Enjoy the comfort of our oceanfront one-bedroom, one bath condominium. Imagine being 75 steps away from the Pacific Ocean on the east shore of Kauai in the historical town of Kapa'a. From your private lanai with incredible views of the ocean, you can watch the sunrises and listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean.
Our condo is a corner unit on the 2nd floor that has been completely remodeled. The condo has a sliding glass door leading to our oceanfront lanai. There also is a window in the eating area which allows for great cross ventilation. Custom-made cherry cabinets and granite counter tops have been installed in our fully equipped kitchen & bathroom. Porcelain tiles grace the entry, bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has a large tiled walk-in shower with a corner seat.
The condo comes with all the amenities listed above. Added amenities include a Fijitsu A/C mini-split system in the living area & bedroom, FREE SECURE WiFi internet connection, a 40" smart HD TV in the living room & a 32" smart HD TV in the bedroom (both with on-demand), beach toys, chairs, coolers, umbrellas, boogie boards, and tennis rackets for your use during your staying at our condominium.
The Pono Kai Resort is a non-smoking property. The resort provides a front desk that is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is onsite free parking. Each building has a coin-operated laundry facility and an elevator. The grounds are beautifully maintained with extensive grass areas, an herb garden so you can pick fresh herbs for your meals and a Koi pond. For your convenience, there is an activities desk so you can arrange for your island adventures. A workout room has also been added. There is a 7-mile multi-use coastal path just steps in front of our condo. There is a pool/spa area and 1 tennis court, 1 pickleball court, ping pong table and many other on-property activities.
Maximum of 3 people. Children 7 and older are welcome. 3 night minimum

Linda & Myron were wonderful guests. A fan wall switch went out so they turned off the circuit breaker to the switch and contacted us right away. They follwed the departure process. and left the condo in good order. We highly recommend them to other hosts.

What a wonderful place to stay! Affordable and updated, we loved the view! Near to town, we walked for local food and shopping . The hosts communication was excellent and the grounds were very well maintained.

This property was amazing! The view was a 10/10! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need! The hosts communicated very well leaving you not wondering about anything. Sad my time had to end here! If I should come back to Kaui I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying at Pono Kai Resort! The condo was clean and had everything we needed for our 8 night stay! Shirley and Tony are great hosts! It was our first time in Kauai and it was so helpful that Shirley gave us restaurant/activity ideas, plus a ton of island information. We highly recommend booking with these hosts! Also, thank you for the box of chocolates!

Everything about the condo exceeded expectations! Shirley and her on-island associate, Cristine, were most accomodating and made every aspect of my holiday top shelf! My favorite part is that the lanai faces due east and it was the most perfect way to start the day with a cup of coffee and the sunrise. The only problem with this holiday and my stay is that it wasn't long enough!!! In all my 64 years, Kauai has been my favorite holiday and I'll definitely be returning (and to the same accomodations) next year! aloha

Pleasant surroundings
We had an excellent stay in a very pleasant condo. The owners kept in touch with us and were very interested in making our stay delightful. The condo was beautiful and well stocked. Overall great place to stay v

Wonderful!
The condo was absolutely perfect and blew us away. The space was simply gorgeous and only topped by the incredible location with access to whatever part of the island you choose to explore. Hope to stay again sometime soon!

Charming condo
This condo is absolutely lovely from the Hawaiian decoration to the view. The hosts haven’t forgotten a thing and is completely outfitted with everything you’ll need for a comfortable and fun vacation.

Fantastic property
My husband and I traveled to Kauai to celebrate his birthday and our wedding anniversary. Shirley's condo was perfect! From the location on the island, the oceanfront view to the condo itself! We so enjoyed our stay and hope to return for another visit!

Amazing! Beautiful condo. Everything was so well appointed and top quality.

Comfortable stay, beautiful view!
We felt very welcome from the minute we arrived. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals, there were beach chairs and plenty of towels, and it was very clean. As soon as we booked and throughout our stay, we had excellent communications with Shirley. The view was amazing! We would definitely recommend this place!

This place was gorgeous and was more than we expected! The process was extremely easy and if I had any questions I needed answered Shirley was available no matter what! By the way Best morning views to have coffee on the balcony!

The first time we came to Kauai was in 1971. We toured 4 of the islands and fell in love with the 'Garden Isle'.
We had friends who owned a condo at the Pono Kai Resort. We started renting their unit and spending many of our family vacations on Kauai.
We always hoped one day to buy a little piece of paradise. In 2001, our wish came true.

The Pono Kai is centrally located on the east side of the island. This location is great for people who want to explore the island. The resort is conveniently located in the historical town of Kapaa. The condo is in walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The beach and a 5 mile multi-use coastal path is right out front of our condo.
