may use my 2 kayaks to explore the beautiful river. They are flat, 3 seats with a 500 lb weight limit. You have to go when the tide is up. I will be happy to help with them. They are in the boathouse in the backyard.
The driveway will hold up to 5 cars and is 75 feet long.
A great location close to HWY 95, 12 miles from downtown Savannah, 14 miles from the airport, 6 miles to Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, 7 miles to Historic Bluffton, 15 miles to beaches of Hilton Head and 20 miles to Historic Beaufort and Paris Island.
I live on the ground level and maintain the property. The washer and dryer are in the garage. Unfortunately, if you need to use them, because of their location, you will have to ask for access to them or arrange a time for me to do your laundry.
We have 2 very small friendly dogs that do bark their greetings, 9 chickens in the back yard and two friendly cats that stay outside. No animals go upstairs for people with sensitivities to pets. There is a new park about 2 miles away. There is a really cool playground for kids to play on and there’s a little area to have a little get together and bathrooms and a walking trail. They’re fixing up this big red barn for weddings. There’s a large Publix shopping center at May River Crossing with an ice cream shop, a liquor store, Flat bread grill and bar. Across the street from Publix there’s a breakfast place called Eggs Up and New York butcher shop and some other shops and restaurants. Also around that circle is a Parker‘s gas and convenience store and Wendy’s. So just 2 miles away there’s lots to do and eat. Bluffton Cinemark is at Buckwalter Place about 7 miles from here and there’s an Outback, One Hot Mama’s, a Mexican restaurant and others. There are two Tanger outlet malls in Bluffton with Texas roadhouse and Olive Garden in front and a Ross, Marshalls, Old Navy, off of Highway 278. So many restaurants and shops nearby.
