RestAPI (Rest And Peace Included) is a fully equipped single-family beach front home that provides you with everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable. As you enter the home, you will feel the stress wash away. This ocean front home has outstanding views from the back patio; relax on the patio furniture or take a quick walk across the berm to the ocean.

Recently updated, this private home has three separate bedrooms and is the perfect getaway with uncrowded beaches, great fishing and a short walking distance to the piers, state park.

The property is equipped with high-speed internet, a full-sized kitchen with new appliances, washer and dryer, kitchenware, coffee/kcup, water cooler, linens, towels and grill. There is also an outdoor shower.

There are three very comfortable bedrooms; one of which contains bunk beds sleeping 5. The other two bedrooms sleep 2 each and there is a comfy fold out couch that will accommodate an additional person. This allows for comfortable sleeping up to 8.

Great Getaway!

We have been to this house twice now and it is always clean and comfortable! Love the covered porch! The owners are easily accessible and very accommodating!

Great Host and location

Our stay got derailed when a tropical storm blew in the day we were supposed to arrive. The host was wonderful on keeping us up to date on weather/ road conditions in the area and was very accommodating to make the best of our stay. This was our 3rd stay in Matagorda and my favorite location so far.

We love our first trip to Matagorda and the property was perfect for our group. We loved the covered deck facing the beach and wonderful views. The owner was prompt with responding to any questions that we had, and we will definitely be back.

Peaceful location

Great House

Perfect location to enjoy the beach at Matagorda. We drove our car with all our beach gear down to the beach (4x4 highly recommended) and then walked back and forth to the house during the day using the trail through the dunes. Shoes/sandals are needed for the trek through the dunes, as well as bug spray, but its a very easy walk. The house had everything we needed to cook meals and relax when not at the beach. I will book again when visiting Matagorda.

Christmas at the beach

We rented this house for Thanksgiving and loved it so much we rented it again for Christmas. Our current home is being renovated and we needed a special place for the holidays- this place was a huge hit! The views are amazing and the home is cozy and spacious with a large deck and well maintained yard.

Songs from the shore!

This property is front and center to the beautiful sites and sounds of the Gulf. Accommodations couldn’t have been more perfect. Woke up 1st morning to 6 bucks grazing in the yard! The beach is about a 3 minute drive down the road from the house and excited to have added more to my sea glass and shell collection! Evenings were nice and relaxing out on the patio!

Great beach vacation

My family & I stayed at the beautiful property in Matagorda TX. The house is steps away from the beach & is certainly one of the nicer homes in the area. Completely renovated top to bottom & had everything we needed for our vacation. we stayed 4 days & wished we would have stayed longer we spent most of our time on the beautiful deck Only draw back was the drive on beach, didn't feel too safe with little kids around. We stayed on a holiday weekend so the traffic was more so than normal, Still this did not impact our vacation at all Can't wait to stay again!

Such a Cute House!

My family and I had an amazing time here. Unlike other places we have stayed if you happen to forget something they most likely have it for you. If you are going to walk to the beach be sure and use the path to the right when you come out. It is much better then tracking through the brush. 🤦🏼‍♀️ We will definitely be back!

This is our second time staying here at this property. The back patio has a beautiful view and the house is well stocked with everything you could need. The fresh water cooler is an addition that I wish more places would provide. We will be returning a 3rd time we love it so much.

Lovely beach home

This property was better than the pictures showed online. Clean, bright and inviting. Fully stocked, nice size kitchen, comfortable living room, open floorplan, perfect for family time. The deck was wonderful, nice breeze the entire time, you can watch the water, but cooled off and away from the crowds. Kids loved walking over the dunes to the beach anytime they wanted. Thank you for sharing your property with us, we had a fantastic time.

Very pleased

Great view of the ocean from the back balcony! Suprisingly at times we even saw deer around the back of the property both morning and evening. The house was smaller than we expected but suited our family of 7 fine. The house had all the stuff you will need. There were plenty of towels for both the shower and the beach if needed. The hosts were great and responsive! The only real downside to our trip was that there just isn’t much to do or restaurants in the area.

Awesome view and totally beach vibe

Thanksgiving 2021- Really enjoyed this beach house. Spent four nights and got to experience typical coastal fall weather - great views. The grandkids were able to enjoy the well mowed lawn to play football- kick ball-and volleyball. The kitchen is awesome- cooked entire Thanksgiving meal . Washer and dryer came in handy since we were there 4 nights. And one other plus was bottled water cooler- used it for cooking- drinking- coffee- and the kids loved the it for hot chocolate!

Efficient home in a great location

This home is very well cared for and very well stocked. It was very clean and exceptionally functional. The bottled water is so nice to have as well. The only drawbacks were 1) very bad mosquitos near the driveway and 2) the path to the beach is virtually impossible to use. It's dense and our group only attempted to use it one time, during which we were attacked by mosquitos and encountered a rattlesnake before turning back on a run! So, although this property has a fantastic view of the beach, you really need to plan on driving to the beach, which is not a big deal just not what we expected. Overall this place is great if you come prepared for the wildlife.

Perfect house, perfect location!

This has to be the best house on the street! Super clean, well maintained, and has a perfect, unobstructed view of the beach from the porch. The huge covered porch was a blessing since it rained for part of our stay- plenty of room for friends and family to hang out. Hosts responded to messages promptly and were a blessing throughout our stay!

Hidden Gem

When it’s 110 at home, all I wanted was cool a/c. We got so much more! Fantastic views and the ocean breeze really made a huge difference—like 81* - amazing. The shaded deck was incredible. The home was impeccable. Very thoughtful amenities. Will return.

Family vacation

We have been staying on beach dr for almost a decade and this has been our favorite house so far!! The owners were so communicative and helpful, and their home is beautiful!! We had everything we needed, down to extra bug spray, band aids and the water cooler was a huge plus!! We can’t wait to come back next year!!!

Perfect for a family gathering!

The house was so beautifully decorated and felt like a cozy beach getaway. The beach view was panoramic from the deck and even inside with all the windows facing the beach! We visited for my parents' 30 year wedding anniversary and it was our second time in town. The home was fully stocked and had even more than we expected to include a waffle maker and even some toiletries like lotion if you forget anything. There were plenty of towels and board games like Othello, poker chips & cards, puzzles, Sequence, and more for family fun. The pull-out couch bed was easy to use and great for our kids to sleep on. The walk to the beach was convenient. (be sure to take the path to the right of the bird house in the back yard and spray for mosquitos before walking in the dunes) The shallow beach was perfect for our young kids and the waves were great for boogie boarding! We walked to the beach and back 5 times during our 3 night stay. The outdoor shower was a great feature for getting sand off after the beach. We used the grill provided and ate dinner on the outdoor deck one of our evenings. There were no mosquitos on the deck maybe because of the ocean breeze blowing in that direction. The host was very kind and accommodating for our family. We are so grateful we found this home for our weekend stay! It is a trip we will never forget and we hope we can return someday. For Matagorda merchandise, be sure to check out Matagorda Outfitter's & Lena's Landing in town! Dollar General is conveniently only 10 minutes away from the home. The visitor's center with mini golf & a gift shop is at the end of the road as well. We were able to go to mass on Sunday at 7:30 am at a small Catholic Church called Sacred Heart only 20 minutes away in Wadsworth, TX. Everyone in town was very friendly! Matagorda is one of Texas' best kept secrets. :D

Being on the beach was a priority and RESTAPI has become our home away from home. We have five kids, so we needed it to accommodate our crowd.

Being right on the beach where you can watch the surf, see deer, watch flocks of pelicans and watch shrimpers go by has been wonderful. The sound of the waves helps wash the stress away and is totally peaceful. Also, the sleeping accommodations has allowed us to handle our large family.
