Great sights

The balcony is large and has great views of beach and pool. Overlooking gardens of palm trees and flowers. There’s a place for grilling. The room could use more tidy up.

Sterling Shores 817

Condo was in good shape and was clean when I arrived. Kitchen had everything I needed to fix my dinners. Only down side the unit did not have any beach chairs that I could bring down to the beach. I would recommend this unit to others.

Greatest part is the view

When we first arrived, of course the view was what took our breaths away. But it was as we settled in and night fell that it took a horrible turn. We went for groceries earlier in the day, came back, unloaded, went to the pool and when we returned there were roaches on our loaves of bread. Fortunately the bread hadn’t been opened but it was not pleasant to see. We then saw roaches in the sinks and coming from behind the stove and immediately called the vacasa help line but one could help until they next day. They finally called us around 10:30 am the next morning and said pest control wouldn’t be able to come in and it seemed like they didn’t really care that there were roaches in our unit. Give me ants or even a spider here and there, but I can’t do roaches and for as much money as we paid, it should have been spotless and hardly a bug in sight. So many ppl stayed there that me and my husband were curious if anyone else had a roach problem? Pest control eventually came through but all they did was stick a wand under the stove and fridge and leave a mess of dead roaches on the floor. The living room furniture was super outdated and uncomfortable and the master bed was awful. Really hurt my and my husband’s back. Overall, I would not recommend this unit, especially to those with family. We had 3 young kids with us. The only perk of this unit is the oceanfront view and for that we don’t mind finding another rental in a different part of Destin for that.

Perfect place to stay in Destin

We were able to check in slightly early, we were helped by a sweet young lady from Vacasa. We went to the room and were in awe by the view. The pool looked great, the gulf was amazing! I was pleasantly surprised that the gulf was a short walk away. We didn’t have to cross any major roads or fight tons of traffic. The amenities were great. Unfortunately the pool was closed because of a sanitary concern which was rectified within a day. The room was a bit dated with furnishings and what not which was not a takeaway from the experience. The master bed is my only complaint. It was really firm/uncomfortable, might be time for an upgrade. You will not regret booking this room! Would certainly look to book again when we return.

Anniversary trip

The view over the Gulf of Mexico was beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. Everything you needed was there. And I really enjoyed the jacuzzi in the bathroom. I would definitely stay there again. Just wonderful!!!!

Terrible Stay!

I would not recommend staying at this property. #817 had mold covered in master shower. Mold on the ceiling and walls. They had a guy come look at it and “clean it” the second day we were there. All he did was spray some disinfectant and scrape the wall/paint off and left. The shower now is still got mold on ceiling and sides of walls but now I have paint and dirt from his shoes all in the shower. Like I am supposed to clean this??? Needless to say, we didn’t get to utilize our shower. We had to share ONE shower between us all. For the money I paid it was trash. Oh and there were roaches crawling on the walls. So there was that. I have pics too.

Great Location

The unit was cleaned and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. I loved the location of the place. It was located by lots of restaurants and shopping places. We barley used any gas the four days we were there. We definitely plan on staying here again in the future.

This property is exactly like it is pictured! Beach is beautiful and the location is perfect. I would definitely use this location again when I visit Destin in the future.

Simply Amazing

First we showed and the condo's are gated, it was nice to know that normal traffic wouldn't be inundating us. We found our condo and was pleased with the cleanliness, space and location. We were in room 817 so we had a perfect view of the beach but it's not exactly on the beach but was perfect for us, just a 5 minute walk. We will definitely be back!

Our September Vacation in Destin

We loved condo 817. Loved the furniture and colors, and the upgraded appliances. The beds were very comfortable too. The views from this condo were just gorgeous. This is our second stay at Sterling Shores and we're already planning our next stay in May. When we arrived the lounge chair on the balcony was broken, but maintenance came up same day to fix it. The only complaint I have would be that the carpets do need to be cleaned. You can see the high traffic areas especially. I did email Michael Belba to let him know, and also mentioned it to Lawana when she called our first morning there. When we left I let another manager named Michael know and he was actually surprised that no one had asked if we wanted them cleaned when we arrived. That's the only thing that held me back from giving 5 stars.

Quarantine vacation 2020

The view, pool, and beach access were excellent. It was our first trip to Destin and we will definitely be returning. The condo could use a few improvements considering the rental fee. The master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced-was terribly uncomfortable and the quality of kitchen supplies needs to upgraded.
