The home was impeccably clean, nicely decorated. We felt very comfortable and safe and welcomed. Wendy was immediately responsive to any questions we had (which were very few). We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Lovely home with large back yard with green grass for your furbabies. Comfortable and well stocked. We visited North Rim Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion Canyon National Parks. All were spectacular and within relatively short drive. Communication with host was excellent. I would recommend this home.

Loved the fenced in yard it was perfect for my dog. The house is setup nicely to support chill time as you recover from the adventures of the day.

Wendy was the best host I have ever had, the place was perfect for my mother and I. She will be 90 next year and we came to this part of the country to see nature at her best. She really enjoyed the trip and having a home to rest ever evening that was a perk. She keeps the house filled with anything you would need. Also, pets welcomed in the beautiful back fenced yard. Will definitely be back.

We didn’t have any pets with us but the set up was perfect for fur babies!The main suggestion was to install safety grab bars in the bathtub/showers.The home was in a great location to Best Friends sanctuary and plenty of biking and hiking trails.I would highly recommend this home and I would stay here again!

Stayed here for two nights. It was well equipped, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, and we especially appreciated being able to have our dog with us. I could tell the owners love dogs and made great accommodations for pets. Lighting was a bit dim in family room but other than that we really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others. Within walking distance of downtown area with coffee shops and restaurants.

It was our first time in Kanab, The town feels like old school USA. The highlights of the house for us were:1. The fenced yard, which our dogs loved. There was a fire pit which we did not get a chance to use. The host also supplied wood.2. The master bath - if you like taking baths you will like this tub. This bath is by far the nicest amenity in the house.3. The walk to the park nearby. The local park, Hamblin park (2-3 block walk) has a pool area, splash pad, playground and skate park. All with a beautiful red cliffs backdrop.We were on our way to another destination and decided to be nice to ourselves and stay here as a mid point. It did not disappoint. Would book again.

Smell of dog pee and visible dog stains on carpet/furniture was a bummer (you can tell cleaning crew, management, owner, etc. doesn’t inspect after each guest with black light); otherwise property was clean. A bit musty & dated (wood cutting board built into stone kitchen counter top – not very sanitary). Narrow stairs/steep ramp/gate without handle were awkward to navigate. Dining table was small. Backyard sitting area could be improved dramatically; view into neighbors dirt back yard is not very appealing... a few padded chairs would also be nice. Outdoor images on listing appear to be YEARS old since trees in back are much larger… and front tree was overgrown, requiring ducking down to get to front porch on pavers from driveway. Primary bed was comfortable. Neighborhood fairly quiet. Nice view of mountains from kitchen. Close to downtown and local sites. Some cute pet décor, raised bed/pad, dog gate, toys, etc. for dogs. We were passing through on our way to Provo area… my husband, dog & I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Fabulous dog stay

Well equipped house in great location. Big fully fenced yard and even a dog door. We enjoyed our stay here.

The property is a blessing for dogs and serves them well. The neighborhood is very family friendly with streets to walk and ride bikes on. The back yard is peaceful and I was able to watch sunrises and sunsets and see the moon as it progressed through its stages including a full moon and eclipse. This was an awesome blessing and healing experience for me. The hosts are very fair and understanding of my needs.

Perfect Little Getaway House

We loved staying at Riley's Retreat because of the convenient and beautiful location, the comfort of the furnishings, and how well stocked the kitchen was. The doggy items provided (bed, blankets, toys, water bowl, and poop bags) were such a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved your vrbo

We stayed 1 night with our 2 dogs! Loved the yard and doggie door!! The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped with everything we could possibly need! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others as well!

Dog Friendly in Kanab

We really appreciated staying in such a dog friendly home. Daisy loved the fenced backyard. Also the kitchen was well stocked which was great. Beds were comfy. Master bathroom was very nice. Thank you again for having us!

The location was great for site seeing. We traveled with two small dogs, so the fenced yard was great to have. However, the yard and outside area could be cleared of weeds, dead leaves and long grass around the perimeter. The home was comfortable and clean inside. Response time was quick regarding a few questions upon check in.

Nice property

The property was very nice and well kept. The yard was my main reason for selecting this property and it did not disappoint. I have an 18 month old black lab that is used to desert landscaping and he loved the huge yard of grass. He played hard and slept well.
