3rd time staying at the Tag House. If you are going to Matagorda, this is a place to stay! Perfect location. The house is amazing. Do not hesitate book this house!

We have a great vacation! The house is beautiful and has everything you need! Unfortunately my youngest got sick however the house was so cozy and warm that we didn’t mind it.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay. The weather wasn't the best, but my husband still managed to snag a humongous drum. He released him, so he is still out there!

Wonderful Get-Away

We had the best time staying at the Tag House. The location is perfect, whether you're heading to the beach for the day, or just need to run to town for a few quick things. My husband and son loved being able to fish off the dock in the evenings. Jen is also super responsive. We'll definitely be coming back.

Great getaway for a family and/or fishermen

Incredible property with a great view of the river! The parking was great, right behind snappers bar and grill. Close to the beach and really close to the boat ramp at Wayne’s bait camp. Family all had a great time from the beach goers that were with us and the fishermen as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE AND WILL AGAIN!

Perfect for our lil family. Fully stocked kitchen. Lots of towel choices. We cleaned up as we went and left just the laundry for them🤓 Would rent again. It is important to know that all bedrooms are upstairs.

Weekend stay in January

Arrived late on Friday and stayed till Sunday. Loved the accommodation and fishing f o the river just off the back of the house. The home was Very well equipped and very comfortable.

Just like home

We really enjoyed our week long stay at The Tag house. The house was very comfortable, good cozy sofas and beds which is needed after long days on the beach. We also enjoyed being on the river so we could fish each night and enjoy wildlife viewing. We really enjoyed our time!

Family fun

Our 2nd time staying at the Tag House and we enjoyed every minute of it! We slayed the red fish this trip and caught a 30 pound 35” black drum! We are looking forward to our next trip back!

Last trip of the summer

We were looking for a quick getaway - last trip for the summer - to take my stepdaughter and her friend for their 16th birthdays and our father-in-law to get him out of the house. We waited pretty late book and only had a few houses to choose from. Had we had more houses to choose from I’m not sure I would’ve picked this one. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s absolutely beautiful on the inside. It’s a perfect location right across from snappers. You could walk the foot bridge over there to get food if need be, it’s close to the bait shop at river bend, not too far to Stanley’s and not too far to the beach. the house has absolutely everything you could possibly need in the kitchen - cooking utensils and pots and pans etc. super comfy beds and couches. Great tv streaming options, good dock space for fishing and a green light Will definitely stay again!!

Great Place to Relax/Fish

The property was very clean and had a nice touch with farmhouse style finishings. Was well stocked with items in case you forget or needed anything. Also, the fishing area and green light provided that extra activity to catch some fish.

Just a great place. The Tag House had everything we want/needed. Cozy decor, clean and great river access. We enjoyed our annual fishing trip to Matagorda at the Tag House. Will return.

Great home on the water

We absolutely had a great time at the Tag house. The house was clean and had everything you need in the stocked kitchen. We would definitely rent again. The family had a great time fishing all day. Such a great location.

Fishing Tournament

We had a great experience at staying at The Tag House while visiting Matagorda while participating in a benefit fishing tournament (JCS-Wounded Warrior)!!! The home is beautifully decorated, beds extremely comfortable, and plenty of room for the six of us. We also enjoyed fishing off the pier under the green light at night. The hospitality of the owner, Jennifer, was exceptional. We will be back!!

Coastal fun

Very nice property, the kitchen was well equipped. We had a great time fishing and hanging out on the dock. The beach was minutes away and nice to visit daily. If you like birding this is a great place to visit.

Great fishing, excellent rental!

I have had several rentals in matagorda over the years, and this was by far the cleanest. The master bedroom bed was incredibly comfortable. I wish I knew the brand of that mattress topper! Every attention to detail throughout the home was beautiful. Most importantly the smell of clean from the hand towels to the bedding. Pictures don’t do Justice. Very well maintained. Don’t waste your money with full stringer. The owners were very easy to communicate with, very friendly. The fishing right off the property was great! We caught so many! Only thing that I didn’t care for was the Snappers grill karaoke, but it didn’t bother anyone else. Over all great trip. Made some great memories with the family. Thank you Jen for the wonderful experience at your beautiful home.

Acerca del anfitrión

Anfitrión: Jennifer Tagliabue

We started coming to Matagorda in 2013 and fell in love it. We're big into fishing so we just got hooked. We are currently full time residents in Waller and any opportunity found ourselves trying to go to Matagorda as often as possible, so.... it only made sense that we would eventually purchase here.

Dave was born and raised in Victoria and is a proud 1994 Aggie graduate. Received his engineering degree and continued to get Masters in Welding Engineering at Ohio State. We currently raise Brangus cows here in Waller and Victoria.

We are also GRANDparents to the most amazing 3 yr. old boy, Matson. Though he currently has moved to Colorado, Nonnie rescues him from the snow in exchange for the sand.
