Cozy and comfortable wooded cabin

This property is located in the heart of Alta in a quiet wooded setting. It is a great base for hiking, fishing and skiing in the Tahoe basin. It is 30 minutes from Boreal Ski resort and 45 min from Truckee. We have a huge deck with a BBQ, great for relaxing while having a cup of coffee, or just visiting with family and friends. Plenty of room around the property for the kids and a fire pit to enjoy at night. There is also access to a community pool in Dutch Flat 5 minutes away. This cabin was built in 2010 as my parents summer home and has all the comfort and conveniences. Owners live on site in the separate main house.

Scott and Dana are wonderful hosts, and the property is a quiet getaway in the woods. The surrounding property is beautiful. Overall, a great stay, highly recommended!!

This cabin was perfect! Lovely, comfortable, had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It's close enough to I-80 to be convenient but tucked far enough away to feel like we were in the middle of the forest. The hosts were very accommodating, friendly, and communicative. This was exactly what we needed! Just wish we could have stayed longer.

I really enjoyed my cozy stay. I enjoyed some wonderful peace and quiet which is exactly what I needed. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I had everything I needed. The cabin was clean and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and the trees are amazing. Also, their labradoodle and kitty are awesome.

Cozy cabin

This cabin was absolutely amazing! It was extremely clean, very well stocked in the kitchen, and had all the streaming services on the TV the kids could ask for! The view in the morning looking out into the forest was stunning. The cats that greeted us upon arrival made us feel like we were at home. I would highly recommend this place and would love to stay again.

Lovely Relaxing Weekend

Our stay was exactly what we were looking for. The property was as expected: clean, comfortable, and very cozy. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming and the location is perfect. We all really enjoyed our visit and would gladly return for another trip.

Love this place!

The Cozy Cabin was exactly that. Beautiful surroundings and easy to locate. My family and I had plans to ski at Soda Springs for the weekend, which was a short 30 minutes to the hill, which worked out perfectly. Out of the hustle and bustle of traffic and a quiet retreat. Easy in easy out. Thank you, Scott and Dena!

Cozy Perfect Ski Weekend

Wonderful spot - worked perfectly for a family ski trip, a quick 30 minute drive up to Royal Gorge and Sugar Bowl. The cabin was spotless when we arrived, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped. Our hosts were kind and accommodating and we loved staying in the quiet forest at the end of the road. We'll be back!

Wonderful Getaway Location

Beautiful and peaceful location. Cabin very well designed and constructed with great view of the forest. Cabin well stocked and lots of special touches to make it feel like home. A wonderful anniversary getaway for us.

This is a great place. My family enjoyed staying 3 nights here. This cabin has everything like someone is living. Easy access to the ski resort and snow parks. Definitely going back when we go the area again!

Great foothill cabin!

This is a beautiful secluded cabin in the Sierra foothills, about 30 - 45 minutes from Tahoe. Hosts were very welcoming and easy to interact with, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was furnished well enough for us to cook all of our own meals.

Sweet little place

Needed a little getaway. The family and I were able to spend three nights at the cabin to relax and unwind. Enjoyed the surroundings, friendly cat, dog and sweet property owners. We enjoyed walking around and playing outside. We will be back to have some tranquility again.

Wonderful hosts and cozy cabin!

We had such a wonderful stay here in a snowstorm! Scott and Dena were amazing hosts from helping us anticipate road conditions getting there on a stormy weekend to all of the small touches that made staying there with kids easy and fun! Our kids loved the toys, we loved the fully stocked kitchen and cooking together, the orientation of the cabin out to the woods is just beautiful. We look forward to another visit!

Wonderful cabin

This cabin went above and beyond our expectations! It had a great layout for our family, plenty of space, all the amenities you would need either in the kitchen, bedrooms or bathrooms. We felt very at home and the owners were so kind. Would definitely come back next time!

Perfect Stay Near the Snow

We had a great stay in Alta here. Celebrated my daughters birthday with a few friends here. Close enough that we could enjoy the Truckee / Donner area without having to worry about traffic and pricey rentals. Very nice place to stay for the 6 of us. The hosts were very accomodating and made us all feel very welcome and at home. Thank you!
