Central Avenue Cottages is licensed by the city of Ashland and is a charming turn of the Century house that has been tastefully remodeled to accommodate the needs of seasoned travelers.
Surrounded by gorgeous gardens and located in the quiet historic district, this gem is just 2 blocks from the heart of downtown Ashland. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival Theaters, fine and casual dining, shopping, and beautiful Lithia Park are a short walk away.

A comfortable home in central Ashland

A very quiet, relaxing location just a few blocks from central Ashland. Beautiful private grounds saw us sitting, reading, and eating outdoors. A cozy, comfortable house with all necessary conveniences.

Ashland Gem

My wife and I stayed here over Thanksgiving, and our stay was extremely comfortable and pleasant. The host was welcoming and helpfully communicative, and even gifted us some homemmeade cranberry relish!

A terrific vacation

The house is lovely and charming, and fully stocked. It is in a great part of town, within easy walking distance to the theater, park, restaurants, etc. We all agreed we would like to move in!

Terrific spot

This house was an amazing spot for two couples sharing a few days of play going and hanging out. Location was great, just blocks from the downtown shops, restaurants and theaters. House was comfortable, well stocked and had the perfect combination of common spaces to socialize and individual bedroom and bath spaces for some private time.

Amazing location

Just had a great 3 month stay! Loved the neighborhood and the easy access to the plaza, hiking trails and all the great stuff Ashland has to offer. Lois was a great host. Very communicative and helpful.

Another Great Stay

Our third stay in this Ashland cottage. A comfortable, well appointed home in a great location just a few blocks from downtown Ashland. Perfect place for walking to the theater, hiking or biking the park and watershed, or just visiting local restaurants. In a very cute, quiet neighborhood with a lovely landscaped private yard that made outdoor dining a pleasure. We have been going to Ashland since 1992, and this is by far our favorite place to stay.

Nice cottage close to downtown

Cute well maintained house, the smoke in the air cancelled our theatre so we left early but we enjoyed the nicely appointed house and pleasant front yard

Splendid

Always a pleasure to stay at the Central Avenue Cottage. Great location for walking to the theatres and restaurants, yet quiet and it is not uncommon to share the sidewalk with deer. The home is always clean, well-supplied, has good WiFi. We stay here often!

Perfect Ashland Cottage

Very attractive Bungalow with a beautiful private garden and a comfy sitting porch. Just a few easy blocks to downtown Ashland, the Play venues, restaurants a the gorgeous Lithia Watershed park. Very clean and well appointed. Friendly and helpful host. We will definitely stay again.

Our Second Great Visit

Thai was a return trip the the property. A clean, comfortable, well appointed house in a great part of Ashland. A quiet and beautiful garden made sitting outside a pleasure. We will be back.

Cozy Cottage with GREAT Location

Cental Avenue Cottage was perfect for us, 2 adult couples. Located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Ashland. Easy walk to Lithia Park, shops, groceries (Ashland co-op) and especially the Shakespeare Festival theaters. Our host was quick to reply and very accommodating. The beds were comfortable, and kitchen equipped to make all our meals. Also, an inviting outdoor porch and patio space to enjoy. Thank you and we would love to stay at this place in the future.

Perfect Stay

This was our third time staying at this charming comfortable house. The “homey” feel is just perfect for me and my friend! We enjoy cooking our own meals in the fully stocked kitchen with lovely dishes and plenty of cookware and bakeware. The lush garden greenery feels so cozy and private and is visible through many windows. The close vicinity to town and theaters make this home so convenient on many levels!

I have lived and worked in this wonderful town for 30 years. I bought this home in 1986 with the dream that someday I would turn it into a travelers accommodation. Over the years I have carefully remodeled and restored this 1900 cottage and I welcomed my first visitors in 2008.
