3 bedroom 3 bath cottage near Montreat campus & 5 minutes to Black Mountain

Our home sleeps 6 adults and 2 youth/kids due to the bunk beds.
All new rental requests will be reviewed to ensure we can provide time for cleaning & a safe environment for your stay. Please send an Inquiry.
During the summer we will do our best to accommodate any rentals that align with the Montreat Clubs & summer events.
Bookings are Saturday to Saturday from June to August.
We offer a discount on weekly rentals.

The house:
Newly renovated home with a large open living space, updated kitchen and bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. The house offers one level living with only a few steps to access the porch from the parking area. The kitchen is outfitted with all the modern amenities needed for an extended stay. New HVAC & laundry. Hardwood floors throughout. Large front porch with ceiling fans & a side patio for outside dining.

Features:
The big dining table seats 8 and the island has seating for 4. Large living room with flat screen TV & sectional. The master bedroom has a king bed & a private bathroom. The bunk room & bath can accommodate 4 youth with ample storage. The guest bedroom and bath can easily accommodate 2 people. There is a pack-n-play, baby gate & booster seat provided.

Extras:
Parking for 2 vehicles and a ground level entry.
Linens provided.
There's a path to the creek adjacent to the property
We have a security camera monitoring the front driveway & walk.

Location:
Conveniently located within walking distance to the Montreat campus and a 5 minute drive to Black Mountain and 20 minutes to Asheville.

We love staying at April and Brian’s place! We have now stayed here twice and it is always immaculate and comfortable. It’s a great location in Montreat and we’ve loved our family time there!

Montreat Worship and Music Conference

We had a wonderful time.The house was so nice. We were very busy, so we weren't there much during the day, but enjoyed our evenings. The kids played outside a lot. We saw lots of wildlife. Deer, rabbits and Mama bear and her two cubs.

Wonderful Home!

We had a great time in this Montreat cottage. It’s very clean and well stocked. The sound of the creek nearby is a nice and relaxing touch :)

Another great stay In the Red

We stayed here three years ago and were happy to be back for another week. The property was just as well-appointed as remembered, with hiking and great walks just out the door. Great communication with owners as well.

Great mountain retreat

We had a great stay here. The cabin itself is super clean and easily accessible (can’t say the same about all the rentals in Montreat). The location is great. You can walk to great hiking trails and it’s just a 5 minute drive to great restaurants in Black Mountain. Absolutely would recommend this cabin.

Our home away from home!

We love staying at “ In the Red”. This was our 2 nd visit and cant wait to return again soon. It is so comfortable and has everything you need. the location is great for hiking, Chimney Rock, Asheville adventures as well as the darling town of Black Mountain.

Great Location, Beautiful House

This was a lovely house. The area of Montreat is amazing. We walked to the park and the kids had a blast. We especially loved falling asleep listening to the babbling creek just behind the house.

A lovely home!

We had a lovely stay in Montreat! The home was charming with all the amenities we could need. The kitchen was fully stocked with ample dishes and cooking utensils. The hosts were accommodating and when we decided to stay an additional day April was very helpful! All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

Amazing house in the mountains

Our family had an amazing week in the mountains. This house is fantastic. From the sounds of creek out back, to the great kitchen, to the wonderful front porch....everything was just great. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Stay in Montreat

This house was perfect for our family during Thanksgiving.. The owners did a great job with renovations - updated kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms as well as hardwood floors. The living room had plenty of sofa space for us. We also enjoyed exploring the creek behind the house. We hope to return again in the future.

We had an amazing stay-just not long enough! The house is great. April was very attentive to my inquiries throughout. She supplied the history on the house, which we loved since we are so familiar with the area. Will definitely plan another stay!

Clean and Comfortable Home

Extremely clean and comfortable. Large, well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of couch space for relaxing and reading. Everything you need for your vacation without all of the extra clutter that sometimes comes with vacation homes. We also loved falling asleep to the sound of the creek behind the primary bedroom.

Amazing Stay in Montreat

Location was perfect! We walked everywhere, even in 35/40 degrees. Big open living space. Loved that each room has a bathroom. (One is a hall bathroom) House was clean, kitchen was fully stocked. Owners were super helpful when cable went out. Hope to rent again in summer or fall.

Perfect & Relaxing

The hosts are very nice and quick to respond to any questions. The house was very clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The den can accommodate a large family… without feeling crowded. The dining table is equally impressive to accommodate a large family. Five stars … exceeded expectations. Ty for sharing your home. We hope to return.

Wonderful Thanksgiving!

The property is comfortable, attractive, and Is in a great location. The owners have done a really nice job of updating the home with an open gathering area, large and functional kitchen, and plenty of comfortable beds for families with children. While not a large home in terms of square footage, they have done a remarkable job of maximizing their space. Having only a few steps down from the driveway to the house was wonderful for older folks like us as well and we also enjoyed the grill a couple of times . This home is highly recommended and we would gladly come back.

Lovely rental

This house is adorable. So roomy! The kitchen is so clean and organized. Beds were super comfortable! Nice that each room has a bathroom! Owners super easy to communicate with and helpful. The town was so cute!! Highly Recommend

Wonderful home

Absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean home. Montreat was a delight, even though we were in town for a memorial service. My kids loved the creek on the property and the playground just down the street. Check in was flawless, even though we arrived in the middle of the night. Super close to everything Black Mountain offers. I would absolutely stay here again.
