Second time renter

The property was super clean, close to wineries, and very accomodating. There is everything you need. Great for a family or friend vacation gathering.

A Great Place for Families

We loved the privacy of the dead end road, and we felt like our kids were safe to play outside while we enjoyed the beautiful view from the back porch. The cabin was perfect for our 2 families, plenty of seating in the main room, the eating area, and the outdoor area. We also loved the location, very close Ferne Cliff State Park and not too far from Giant City State Park for hiking. We hope to stay here again!

Does not get better than this!!!!! EXCELLENT location, secluded but close to interstate, BEAUTIFUL views, and Plenty of both inside and outside. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Family Fun Paradise

Great, big place with a lot of property for littles to run on. Perfect for kid families and friends. 3 bedrooms each with a queen and a bunk. Amazing view of the surrounding mountains!

Spectacular views

Perfect location for our family trip! The pictures listed do not do the property justice. This hike is clean, spacious and has everything you need to make a wonderful meal. The covered porch kept us safe from the sun and rain. The beautiful views were breathtaking and relaxing. We wanted to take a kiddie pool with us but we weren't sure if we could or had access to a spigot. Luann not only allowed the pool but she made sure there was a hose we could use to fill it with. This was a great time and we hope to go back!!

Annual hunting trip

My husband and several friends go on an annual hunting trip to Shawnee national forest in Illinois. This was their first time staying at this house & everyone loved it! They said the view was amazing commendations were great and they will definitely book this house again.

Friend Trip

Reunion of friends now located in K.C. and Indy. The location was perfectly in the middle. Super convenient check in and out. Clean place, great view. Private location. Would definitely rent again.

Giant City State Park Getaway

The property setting was picturesque, spacious and nestled in the hills. The house was spotless and roomy, well equipped and homey. The location allowed us to experience both Giant City State Park and Ferne Clyffe State Park. What an amazing place for a much needed getaway. Note every posted review is 5 stars! So well deserved!

What a great weekend with the girls!

What a beautiful place. The cabin was easy to get to and centrally located near so much. It was a short drive to the wineries, hiking parks, and Marion was just a quick drive down the interstate. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We felt at home immediately. The hosts responded quickly to any questions. The only negative was that we were probably a week too early for the colors of fall. The view from the porch will be breathtaking when the colors change. If you want a homey place, close to Ferne Clyff, and the wineries this is the place for you.

Perfect for an outdoors focused trip

The house is very easy to get to and has beautiful views. Plenty of beds and lounging area and a nice open design with 2 full bathrooms. We saw deer and turkey on the property and heard some coyotes at night. The night sky is great in that area and you can see plenty of stars at night. There's also a fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating. The owner was super helpful and respond quickly every time, and even helped me out with a flat tire situation. Would definitely stay again!
