Vista de Estrella is a mountain dream home--a true log cabin of glass and light. Set on more than half an acre, this gorgeously designed cabin is the very definition of getting away from it all. Rustic charm and elegant furnishings elevate this property with each window framing a perfect view of the San Jacinto National Forest for memory-making sunsets.

It's challenging to choose our favorite bedroom, as all three are well-sized and charming with unique decor that reflects the look and feel of the surrounding forest. For families with children, the backyard includes a charming, mini-play cabin.

Vista de Estrella is a place to catch up on naps, enjoy good long conversations with friends and family and dine against the backdrop of the mountains. Near Ernie Maxwell trail, South Ridge Trail, and May Valley Trail.

Look no further if you are looking for a great place to stay when visiting Idyllwild. This property is amazing ….clean and nicely decorated….secluded and serene …and the views were amazing. The home has all that you need to make your stay perfect. The process was smooth and the host was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to visiting again.

Great cabin. Decorated so cute. Very comfortable. Looks just like photos. Very, very clean which is super important to us so I really appreciated that aspect. Quite and serene neighborhood. Close to town (5 minutes). Host is very responsive. Would definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

This was our second stay at the cabin and it was as nice as the first. The cabin is immaculate and very nicely decorated. It is dog-friendly, with dog bowls, treats, and even poop bags provided. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with a glass of wine, appreciating the beautiful scenery and seeing the wildlife. We cooked a meal in the well appointed kitchen. The beds are extremely comfortable. In short, a perfect stay. Elizabeth is very good at responding to questions or any issues you might have. You couldn’t ask for a better host or a better place to stay.

The cabin was cozy and well supplied. Elizabeth was a terrific host who made sure our stay was pleasant. We enjoyed a fire each evening and played games, and talked, and fed squirrels the peanuts we’d brought. Our weekend was a great getaway in Idyllwild.

My family of 5 and dog enjoyed our stay here. The cabin and property are spacious. I loved the decor. Lots of reading nooks and a large deck to view the sunset. Good selection of books and puzzles. Kitchen well-stocked. The electric car charger was a nice bonus. There was an annual Idyllwild Adventure Pass to borrow hanging on the refrigerator. We received a home made loaf of lemon poppy seed bread upon arrival. The host reached out the day after arrival to make sure things were going smoothly. Overall a great stay and one of my favorite cabins.

We had a lovely stay. The cabin is perfect and the grounds are very beautiful. It feels good to be in the house. I would be delighted to stay there again.

Communication was fantastic. The house was really a gem. Decorated very nice and comfortable to be in from the get go. All the small touches added to the stay. This home is definitely not to be missed. The place was quiet and the views unreal! Treat yourself and take the plung! This home is special.

Really lovely mountain retreat

I enjoyed everything about this cozy yet spacious mountain cabin. Every amenity one could need seemed to be available……for instance, popcorn for the microwave and even an electrical connection to charge EV’s.

We loved our stay in Idyllwild. Elizabeth was fantastic to work with. She gave us great cabin instructions both to get there and to use for house lights, air ,etc. She even left us a sweet treat upon arrival.

Beautiful Birthday Stay

This vacation rental is comfortable, beautiful, and peaceful. Everything was great. The beds are comfy the host makes sure you are comfortable and happy. All in all I would definitely come back.
