Resort Fee & Check-In Information

Taking off due to cleanliness. When we arrived I could see base boards were dirty and the fridge smelt like fish. I could tell it hadn’t been refreshed since the last guests stayed due to the little dead insects in different areas inside which I had to go around and clean up. Personally I don’t think I should have to clean up after leaving like sand. No excess sand was brought in only what you would expect at a beach property. I had to vacuume the condo before leaving… which again isn’t that what housekeeping is for? Other than that our stay was great and it has great views! There were also dryer sheets in the vents? Don’t know if previous guests or housekeeping out there but that definitely tells me it wasn’t touched since.

We’re sorry a few details did not meet your expectations upon arrival. Our home is professionally cleaned and sanitized between every guest, with more detailed items such as baseboards included in our scheduled deep-cleaning process throughout the year. Being directly beachfront in Destin, fine sand is naturally an ongoing part of coastal living, but our goal is always for the home to feel fresh, clean, and welcoming when you arrive. We’re also sorry about the lingering seafood odor in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, cooking odors from a previous guest can sometimes remain even after cleaning, and housekeeping had clearly made an effort to freshen the space. We appreciate the feedback and will certainly review the items mentioned with our housekeeping team. Most importantly, we’re happy to hear you otherwise had a great stay and enjoyed those wonderful Gulf views. We feel very fortunate to share our home with families visiting Destin and hope you left with some great beach memories!
