Our family reunion get together

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time. It was a family reunion of sorts. The house was very nice. It did have some problems and we made a list of things that needed to be fixed before we left. We did have a lovely time, but it was hard to leave because the doors were very difficult to lock so every time we left the house it was very worrisome. The staff was supposed to bring a spare key because They only one had one house key. but they never showed up and when we got there, the first thing I noticed was there was a tear in the wallpaper on the wall by the kitchen. Other than the minor issues with maintenance for the house, we really enjoyed our stay.

Fun vacation for family group.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house for family vacations. We’ve stayed at Beachwalk severalyears and in this house 4 times. New stove, floors, sinks and counter tops were a great improvement to the house. New basement TV room and bathroom were great for gathering together. Cleaning crew re-did some work before we walked in as it didn’t meet the inspector’s approval. We appreciated that. Found the house very clean after that was completed. Third level with several beds smells musty and damp. We used fans to help Outside doors need updated locks for better security. Needed maintenance help with a faulty bathroom faucet. Response was quick and professional. We enjoyed amenities at Beachwalk and Lake Michigan beach. Also spent time at the local casino, winery, outlet mall and Bubbles ice cream. We enjoyed our stay at The Lady May.

My husband and I took our kids/grandkids for the weekend, the guest services/check-in were the stars from start to finish. Always patient, friendly and helpful. The kids and their kids stayed in the main house, my husband and I stayed in the "guest" house, loved how convenient that was, allowed PaPa to handle his fantasy football draft with some much needed quiet. Would definitely visit this property again, kids loved the screened in porch, one said "I want to stay here forever" Plenty of room for people to have their own space yet areas where you could spend quality family time when you wanted to huddle as a family. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Perfect resort community for our get together. Main house very clean, appreciate new flooring and finishings. Bedrooms decorated very well. Kitchen was wonderful for all of us to gather. Park across street great for kids to play and enjoyed the fire pit and chair set up. New cups in cabinet never washed and with plastic inside, price tags on, not ready to use. Kitchen adequately stocked, new appliances and stove. No ice machine on fridge. Washer and dryer not hooked up/working in main house. Also a water leak to basement coming out a power outlet after running the dishwasher. I think they are mid-renovations and were not quite ready for us unfortunately.Property management extremely responsive, got washer working and dried our load in a dryer in the garage.Guest house with old dirty carpet, otherwise nice and good for a family wanting some privacy. All in all was a perfect trip for our extended family of all ages. Thank you.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great facility, weather was 90+ everyday, the AC went out Wednesday afternoon, when we notified the office. The feed from the condeser was frozen, and portable units were brought in to make the house livable. The staff was very nice, responded to our needs and came out the next day and fixed the problem.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful week in the Austin rise house however the kitchen cookware was very disappointing. We have been coming to beachwalk several years and these were the worst cookware we have had. Bedrooms and bathrooms terrific. The living room was too small for family to watch movies together

The Beachwalk Roses are Pretty Sweet

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our week at The Roses! This property has great bones and lots of charm. The location is perfect within the Beachwalk community. A short walk to the tennis court, cafe, pool and Lake Kai. It sits directly across from a park where we played daily wiffle ball! The wrap-around porch is amazing. The house and guest house easily accommodated our group of 14. There were multiple small issues with the house and the maintenance team was quick to respond. Overall, the home could benefit from a refresh all around but it is great of you don’t mind outdated appliances and fixtures.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The garage door would not open. The gas grills were a mess and broken. The plumbing leaked under the sink. The stove knob was broken. The microwave has a broken piece. The was a lack of towels and sheets. The Beachwalk workers did a good job of fixing the majority of issues, but the owners need to provide a better quality experience.

Good location at Beachwalk

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Roses fits our family’s needs for bedroomoptions. It’s close enough to walk to the pool and club house at Beachwalk. Park is across the street and kids could enjoy the open space. Golf cart is a plus for older members of our family. We especially like the large screened porch. Grills were not in working condition. So make a plan B if your meals include a grill. Gas stove in main house didn’t work well-burners stayed on and “off” wasn’t always off. House was clean when we arrived. Furniture in tv room had a lot of stains. TV room is small. Lots of table space for eating indoors and table on the porch. We enjoyed severalgame nights at the tables. Fire pit area is very nice. Kitchen wellsupplies.

Our parents requested a vacation in Mi for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. While we didn’t end up in Michigan, Michigan City Indiana, was a beautiful alternative. We stayed at the colorful & vibrant Beachwalk Resort, which offered plenty of activities & charm. The home had a fantastic screened-in wraparound porch & fire pit. Our group of 15 fit comfortably, with a sibling group splitting the 3rd fl, 4 couples occupying 2nd fl, parents enjoying a main fl bedroom w/an attached bath & another couple occupying the guest house. Guest house was fully equipped w/its own amenities, though it has stairs. We contacted the resort after we left regarding an item left & they contacted the next day letting us know it was found. The location was convenient—just a 5 min drive to Washington Beach w/paid parking, easy access & another beach entrance was within walking distance, though a bit more of a trek. We also visited Indiana Dunes National Park, 20 mins away, 40 mins to vistor center. Essentials were nearby including Al’s Supermarket & firewood sold a block away. That said, there were a few downsides: kitchen was disorganized, some broken cookware, & only 1 of 4 grills worked (barely). Guest house lacked cookware but the main house had enough to share. The resort lake is best for kayaking, paddleboarding, ect not swimming but Lake Michigan’s beach is close!Overall this spacious home is great for lg groups, Wed stay again & w/some care & organization to the kitchen it would be better.

The additional downstairs room made a great place for the kids to play and the adults to go when it was quiet time. This is our third time and we have recommended and been asked by many where this place is because it is so beautiful. We will be back in two years again.

Back again

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: New and updated outdoor firepit space was great. Utilized the addition of garage frig for our drinks. There are some tired mattresses and others that are in great shape. The gathering TV room is small but that works for our group. Has doors that close so the TV watchers are separated from the game players at the tables. Great table space for large group that includes tables on screened porch. No coffee maker for k-cups this year. Skillets were difficult to cook with as the coating was worn off and scratched. Can find anything you’ll need in the kitchen. Crib and pack n play available. High chair and booster seat for the little ones needed a big scrub down this year. The large screened porch is a favorite feature for our group. The location is one of the best at Beachwalk. We have stayed in 5 other homes through the years. The bedroom set up works great for our family. Enjoyed our stay and plan to be back at The Roses next year.
