3 bedroom 3 bath cottage near Montreat campus & 5 minutes to Black Mountain

Our home sleeps 6 adults and 2 youth/kids due to the bunk beds.
All new rental requests will be reviewed to ensure we can provide time for cleaning & a safe environment for your stay. Please send an Inquiry.
During the summer we will do our best to accommodate any rentals that align with the Montreat Clubs & summer events.
Bookings are Saturday to Saturday from June to August.
We offer a discount on weekly rentals.
No youth groups allowed for this property. Please review our House Rules before booking. Please contact us if you have any questions.

The house:
Newly renovated home with a large open living space, updated kitchen and bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. The house offers one level living with only a few steps to access the porch from the parking area. The kitchen is outfitted with all the modern amenities needed for an extended stay. New HVAC & laundry. Hardwood floors throughout. Large front porch with ceiling fans & a side patio for outside dining.

Features:
The big dining table seats 8 and the island has seating for 4. Large living room with flat screen TV & sectional. The master bedroom has a king bed & a private bathroom. The bunk room & bath can accommodate 4 youth with ample storage. The guest bedroom and bath can easily accommodate 2 people. There is a pack-n-play, baby gate & booster seat provided.

Extras:
Parking for 2 vehicles and a ground level entry.
Linens provided.
There's a path to the creek adjacent to the property
We have a security camera monitoring the front driveway & walk.

Location:
Conveniently located within walking distance to the Montreat campus and a 5 minute drive to Black Mountain and 20 minutes to Asheville.

We couldn't of asked for a better house. It was very comfortable and very clean. I would walk in the morning after the youth went to Montreat. It was located in a beautiful area.

We love staying at April and Brian’s place! We have now stayed here twice and it is always immaculate and comfortable. It’s a great location in Montreat and we’ve loved our family time there!

We had an excellent stay at this Montreat cabin! We loved sitting on the front porch listening to the stream, the big couches in the family room, and the large and well stocked kitchen. The kids room with the bunk beds was cozy and a hit with our crew. the kitchen truly was so easy to be in-- everything was organized, clean, and easy to find. The location is perfect-- close to Robert Lake Wood park, Lake Susan, and tucked away in the peaceful woods. The hosts gave really clear instructions and were communicative. We were very grateful to stay here and would highly recommend it to others!

Perfect location. Private but close to everything. House is a great size. Comfortably slept our family of 5 (we have 2 young adults 1 teen). Clean, updated. Love the porch and fans for some reading downtime. Excellent and quick communication from owners regarding any additional needs or questions. Love this property!

Great mountain retreat

We had a great stay here. The cabin itself is super clean and easily accessible (can’t say the same about all the rentals in Montreat). The location is great. You can walk to great hiking trails and it’s just a 5 minute drive to great restaurants in Black Mountain. Absolutely would recommend this cabin.

Another great stay In the Red

We stayed here three years ago and were happy to be back for another week. The property was just as well-appointed as remembered, with hiking and great walks just out the door. Great communication with owners as well.

Our home away from home!

We love staying at “ In the Red”. This was our 2 nd visit and cant wait to return again soon. It is so comfortable and has everything you need. the location is great for hiking, Chimney Rock, Asheville adventures as well as the darling town of Black Mountain.

We enjoyed this lovely comfy cottage that was walkable to a lot in Montreat and a super short drive to Black Mountain! The autumn color and blue sky days were beautiful! The owners are very responsive to any questions!

Great Location, Beautiful House

This was a lovely house. The area of Montreat is amazing. We walked to the park and the kids had a blast. We especially loved falling asleep listening to the babbling creek just behind the house.

A lovely home!

We had a lovely stay in Montreat! The home was charming with all the amenities we could need. The kitchen was fully stocked with ample dishes and cooking utensils. The hosts were accommodating and when we decided to stay an additional day April was very helpful! All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

Amazing house in the mountains

Our family had an amazing week in the mountains. This house is fantastic. From the sounds of creek out back, to the great kitchen, to the wonderful front porch....everything was just great. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Stay in Montreat

This house was perfect for our family during Thanksgiving.. The owners did a great job with renovations - updated kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms as well as hardwood floors. The living room had plenty of sofa space for us. We also enjoyed exploring the creek behind the house. We hope to return again in the future.

Perfect spot!

This home was so wonderful! The creek just behind the house was a hit for our kids. They also loved the bunk beds. We had everything we needed in just the right amount of space. Montreat is so special to me, and it was so great to share it with my kids. We got snow and got to see bears!

Montreat Worship and Music Conference

We had a wonderful time.The house was so nice. We were very busy, so we weren't there much during the day, but enjoyed our evenings. The kids played outside a lot. We saw lots of wildlife. Deer, rabbits and Mama bear and her two cubs.

We had an amazing stay-just not long enough! The house is great. April was very attentive to my inquiries throughout. She supplied the history on the house, which we loved since we are so familiar with the area. Will definitely plan another stay!
