Set on a quiet street of early to mid-1900s vacation homes, this adorable 1948 Sylvan Town Cottage has been completely remodeled and offers luxury, convenience and tranquility. Uniquely, this particular street is so serene and relaxing, you'll forget just how close to town you are! Enjoy the gardens surrounding the home with various blooms for each season. Choose one of several routes to walk to putt-putt, downtown restaurants, several local breweries, the coffee shop, spa, shopping, and more.

-Split bedroom floor plan offers a spacious master bedroom with a king-sized bed and en suite bath, as well as a sitting area for two.

-Two more bedrooms are positioned on the other side of the living area, one with a beautiful full-sized bed with pillow-top mattress and closest to the second bathroom, and the other with a full-sized futon, which is comfortable for relaxing and reading, TV viewing, or sleeping.

-2 Smart TVs with streaming channels (no cable) - Netflix, Prime, etc.

-Well-stocked kitchen with full and single serve coffee pots, slow cooker, pots/pans, dishes and flatware for 12

-Weber charcoal grill with Rapidfire chimney starter

-3/4 mile to Oklawaha Greenway trail (walk or bike)

Truly enjoyed our stay. Coming from FL I found the driveway steep but remember an ant hill in FL is steep. Really was a nice stay very close to downtown but you do need to drive

Nice place, close to everything

Alleys are narrow and steep in the neighborhood but the home itself was very nice, with all the amenities we could ever need. Close to all the places we wanted to see.

Look No Further!!! This Is It!

Can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed my stay. This is the best little find in Hendersonville. You felt completely secluded, but yet you were near everything super quiet neighborhood with plenty of room for a girls weekend. Everything you need. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of sheets, towels, and blankets. I don’t think there is any way to improve this property. I will definitely rent here again on our next trip to Hendersonville. Communication was the best I have experienced. Answers within moments. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Sylvan Town Cottage

Super clean and cute! Everything was as expected, if not better. We loved sitting on the front porch in the mornings and evenings. We even got to see our first white squirrel! Also very convenient to downtown Hendersonville. Would highly recommend!

Seeing friends

We were very pleased with the home. She had provided all the little extras that make it pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and the master room and closets very spacious. When we had a small issue she was there immediately to take care of it. If we return to Hendersonville it would be great to stay again.

Family loved it!

Our family stayed at the house while visiting us. I appreciated that all was on one floor, games for children, and family thought the beds and bathroom towels were great! Owner answered all questions and was very helpful. The house was very close to our location which made get togethers easy. It was a wonderful vrbo experience.

quiet relaxing stay

sandy was great the house was very relaxing, well kept i enjoyed the front porch the best two white squirrels played across the street every morning there were a lot of different birds singing we needed this since we were there for a funeral i will stay there again and that is the highest praise i can give

Peaceful location

This is a beautiful quiet location for a relaxing vacation. Beautiful well kept home that is close enough to downtown Hendersonville and major highways to get to all that is offered in the area.

Great respite in Hendersonville

We could not have asked for more gracious hosts and the cottage was spotless-a high priority for us. Joe and Sandy were very accessible if needed. Many daily necessities were provided such as laundry soap, tissues, dish soap, shampoo & conditioner, hair dryers, etc. The location is very convenient to restaurants, grocery stores and area highlights. We enjoyed a very nice and relaxing stay in this lovely home.

Fabulous place to stay

The little cottage is delightful. The master bedroom bed was extremely comfortable. The location is fabulous. 25 min drive to Triple Falls. 25 minute walk to downtown. Easy access to freeway to get to the Biltmore Estate in Ashville. A couple of good restaurants a few minutes walk away . . . and lots more if you want to go downtown. The washer/dryer were great. The kitchen has nearly everything I needed. Nice neighborhood . . . walked all around the area - great central location to all parts of town. I will, most definitely, stay here again if I return to Hendersonville. The owners are wonderful and responded to my texts quickly when I arrived and had a few questions.

Cute and cozy

This is our second time staying at this beautiful cottage. Our son and his family live here and when there are too many of us we stay at a rental. This cottage is roomy and so very comfortable and cozy. Everything you need is at your disposal. It's close to Asheville and surrounding areas. There is so much to here. I love Hendersonville's downtown, its picturesque! Sandy is wonderful, she will be there for all your needs. We can't wait to visit our family again and stay at this fantastic home. 😊

The property was very cozy and inviting. The beds were comfy and kitchen well stocked. Loved the neighborhood and felt very safe. Check-in and check-out was very easy. I would definitely stay again.

Good weekend getaway

Overall we enjoyed it and the starter supplies in the house were really great! The overhead fans didn't work well and the walk to town was longer than we expected but the house is cute and met our needs.

Peaceful & Quiet location….

Hats off to Joe and Sandy for all of the little extras to make our weeks vacation special. Their cottage/home is in the perfect area for getting to restaurants, etc., fairly quickly. We would surely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Hendersonville area to strongly consider this VRBO. We visited the towns of Bryson City, Maggie Valley, Brevard and Saluda. Took in a train ride, went to waterfalls that could basically be seen from the roadside (at 70 years plus, didn’t feel lie trekking through the woods) at at some nice restaurants and enjoyed the Fall Colors. It was a wonderful trip and the home made it extra special for my wife and me.

Great Stay at the Sylvan Cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sylvan Cottage! Sandy was such a great, communicative host - she always responded so promptly! The house was so clean and cozy, but still had room for our multi-generational group - my husband and I, my parents, our teenager, and our toddler all had plenty of space. The house is exactly as pictured in listing. We enjoyed the front porch under the turning fall leaves and several peaceful walks through the quiet neighborhood. We will use this house as our base in Hendersonville every time we come back!

Great stay for the cost!

When we arrived, I realized I hadn't filled out a document. That was my fault. The owner came over within 10 minutes with the document for me to sign and helped us get in the house. The house was super clean and perfect for our needs as we were there for a family wedding.

Cute bungalow

We stayed here a weekend on the way to another destination. We enjoyed this home so much. It was very clean and beds were very comfortable. It is close to downtown and several good restaurants nearby, We loved mornings on the porch watching all the birds and did get to see the white squirrels also. Kitchen was well stocked although we did not cook much. The only possible negative was the lack of cable for tv and needed to try to stream shows from our phones. The internet speed would not allow us to watch a movie one rainy night without serious buffering so we ended up just going to sleep early. Even with this loved the house.

We love being outdoors in this wonderful part of the world! One of our favorite outings is riding our bikes along the beautiful mountain roads, with the trek to Jump Off Rock being the most common. We also love hiking and exploring nature-scapes so close to home. We feel so blessed to live here and we love sharing about this town with our guests.

We moved about a mile from this property in 2018 and have absolutely LOVED the convenience of walking to town for coffee, lunch, or even dinner. We ride our bikes to Patton Park and hop on the Oklawaha Greenway. For a relatively small town, Hendersonville has many delicious restaurants and a vibrant downtown community with street festivals and music concerts in the summer months, as well as parades and celebrations for many holidays throughout the year.

Sylvan Town Cottage is close to parks, a bakery, bagel shop, day spa, restaurants, coffee shop, art gallery, putt-putt, shopping, theater, and hiking. Sidewalks run all the way to town. Easy access encourages outings in Asheville, Brevard, Flat Rock and surrounding areas.

When this unique and cozy cottage came available, we decided to purchase it and share it with guests who come to the area. We have another property, Penrose Mountain View Treehouse, near hiking in Transylvania County where we have enjoyed hosting many inspiring guests. It was only natural to expand our love of hospitality to Sylvan Town Cottage.
