Newly Updated Property! Relax in this gorgeous home while enjoying incredible ocean views of San Diego and surrounding areas, including Mexico’s Coronado Islands. Our fully-equipped two-story home is suitable for one or more families, with multiple dining, entertaining, and gaming areas, with room to comfortably sleep 12.

Amenities include two kitchens, two laundry stations, two outdoor entertaining areas, each with their own BBQ, beautiful lawn for Bocce ball, and a romantic swing with panoramic views to enjoy the end of the day. Later, enjoy a family game of billiards while listening to our classic vinyl collection. All of this makes coordinating for a large group easy, with plenty of parking. The downstairs floor is perfect for kids or young adults with its' multiple smart TVs, fireplace, game tables, piano, desk, and bunk beds. Upstairs is it's own retreat with amazing patio views, comfy fireplace, smart TVs, and voice activated music. The house is equipped with wi-fi and charging stations throughout. We've also provided beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, and an umbrella for your adventures. We've outfitted the home to be what we would want when travelling with our large family and hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

Loved this house

We absolutely loved this house! It was the perfect size for our family vacation. Everyone had their own bathroom, the kids were excited to go to bed because they loved the bunk beds. All of the beds were comfortable. The patio’s were comfy, had nice patio furniture and had beautiful views!

Wonderful Location!

The house is nestled in the hills overlooking San Diego and the views are amazing. The house was very well prepared and the owner was readily available and helpful. There were a lot of things to do for everyone including watching movies, billiards, foosball, darts, BBQing, etc. Two full kitchens and plenty of bathrooms were a plus! I would highly recommend this property and would choose it again!

This property was more than I expected . The views from the back deck are incredible. The whole house was peaceful and calming The hosts are exceptional I can't say enough.

Amazing Stay

We were in from Ohio for vacation and our nephews wedding. Our stay was for 8 days 9 nights. The house was very clean with breathtaking views from almost every side of the house. It was well supplied with all the kitchen items you may need. Different levels each with everything you would need to enjoy everyone's company or even sneak away for some alone time to take a breather from everyone and all the activities they provide for family fun. Amazing home and very accommodating and hospitable hosts. We will be visiting California again and intend on contacting Mandy and James to book our stay here.

Perfect Location!

What a fantastic stay! The property is perfectly located to visit everything you want to see in the San Diego area. The house itself was spotlessly clean with two extremely well appointed kitchens. Plenty of room for a multigenerational family vacation. The views from the property were spectacular and the multiple outdoor patios and seating areas were a favorite. The owners were super responsive to all questions, one of the best VRBO stays we’ve had. Choose this lovely home, you will not regret it!!!

Lovely home with fantastic views!

Coming from the Midwest the idea of sitting on the deck- overlooking fantastic views with great weather was all we needed ! The home is beautiful - bedrooms and bathrooms provided privacy for our entire family . Easy driving to our daily excursions. As one of our grandkids said “this was the best vacation ever !”

MORE than 5 stars!

Here are my criteria for a perfect vacation getaway home: If I'm at the ocean, mountains or hills, I want a panoramic view. This home has an AMAZING, unobstructed southwestern view across the hills of La Mesa, San Diego, all the way to the ocean. On a clear day, we could see islands off the coast. Panoramic sunset views are SPECTACULAR. The house must be quiet. This home is on a small road in the hills, we never heard a sound from other houses (which are spread out) or road noise. Also, all the bedrooms are not close to the kitchen/ living area so you're not awakened by the first person up in the morning or the last person to bed. As described, the house has two complete levels with bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and kitchen. So if you're multiple families or multi-generations, you have as MUCH privacy as you want or as much together time. The house is clean, sunny and bright. Everything is in top-notch working order and the kitchen has PLENTY of cookware, utensils, etc. The hosts are VERY responsive and warm. My family and I will return in 2022. This was the PERFECT vacation house in terms of the home and location. Tucked away in the hills yet convenient to everything.

San diego at it's best

This property had the best view of San Diego from the deck area. The house was super clean and comfortable and the hosts were always there to ask questions. Our family reunion was extra special due to having this place to stay in. Would stay here again if ever get the chance.

Perfect Host/ Perfect home for us

Our stay for a week could not have been better! James and Amanda were beyond the best host owners! They made all the difference, between a good visit and an excellent one. Our party consisted of me, my daughter and day two my son came in. He had not been to California for 12 years, and some of his high school friends he hadn’t seen for 20 to 25 years.. while I had my 75th birthday earlier in the month, he was going to celebrate his 53rd while here. This home has beautiful views, and the set up is a plus for giving privacy to everyone.. He had the downstairs which has an outside entrance as well as from the inside. He could have his friends over and they could reminisce, catch up as well as plan and go on outings!! The deck, patio upper level provided for breath taking day and night views for miles! Lower level has a relaxing patio area with plenty of seating under a lighted (if desired) pergola! I could go on, but I’m convinced it would be very hard to find better hosts and home.. 😊

Amazing….just amazing

This was beyond what I had hoped for. Was looking at beach houses but there was just not enough room in them We had 4 couples and there was enough room for privacy and AWESOME gathering spaces The view is so much better than the pics. 20 minute drive to the beach. Beach chairs and boogie boards were provided. Too many extras to list. Mandy and James were so hospitable. Will definitely stay here again.

Best vacation home in San Diego! Hands down!

This place is absolutely 💯gorgeous. Perfect spot for vacation. James and Amanda are awesome making sure we have everything we need to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary from Georgia. They loved the nice views and hospitality, thank you both for everything you have an amazing home and would definitely come back again!

Exceeded all our expectations!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I would give 10 stars if I could. We stayed here for two weeks over holidays and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Given stay at home order we’ve spent 90% of our time without leaving the place. But the we did leave we would walk to mount Helix (which offer a gorgeous sunrise and sunset views over San Diego) or drive to Coronado beach (~20 minutes away) which had almost empty beach spaces with plenty of “social distant” spots. The house was very, very clean! We felt safe from the minute we entered the house. Hosts provided a sanitizing kit in case we would needed it. Amanda and James were one of the bests hosts we ever had. From the get go they reached out and ensured we had everything we needed. We only needed their help once with a gas refill for a fire pit on a patio. James dropped it off in a matter of few minutes in a safe, social distant manner. There were so many small touches that are not in description. Just a few to share: a great collection of vinyl records, Belgium style waffle maker, extra phone chargers on every room, a lemon tree full of fruits, and a great panoramic view of New Year fireworks around San Diego. We will definetly be back! Thank you, Amanda and James!

PERFECTION!

James and Amanda were so hospitable, we felt like we were welcome and special every step of the way. The property was so fresh and equipped with everything we needed, might need, and more! From the items set around the house for our entertainment, to the cozy throws and the iron and ironing board, and the beautiful views everywhere— I wish we could have stayed longer! We were there for 5 days with 3 couples and all had a great sense of privacy but also GREAT common spaces! Beautifully renovated home with lovely grounds in a pretty neighborhood which was close to shopping and activities. Perfection!!

Thanksgiving with family

We were in town (from Charlotte, NC) to spend Thanksgiving with our west coast kids. Also brought along my husband's parents and sisters, so had a group of 8. The house worked out beautifully. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean with very nice linens and plenty of towels and blankets. Having 2 kitchens was wonderful, especially for cooking our Thanksgiving meal and for having 2 refrigerators. Views from the house are really nice and even better from the park at the top of the hill that we were able to hike to from the house. We went in to San Diego for a part of almost everyday we were there and it was an easy distance from the house. I would highly recommend not only the home, but also the hosts who were great to work with.

Above the expectation!

This home couldn’t have been a better fit to host our family vacation for 1 week. The house was everything we needed, and more! We were welcomed with the best homemade salsa and guac, an extremely clean house, and the sweetest hosts - James and Amanda. The view of the city from 2 of the rooms and balcony is absolutely breathtaking. The hosts not only took care of the adults, but also ensured that our infant and 3 kids had everything they needed - a high chair, pack ‘n play, abundance of toys, a game station, and were ready to provide anything else upon request. Oh, and don’t even worry about bringing anything for the beach, this home is stocked! Coolers, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, towels - everything you need to enjoy a day (or week) at the beach (a huge relief since we were driving hundreds of miles to stay here). A decked out game room and lounge area was the perfect touch for our large group. James and Amanda truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible, and that we were well taken care of. Definitely a 5-star!

Beautiful place

The house is beautiful and was sparkling clean. The two full kitchens were fully equipped with everything that we needed. The downstairs also had a living room area and a beautiful view .Amanda and James were very sweet and were waiting for us when we got there. They thought of every little detail from phone charges to the beach towels and chairs. She even brought a nice speaker for the girls (teenagers) to listen to music. We really enjoyed ourselves very peaceful and beautiful view. Thank you So Much!! Amanda Long

The most amazing and beautiful home ever.

This home was our home away from home. The owners are so nice, inviting and very friendly. I was hesitant at first with booking a vacation home being that I’ve never stayed in one before, but with this experience it changed my mind completely, especially when your traveling with your entire family. We were able to stay together and enjoy the amazing amenities this place offered. When I first entered into this place you are greeted with the most spectacular view. It was breathtaking and beautiful. The French doors in the front open up the place to the front yard like it’s an extension of the living room with a beautiful sitting area right outside. The sliding doors in the back opens up to the big patio/ deck that allows you to see the view while your family enjoys breakfast or dinner.. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. The bedrooms are huge and the beds, (OMG) are amazing. Comfortable, warm and cozy it’s what I would sum it up to with the beds. The kids enjoy the pool table in the downstairs area with a gazebo right outside the back door. This place provided towels for the entire duration of our stay, also it provides shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Now every bathroom feels like your in a spa being pampered and it’s not an exaggeration. It made our trip one of the unforgettable vacations ever. Thank you Amanda and James for the hospitality. You guys are fantastic hosts.This I will never forget. If your looking into a nice and amazing vacation in the San Diego area this will be the place that makes you want to come back to San Diego. I work in the Airline Industry and I have been to so many places and see what the world offers and I am glad to say that San Diego was unforgettable because of our Vacation Home rental. The area can offer so many amazing sight seeing places but if return to your hotel or vacation home in this case and it’s uncomfortable , it ruins the whole vacation.
