Beautiful Oceanfront Penthouse ~ Incredible Views ~ Pool

Get away from it all at this penthouse oceanfront paradise. The 180-degree views are spectacular from the common areas with a full wall of glass doors! Grab your morning coffee and sit on the expansive deck to watch the colorful sun rise over the horizon. Take a walk down the stairs and your toes are in the white sandy beach. And the beach— with the limited public access — is perfect for shell hunting, fishing, swimming, surfing, or just sitting! Spend the day watching the tide going out of the Inlet creating tide pools to wade in and then watch the tide rise as the waves splash against “The Rocks” - limestone and coquina formations. The beach seems to change every day. Finish your day with dinner — either cooked in your well- equipped kitchen or from one of the great local restaurants — taking in the pink and blue hues as the sun sets on a perfect Summer Haven day.

The third floor walk-up has an open concept living space with volume ceilings is great to gather for dinner after a day on the beach or to watch the big game.

When it is time to rest, the condominium has two large bedrooms -- one bedroom with a king bed and the second with two full size beds. For added flexibility, there is also a large sleeping nook accessed from the living/tv room (see images). The nook has a twin and full bed with a small sitting area.

Summer Haven Beach is located just south of Saint Augustine historic district by about 10 minutes. There are plenty of attractions near the rental – Fort Matanzas, Marineland, Fishing, State Parks, to name a few. If there is more, you are seeking, it is more you shall find. Head into Saint Augustine for some history and shopping. Continue north a bit for Jacksonville, and maybe take in a Jacksonville Jaguars NFL team. Possibly a round of golf in Sawgrass Ponte Vedra, or 18 holes at the World Golf Village?

Head south from the vacation rental to hit Flagler Beach, Daytona Beach, and eventually, Cape Canaveral. All within a short drive. Orlando theme parks like Disney and Universal Studios are just a day trip away. Relax at the beach, hit the theme parks, and come back for more relaxation at Crescent Beach.

Oceanview Deck

The location can't be beat. The oceanview deck is absolutely fantastic, and worthy of ten stars. The giant chocolate lab in unit 6 below us barked for 2 1/2 days straight and that was a significant distraction. Otherwise, the good far outweighed the bad.

Beach to ourselves

It was so quiet and had stunning views of the ocean. We watched the tide come up to our steps and move out into the inlet each day.Beach just steps from our condo.

Great location

The property is older and needs a bit of updating, but the location makes up for that issue. The website shows extra beds which were actually in a closet complete with duct work. Two adults slept there which was very challenging. Overall, it’s acceptable for the purposes we had.

Beautiful location

The best sunrise view! Lots of room and seating. I was especially impressed with how well stocked the kitchen is. Close to town and grocery store. I will say be ready for stairs, but it's worth it ! We had a great vacation here!

What a great setting on a rather secluded beach!

The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. The beach was fantastic and wonderful for walks with our dog. There are some great restaurants within about 5 or 6 miles in either direction. We'll be back!

Best Vacation Ever

We have a family of 6, my husband and I and our 4 children. The apartment we stayed in was wonderful and had everything we could have wanted or needed! The location was perfect and the beach was beautiful!! We will definitely be back:)

Perfect for Dogs!

If you’re looking for a place to take your dogs to the beach, this is it!! Easy beach access, not a ton of people, beautiful weather, and the best back porch ever. We loved every minute and wished we could stay longer. 10/10 will definitely be back.

What an absolutely stunning view!!! The property was just as described, even better. LOTS of stairs and every step was worth it! Has everything you could possibly want or need. I would absolutely stay again and again!!!

Absolutely Amazing

This property has everything you could possibly need while on vacation. Plenty of towels, beach towels, chairs and sand toys for the beach. Plenty of cooking supplies and dishes and even some spices cause we always forget....Very quiet if your not looking for crowds this is the place to go. Our family had a blast and can't wait to book this spot again for May and Oct next year.

This was perfect for me and my husband. Rights on the beach. Very private.

We would come back. Perfect location on the beach. Beautiful sunrises. We enjoyed 386 Fusion, Commander's Seafood and Elkhouse. We rented an umbrella and chair from Bill's Beach Rentals. They dropped off and picked up at condo.

Beautiful view

Excellent condo! Stunning view. The beach is almost a private beach with barely anyone else there. The stairs are manageable and make access to the condo perfect. Love it! Will be back.

Absolutely amazing

This is our second year here if that tells you anything. The views are amazing, very clean, very quiet and a great price.Has everything you need from blender for mixed drinks to beach toys. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. We will definitely return next year. Housekeeping does very good with their cleaning as well.

Awesome Location!

This was one of our favorite beach vacation destinations. We have stayed in lots of places from Virginia down to Florida. The location was perfect, it was wonderful to be able to just walk down the steps from the deck and straight onto the beach. The beach stretch is extremely private since there is a natural water barrier at both ends. We brought our 16 year old dog for what might be her last beach trip, and because the beach was so private, we were able to leave he off leash many times. The condo was perfect for our needs - lots of good storage space and my kids loved the nook.

A slice of heaven!

Absolutely hand downs the perfect place! Loved, loved, loved the low key location and private beach! It was a smaller condominium place, maybe 9 units and the people staying there were wonderful & kind. If your looking for a relaxing place with direct access to the beach at your doorstep, choose this place! St. Augustine is a short drive should you want to explore that area. There was pool access as well and covered parking for the unit we stayed in. It was fully equipped with all the essentials needed for cooking and also beach equipment for use. I am definitely going to be back!!

2023 Beach vacation

Great property. My husband and i stayed with our 19 and 21 year old sons and our two dachshunds. The beach is fantastic and dog friendly. It was not crowded. The covered porch is awesome and i stayed out there most of the time. My sons enjoyed surfing and being in the water. The covered parking was large enough to fit our yukon xl suv. We did not use the pool. The condo was stocked with everything you need for cooking. There were alot of stairs but we knew that from reading other reviews. I would stay there again.

Perfect!

We came here for our last hurrah before our babies are born! And we were so fortunate to have found this place! The unit had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the sunset every evening on the patio. The stairs were a lot for a pregnant lady, but I didn’t even feel the need to go down to the beach because the view was so spectacular on the patio. I’m so impressed with how clean everything was, especially for a rental that allows pets. Also thanks for the extra sanitizing for Coronavirus! Keep it up! We’ll be back soon!

The location and view are spectacular. The unit is dated and needs some upgrades. Very quiet place !

The view is one of a kind and breathtaking. You cannot beat the patio and will spend most of your time there !! Being able to walk right on the beach was just the best . The beach was just perfect and dog friendly. Very quiet place and great location . Pool was very clean . With that said the unit could use some updating . It was clean but some utensils and cooking supplies are rusty, doors and cabinets are broken, carpet is stained and moldy. The bedding was very nice and clean and comfortable beds. Some towels were spotted with stains and bleach spots but were clean . Some outlets did not work and there is a short in the microwave plug and it worked occasionally. Like a lot of the other reviews say … there are a lot of stairs so make sure to be ready for that , there are a lot .

Location, location, location!!

So, we had a bit of snag with our check in process as we asked for early check in, which was originally confirmed and then we were told we could not check in as early as we wanted and early check in was not guaranteed. This was a little annoying as we had confirmed the early check in the day before we left. That is the reason for the 3 stars. Otherwise, the keycode system couldn't have been easier. The only other gripe is the bed mattress in the master was a bit worn out and lumpy. That said, the early check in and the bed were minor blips on the radar once you take everything into account. We had an amazing time and the place is as advertised. Yes, lots of stairs, but we absolutely loved being able to walk right down the stairs onto the beach, and they were only really a pain when bringing suitcases up on the first day. Other than that, not an issue at all... assuming you don't have any elderly folks in your group who can't do stairs...but the view you get from climbing those stairs can't be beat, and the deck is so inviting since you have a roof overhead. Finally, location, location, location... this place is in the coolest, private, chill spot, and not far from restaurants, Publix or even downtown St. Augustine. If you are looking for crowds, go to St. Augustine, but if you are looking for a peaceful getaway where the kids and the dog have the beach mostly to themselves, then come here, you won't regret it! Amazing views

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean. It’s older but well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped. The views are wonderful! The beds were comfy with lots of pillows. The master bedroom shower was very spacious. You do have to climb a lot of stairs to get there, but the ocean view is worth it.
