Nice enough stay.

The stay was nice but there weren't enough towels and the toilet wouldn't flush before we left

Guest clogged the toilet before leaving checkout. Turned out they tried to flush wipes down the toilet and clogged the toilet. We had to call a plumber to fix the issue.

Good value

Good value close by nice neighborhood in old town Roseville. It was convenient for husband to work out if the house and for visiting family who live close by

Inside/Outside

Inside the house, things were fine. No complaints other than the drapes in front room, and dining area had over a foot of material resting on the floor, easily covering up heating vents - health/fire hazard? Outside the house, the yard is in total disrepair. Steep porch steps with no rail - another health risk for elderly people like us. Nice community. Nice house. Just needs better care.

Thanks for the feedback James! The drapes should not cover the vents unless you purposely cover them. You can neatly push them back a little when you close them. You don't want to ever cover them anyway because you want the heat/cool coming from the vent. Looks like our yard guy missed it during your stay. Would have been appreciated if you told me during your stay so I can notify our yard guy. We have monthly maintenance of the yard. Porch steps are to California build code, and don't require rail for a few number of steps. We've never had anyone mention they have trouble with the steps, but that's something we definitely can look into.

Only air TV unsafe steps

Could not figure the TV's out. Needed an apple app or something. You couldn't just turn them on. Not big on technology so I was really disappointed. No garbage in garage otherwise I would have taken it out. But the big. Not ADA safe. No handrails on very steep steps. Nothing for me to hold on to. Was scared of falling both up and down.

The location next to Roseville High is generally nice, but as a local who stayed here, I was somewhat disappointed with the house's condition. While I understand it’s an older home, the stains on the walls and dusty air vents were concerning, especially given the cleaning fee. You get what you pay for, I suppose. The house is very minimalistic with just the basics. On the plus side, the fridge and kitchen counters were quite clean, which I appreciated. However, I had to vacuum the floors as there was candy stuck in the carpet, and some electrical panels were pulled forward, making them unsafe to use. If you just need a place to sleep or get away during the day, it’s not awful. But for an extended stay, be prepared to do some cleaning before settling in. The owner seemed very communicative and friendly. Definitely some TLC needed to this location and I’m sure it’ll be a great place to stay. But as of now my review stays as it’s just alright.

UNSAFE - Do not rent!!!

In my opinion, this place is unsafe and a mess!! The yard is completely dead and nothing but VERY DRY weeds!! I would consider the yard a fire hazard. It appears that the yards have not been mowed or cared for in a very long time. The gate to the front yard is broken. The steps to the front porch areVERY steep, and do not have a handrail or ramp. I have severe back pain issues, so this made getting into the home very difficult and downright unsafe!!! There is an abandoned home in the “backyard”. The were no batteries in the TV remotes. The smoke detector batteries ran out and set off the alarm at approximately 3AM. There are several old mattresses in the garage and back yard. The driveway is cracked and not safe to even walk on. I tripped and nearly fell. There was only ONE partial roll of toilet paper, so I waited while my spouse ran to the store to get more!! The curtains are old and torn. The place is in desperate need of remodeling. Even if this place is “up to code”, it should not be rented out at all, until (at the very least) the steps are reconstructed and a handrail is installed. Cannot and will not not recommend this place!!! It has potential, it just needs owners that will put a little effort into it!! Hopefully the owners will see this review as a “wake up call” and do something about the flaws within this property!!

Great Location

Very nice home near downtown Roseville, which is a great location for getting around the area. Home is well kept; owner very responsive.

We Love Roseville!

Great location in Roseville; close to everything! Took walks every day to neighborhood park, downtown Roseville area, and The Fountains. House was comfortable and clean; Owner was accommodating and answered all questions we asked; and house was equipped with all necessities, including washer and dryer. We would definitely stay here again!
