From the moment you arrive, you know you've found your small bit of paradise. Beautifully decorated, and rustic, with all the amenities, Riverside Retreat is one of Sliding Rock Cabins' perfect family getaways. The cabin offers a large tree-lined deck overlooking the ELLIJAY RIVER with a sunken hot tub. Enjoy your time away from reality have a drink by the water, grill out in the evening, fly fish in the river or just have a snooze by the roaring riverside fire-pit. You will truly never want to leave this cabin. Riverside Retreat is a 3 bedroom 2 bath, log home, with WIFI, Screened porch, firepit. Fenced Area, Dog Friendly with no pet fees. no cats please.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. No refunds, rebates, or compensation will be offered. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST PURCHASING VACATION RENTAL INSURANCE with your travel insurance of choice. A good place to relax.

Reviewer Comments: There should be less furniture in the living room, also the dining table is too big and the space is small, the dining table should be changed. I think that would help with the space in the room. In general, everything else is ok.

Awesome !

Went there for a 4 day weekend trip and it was amazing! The view was breathtaking! We relaxed, grilled, went hiking and ended our day floating down the river! Highly recommend booking this cabin!!!

2024 LABOR DAY WEEKEND IN THE MOUNTAINS

Our grandson caught his first fish and the dogs loved walking onthe deck and going down to the dog park.We drove into Ellijay on Friday and Blue Ridge on Sunday. We rode the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. On our way back in on Sunday, the deer were so beautiful to see. We hope to return at some point!

May 2018 Stay

The house was very nice and clean, love the fact it was dog friendly and had fenced area for them. Would have like having a broom available due to pollen and falling blooms on the deck area.

Fall Family Getaway

The upstairs bed was VERY comfortable (I normally have to use a sleeping aid when sleeping away from home but not in this bed!), and the location allowed us to do tons of things without spending hours in the ca .

Perfect Cabin!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had such a great time, The cabin was as described, clean, comfortable and we loved the location. We fished, played in the river, rafted down the river, used the hot tub. I cooked some meals and enjoyed our stay very much. We needed to reach out to the rental company a couple of times and they were quickly responsive. They are my favorite rental company. We spent some time on Lake Blue Ridge, the kids enjoyed eating at Papa's Pizza Buffet, and Okinawa was very good. I highly recommend staying in this cabin with Sliding Rock Cabins.

We couldn't get out to do too much the first couple of days due to rain, but we still had a lovely vacation. Everything described on the website was accurate, and we were very pleased. Will will be booking again for next year!
