Vista de Estrella is a mountain dream home--a true log cabin of glass and light. Set on more than half an acre, this gorgeously designed cabin is the very definition of getting away from it all. Rustic charm and elegant furnishings elevate this property with each window framing a perfect view of the San Jacinto National Forest for memory-making sunsets.

It's challenging to choose our favorite bedroom, as all three are well-sized and charming with unique decor that reflects the look and feel of the surrounding forest. For families with children, the backyard includes a charming, mini-play cabin.

Vista de Estrella is a place to catch up on naps, enjoy good long conversations with friends and family and dine against the backdrop of the mountains. Near Ernie Maxwell trail, South Ridge Trail, and May Valley Trail.

Pure Bliss

So fortunate to find this beautiful property. My sister, my best friend and I just had the best time. Elizabeth added so many personal touches and such clear,concise directions. There was no need to have to contact her for anything. It’s very quiet and serene and every window has a beautiful view

Beautiful Birthday Stay

This vacation rental is comfortable, beautiful, and peaceful. Everything was great. The beds are comfy the host makes sure you are comfortable and happy. All in all I would definitely come back.

Weekend family getaway

Had a very enjoyable weekend stay at the designer cabin treehouse. It was clean and stocked with everything we might need. Perfect for a family of 5 adults and our family dog. The views were great out of our windows on the second story. And we loved the unique pictures and fun statues that lined the inside walls of the property.

Lovely cabin in Idyllwild

Loved the cabin! Really enjoyed the 2 large decks out back. Great view! Large, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Enjoyed the decor. I would recommend this cabin highly!

Sweet cabin with a view

My husband and I enjoyed our two days stay this beautiful cabin. The difference between this place and so many other rentals is that it is so much more like a home than an IKEA showroom. It is clear that Elizabeth took pains to cover all the bases. In my opinion, she has great taste as well. The place was well appointed and we were not wanting for anything. Enjoy the feeling of isolation and quiet. Would not hesitate to book this place again while visiting this cute little town. Enjoyed hiking area as well.

A beautiful home

Our group had a wonderful time at the property. Check-in was smooth and the host was easy to communicate with throughout the stay. The entire cabin is well decorated and comfortable. There are beautiful views out of every window! We wouldn't hesitate to book the cabin again if we were coming to the area.

Amazing cabin with great views

I loved everything abt this cabin it was high up with a great view from the living room and the cabin was amazing. My kids had a blast there playing in the snow and having fires at night. Is abt 10 mins from the restaurants in town and the owner is easy to get ahold of and is very helpful. Me and my family can't wait to go back to this cabin definitely family friendly.

Very cute cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the cabin. It was so cute and cozy yet spacious and had everything we needed. The two decks are amazing and the views are great! Elizabeth was a great communicator and we felt super welcome. We would definitely come back again! (-:

Family retreat in Idyllwild

We found this enchanting and spacious log cabin to be wonderful place to get away and unwind for a few days. Elizabeth was a gracious and thoughtful host, equipping the comfortable cabin with everything we could possibly need during our stay, along with a generous basket of snacks and treats! Our grandkids enjoyed sledding and playing in the snow, and we never had to leave the property! This was a perfect place for our family of 5 to connect and relax, and we would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful

This cabin is so thoughtfully and beautifully appointed... everything is so cute, comfortable and well curated for the traveling family with pets. Everything is comfortable... with plenty of room for everyone to sit outside or inside... so quiet and tranquil... perfect for napping or bird watching... we even had a deer visitor outside our living room window nibbling on the manzanita trees... the host was soooo wonderful and accommodating... she thought of everything,,, from board games to great books...truthfully you couldn't ask for a better place ... we can't wait to come again... thank you!

Our Idyllwild get-away

We had a wonderful few days at Vista de Estrella. The house was ideal--lovely and comfortable and cozy, and the perfect place to be in the midst of the foggy weather. While we weren't able to enjoy the decks because of the weather, the views from all windows were fantastic, and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in the mountains. From the fun decor to the comfortable beds and the wildlife outside, this is a great place to be! None of us wanted to leave and we all vow to return.

AWESOME- WILL BOOK AGAIN!

We enjoyed a quick getaway here, with our dog and family. Of course this property and owner are well-reviewed! The cabin has adorable decor, comfortable seating and beds, bathrooms and a kitchen with all the necessities, lots of storage space in the bedrooms, good tv's and an amazing deck. Just a couple of minutes from town. Due to snow, we couldn't take advantage of the deck, but I plan to book again and will enjoy it then. The owner is very communicative and kind.

Do yourself a favor - stay here

Wonderful property. Funky in a great way. The manager could not have been more helpful. Instructions were left throughout the cabin concerning how things work; I wish everyone did this. We've visited several VRBO properties over the years and this was one of our favorites. Can't wait for the opportunity to revisit this outstanding property.

Sister Trip Celebrating 20 years!

My sisters and I booked this lovely cabin for our 20th annual sister trip. It was heavenly! Quiet, clean, plenty of space and lots of places to be together, inside and out. We loved our bedrooms and those comfy beds! We cooked our dinners in the spacious kitchen and ate inside or on the deck. We slept in-it's so quiet in this neighborhood. The property was charming and well-maintained. When we had a minor fixture problem, Elizabeth was quick to get it remedied for us. We hope to come back soon!

Amazing!

We are a family of 5 with 3 little boys, ages 2, 4, and 5. We always have problems between sleeping arrangements, TV, not kid friendly, etc everywhere we go. It is very rare for a rental to have everything we need. This time we even brought my MIL to help with the kids. We've stayed in quite a few rentals from hawaii to vegas. And this has by far been the BEST one! I felt so much at home. Like I was house sitting for an aunt, not at a strangers house. It was a full house. With everything from condiments to board games. They even had a 3 story wooden fort, a slide, and a sand box. This is the ultimate family home getaway. I also had several questions for the owner over the course of the last 2 months. She responded so quickly each time. This experience was simply the best and I'm sure we will try and get this cabin next time we are in Idyllwild.
