This studio is located in a quiet premiere historic neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shopping close by. Our street is on a bike path that runs straight to the University of Arizona, half a mile away. There is a 24 acre park (Himmel) a half block away, with a swimming pool (open Memorial day to Labor Day), a library, lighted tennis courts, 6 pickle ball courts, an amphitheater, and 2 beautiful playgrounds for young children.
*This studio is great for a single person or 2 people. It is located on the ground floor. Walk out the back door into a quiet, beautifully desert landscaped backyard. It has a queen bed, a small kitchenette that is fully stocked and bath with shower. Approximately 325 sq ft. This is an attached separate unit which shares a common locked door with a kitchen to the main house and sometimes you might share the huge backyard which has a grill, shade and fire pit.
**note: ONLY during Tucson’s Gem and Mineral Show (Jan. 22-Feb 16) we ask for a minimum 4/5 night stay. *Ask for monthly or extended stay discounts. There is no smoking on the property.

On the Bicycle Boulevard

I stayed here with my son before helping to move him out of the U of A dorm. Great neighborhood! The Bicycle Boulevard is significant because the road is quiet, but is still a straight walk to U of A with lightening fast crosswalk signals. Close to Himmel Park, and Speedway - so easy walking to green space, lots of food choices, and #4 bus (if you’d rather take a bus to campus.) Public transportation is free, BTW. I took the #11 from the airport and then walked 20 minutes from Alvernon and 3rd. But you could also take the #4 west on Speedway and just have a 5 minute walk. The studio we booked had renovations moved up, so instead we were in the adjoining house. The shared courtyard was beautiful and restful - I spent one morning there. Coffee was provided, the air conditioning was great. No issues. Speaking more on location since this review will be with the studio and we actually stayed at the house. Definitely would stay again.

Rental experience

I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The home is well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The owner was very helpful, gracious and made sure I was comfortable. It is a great location, with Himmel park and the U of A easily accessible on foot or via bicycle. I would highly recommend making this your place to stay while in Tucson.

This was just what I needed for my quick trip to Tucson. Quiet, spotless, and in a historic neighborhood close to U of A. Pat was a gracious and friendly host. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location and the best host ever!

This apartment had everything I needed for a very comfortable month-long stay. The host was extremely accommodating and offered excellent recommendations for everything from where to rent a bike to restaurants, hiking options, and other Tucson highlights. The location is fabulous, with easy access to top-rated local food, the University, and other amenities, including a lovely park and library and a great neighborhood for evening or morning walks.

Perfect Location for the University of Arizona

I really enjoyed my stay. The property had everything I needed, was very clean and was in close proximity to the university. Pat was wonderful to work with and responsive to any communication throughout the rental process. I will stay here again.

Perfect Location

The studio fit my needs perfectly. I wanted someplace close to things, quiet and safe. The host was attentive and welcoming. I will most definitely stay there again

Several days at this stay was peaceful and the backyard is relaxing. Also the home was temperate and bed room stayed cool.

The Sam Hughes neighborhood is historic with many local attractions within walking distance. I love living here! Himmel Park is a block away and is a wonderful place to walk or run in.
