3rd time staying at the Tag House. If you are going to Matagorda, this is a place to stay! Perfect location. The house is amazing. Do not hesitate book this house!

We have a great vacation! The house is beautiful and has everything you need! Unfortunately my youngest got sick however the house was so cozy and warm that we didn’t mind it.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay. The weather wasn't the best, but my husband still managed to snag a humongous drum. He released him, so he is still out there!

Wonderful place on the Colorado

Lovely property with well thought-out decor (beachy modern farmhouse). Extremely comfortable beds and great shower. Well-stocked kitchen and nice living area with puzzles and games for the kids. We enjoyed our time very much!

Nice property and location

This was a nice house in a great location, easy driving distance to an amazing beach. The owner was very nice and the house was clean and kitchen had everything we needed. If we plan to visit the area again we would consider renting this house again if it was available.

Weekend stay in January

Arrived late on Friday and stayed till Sunday. Loved the accommodation and fishing f o the river just off the back of the house. The home was Very well equipped and very comfortable.

Tag House Review

I have rented multiple VRBO homes in Matagorda and the Tag House is by far the best I have stayed in to this date. Beautiful home in a great location made our vacation very enjoyable. Jen was very accommodating and was quick to reply to any questions about the property.

Family fishing trip

We had the best time staying at the Tag house! The house is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect and there is plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable and relax after a day of fishing or playing at the beach. We will definitely be back!

The home was beautiful and fishing was good. At our last few vacation rentals, we realized the pictures were not accurate when we arrived on the property. This home was accurately described and pictured. The only down side was that the house is so decorated there wasn’t much room for us to store our things. I didn’t care for the strong air freshener either. Some of my family members have asthma and we can’t handle artificial fragrances. All in all we had a great stay, our first time on that part of the river and it was our best trip in a while.

Just a great place. The Tag House had everything we want/needed. Cozy decor, clean and great river access. We enjoyed our annual fishing trip to Matagorda at the Tag House. Will return.

Perfect for our lil family. Fully stocked kitchen. Lots of towel choices. We cleaned up as we went and left just the laundry for them🤓 Would rent again. It is important to know that all bedrooms are upstairs.

Great Spring Break!

The Tag House was the perfect place to spend Spring Break at the coast! The location on the Colorado River was so convenient for fishing, getting to the beach and enjoying the sights. We went out with a guide, Mike Rolf, and caught lots of big redfish. The house was well-stocked, very clean and quite comfortable. We loved the gas fireplace and the cozy decor. Jennifer was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. We really enjoyed this house and its location. We would recommend it and definitely come back!

Excellent getaway spot in Matagorda

This is a lovely well appointed waterfront home that was perfect for my family of 6. We loved grilling out each evening and the well appointed kitchen had all the cookware, dishes and utensils we needed. There's plenty of outdoor space on the waterfront and the covered parking area under the house doubles as a breezy shaded patio. The night fishing under the lights on the private pier was excellent. Two levels of waterview decks afford serene views of sunsets and rainbows. Matagorda Beach is just a short drive down the road. The owners are wonderful and attentive and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. We'd love to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Thanksgiving

The week was great house was great. Having to take off your own trash is not a good thing. Make sure you let people know ahead of time. If coming from out of town very inconvenient

Has everything you need for cooking. The beds were very comfortable. We washed one load of clothes the washer dryer worked well. We enjoyed fishing off the pier and we caught catfish mostly. I think it was bait we were using as we wanted to catch sand trout. The master bathroom shower is awesome! Only one suggestion, put a slip resistant mat in the bathtub of the other full bathroom as it was very slippery. There may have been one but we didnt see it. We had a great time. Very short drive to the beach. If you are older just be aware of the fact that there are stairs. One more suggestion, install a slim handrail in the staircase going to the upstair bedrooms. Overall a great place!

Homey Hideaway in Matagorda Bay

This place is so cute! The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the space was well-stocked. The kids loved the bunks, which made it even more fun for them. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, overlooking the Texas Colorado River as it meets Matagorda Bay. It added a wonderfully serene touch. The location was perfect, with quick and easy access to town. The host was very responsive and even offered an early check-in, which was such a nice touch.

Acerca del anfitrión

Anfitrión: Jennifer Tagliabue

We started coming to Matagorda in 2013 and fell in love it. We're big into fishing so we just got hooked. We are currently full time residents in Waller and any opportunity found ourselves trying to go to Matagorda as often as possible, so.... it only made sense that we would eventually purchase here.

Dave was born and raised in Victoria and is a proud 1994 Aggie graduate. Received his engineering degree and continued to get Masters in Welding Engineering at Ohio State. We currently raise Brangus cows here in Waller and Victoria.

We are also GRANDparents to the most amazing 3 yr. old boy, Matson. Though he currently has moved to Colorado, Nonnie rescues him from the snow in exchange for the sand.
