Relax at our peaceful wooded retreat in Silver Lake/Mears, just minutes from the dunes, Lake Michigan, and Cedar Point Park. This cozy getaway sleeps 9 and offers private beach access, fast WiFi, and the perfect mix of comfort, privacy, and location for family vacations, dune trips, and quiet escapes.

Our 1,200+ sq ft home in Mears, better known as Silver Lake, is the perfect base for adventure and relaxation. Just minutes from Cedar Point Park, Pentwater River State Game Area, Lake Michigan, and Silver Lake Sand Dunes, you’ll be close to hiking, wildlife, fishing, canoeing, biking, snowmobile trails, wineries, lighthouse views, and unforgettable Lake Michigan sunsets. Charming downtown Pentwater is less than 15 minutes away, and Ludington State Park Beach is an easy drive for a day trip.

Whether you’re here for dune rides, beach days, trail adventures, or quiet evenings in nature, this is a great spot to enjoy the best of West Michigan.

Our favorite place to stay in Mears. We love this cozy home and look forward to our annual summer visit all year long. You couldn't ask for a better location if you want to relax outside of town after a long day of fun at the beach or in the dunes.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless and located in a peaceful, wooded area that made it feel like a true getaway. It was only a short drive to all the restaurants, dunes, and activities, so we had the best of both worlds—quiet relaxation and easy access to everything. The lake was just a minute away and was absolutely beautiful. It was calm, serene, and we practically had it all to ourselves, which made it even more special. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the most wonderful stay at Our Neck of the Woods! The cabin is beautiful! There were many extras that made it easier for us to relax and enjoy our family trip. We are hoping to come back next summer for a longer stay.

Great vacation!

We had an amazing time! The property was in a great location with a lot to do around the area with access to great beaches! The property was so cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay there again!

Everything we needed and super clean!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We loved the proximity to the beach and enjoyed riding our bikes down each day. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was great with communication as well. Definitely recommend!

Great time!

We enjoyed our stay here and all the nearby destinations. The house was beautiful and very clean. I would highly recommended staying here and we will definitely be booking again.

Beautiful Cabin Near Dunes

Fantastic property that is even better than the pictures show! Nice wooded setting. Close to dunes, beach, etc. Great place to stay!!

Perfect get away. Nice short walk to the beach. Stairs to the beach can be difficult for older folks but we had no issues.

Summer get away

We enjoyed the home in Mears. Since we only stayed two nights we couldn’t do everything we saw that there is to do in the area, we did have a great time. The home had everything we wanted during our stay. We would definitely come back again.

Great family getaway

We had such a great time staying at this cottage. It is beautifully decorated and completely updated with everything we could've possibly needed. Its on a very quiet road and so close to a beautiful beach that is just a minute down the road. We had such a good time and will definitely be back.

Great stay

3rd time staying here. Love the location for half the family to go to dunes, the other half across the road to lake mi beach. Love the big back deck for morning coffee or afternoon cocktail and reading. Love the firepit and walking around neighborhood.

We went out on a limb after coming up north from Illinois the past few years and decided to get a family vacation home to cherish all the memories... We thought it would be a great idea to share this with others.

Our property was built in 2019 with state of the art materials. It's literally in like new condition. We painstakingly put in months of work to get the home to the level it currently is in. Every little detail was reviewed to ensure people that stay here, including ourselves need nothing else to have a great time!!! Our family has vacationed in the Mears/Western Michigan area for several years. If this is your first stay to the area, I will venture to say that it will likely not be your last. Mears is in close proximity to all sorts of activities including biking, boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, beaches, beautiful Lake Michigan sunsets, small town shopping, great restaurants, snowmobiling, hunting, ice fishing-you name it. The people from the area are warm and friendly. There are plenty of Wineries to choose from in addition to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes which are just a hop, skip, and a jump away. You can also enjoy ATV/off-roading, and did I mention the views of Lake Michigan? It is our love for the area that has brought us to routinely vacation here.

ALL amenities are included to make you feel at home including, high speed Internet, roughly .75 acres of land with a generous size deck and patio. A huge outdoor block fire pit is provided for those cool nights to sit around and share stories with the family. Love the water? Take a 5 minute walk and you'll have direct access to over 800' of Lake Michigan shoreline with all its beauty!!
