Welcome to Black Clock Cabin. Relax and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.

Private location with stream and close to town. 3BD/3BA w/full, finished basement in desirable neighborhood. Two bedrooms have king size beds. Enjoy the fast rushing creek/waterfall from 2 covered porches. Tastefully decorated interior includes stone gas fireplace, updated kitchen w/granite-top peninsula island and hardwood floors.

Cabin is located within 5 minutes of Murphy and 15 minutes from the casino. It is located in Tarheel North Subdivision at the end of Trickling Branch Road. The house feels secluded but is in a secure and a safe neighborhood.

This cabin has been our "happy place" for the past several years. It is a wonderful place to enjoy family and friends by just relaxing on the covered decks and listening to the creek which is especially noisy after a heavy rain.

The neighborhood is peaceful and a great place to take a walk in the late afternoons. If you enjoy nature, the Murphy River Walk is only a couple of miles from the cabin. If you enjoy music, you can normally find someone playing in a restaurant downtown.

Just in case you have never visited the area, I have to warn you that everyone is friendly and normally love to talk. So don't get in a hurry and simply enjoy the slow pace. Your stress will fade away!! Who know's you may decide like many others to buy a Mountain home of your own and create your own "happy place". Until then, please enjoy ours.

Darrell is an excellent host. He provided detailed instructions and checked on us to make sure we made it to the cabin. The cabin is beautiful and very clean. I highly recommend staying here.

Senior Sibling weekend

This is our third stay at this cabin. Reasons we love: three bedrooms have either a queen or king bed and each room has its own full bathroom. The owner has little touches that make our stay comfortable. We are three couples all in our sixties. Close to town of Murphy as well as 30 minutes from Blue Ridge GA and Blairsville Ga. Relaxing around the table or in front of the fireplace or firepit on the porch. A stream at the base of the property can be head from the porch. The owner is very good with open communication. Great to work with. We love this place and will be sbback.

Restful, Peaceful, Delightful Home Away From Home!

Our second visit to Black Clock Cabin was absolutely wonderful. The home is beautiful and very comfortable. The host is always kind, caring, and communicative, and always is genuinely helpful. We love this beautiful place. The porch is a complete refuge with the quiet stream and the sweet sounds of the birds. We saw many deer which was also delightful! The sofas and beds are so comfortable and there are plenty of pillows and blankets. There are puzzles, books , games, and dvd’s if you are looking for some quiet things to do while there.Truly a wonderful get away for us that we cannot wait to come back to again!

Black Clock Cabin

This was our 3rd year in a row to stay at Black clock Cabin for our annual motorcycle trip to Murphy and the surrounding area. The central location & paved road all the way to the cabin are awesome if you are on a motorcycle. The cabin is clean, quite and tranquil with the small steam down below. We highly recommend it for your next trip to the NC Mtns.

The location was perfect, close to Murphy and short drive to Blue Ridge! Everything one might need away from home was waiting for you. Darrell was a perfect host, best I’ve had in past 20 years!

Magic in Murphy, NC

Great trip to a beautiful, magical cabin "in the woods!" Have stayed in many cabins near home in Chattanooga. This is, by far, the nicest, cleanest and most peaceful cabin that we have stayed in during the past 15+ years. You will not be disappointed.. until you have to leave! 😊

Exactly as advertised

This was a BEAUTIFUL cabin, very private and quiet. Close to several very good restaurants and fishing areas. It was probably the cleanest rental we’ve ever had. Darrell was easily accessible and check in was easy with clear instructions on check in/check out. Will definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful place!

We got there and didnt realize it was so big! We used the 2 bedrooms in the basement. Loved watching the stream, and swinging on the swing. The cabin was quiet and made you feel st ease. The cabin was very clean, and the owner was very easy to talk to as he answered our calls very prompt. Very happy i chose the cabin, i highly suggest the stay, i really enjoyed it..thank you.

You know that uneasy feeling you get right before the trip? The one that hopes and prays that the listing and photos weren't exaggerated? Put your fears to rest travelers, because this place is a gem. The house is a couple of miles away from downtown Murphy and 6 miles from the casino. The rooms are huge, the outdoor living spaces are amazing (2 huge decks with plenty of furniture plus the soothing soundtrack from the birds and the creek below). The location is private without feeling remote, the beds/bedding/pillows are comfy with plenty of layers if you need them, ceiling fans in the rooms (a personal must for me), plenty of parking right by the door....I could go on and on. I found that the downstairs master bedroom suited me the best. I liked going to my car from the lower deck, I liked the swing on the lower deck the best, I could hear the creek better, etc. My dreamy stay started and ended at the cute little driveway gate. I will return again and again. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience.

Awesome Cozy, Peaceful & Clean Cabin!

We went to Murphy for our annual Girls Weekend. The cabin is an easy drive into town, yet secluded and peaceful. There was everything we needed! The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for us all. We loved sitting on the deck around the fire pit and listening to the creek below. We would definitely return! THANK YOU!

Perfect Get-Away

We loved this property. It was clean, cozy and inviting. The host was exceptionally responsive....the one and only time that we needed to contact him about turning the tv on to watch the Penn State game, LOL!

Always relaxing.

This cabin is perfectly set up to house 3 couples, or a family. Each bedroom has a full bathroom. Two kings and one queen. The furniture is well maintained and comfortable. The kitchen has excellent finishes and is well stocked for the everyday items. The decor is definately cabin but not cheesy. Close by Murphy NC has lots to do and Blue Ridge GA is only 30 minutes away. We met my siblings and their spouses here for the weekend for the second time this year. We love this place. The rental is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this cabin.
