Savor the sand between your toes, stunning sunsets, and beautiful beaches of Oak Island while enjoying our spacious, open floor-plan 5 bedroom home. 3 bedrooms are on first floor with 2 full baths, and a large screened-in porch perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. Upstairs is another bedroom, full bath, and cozy loft with 4 built-in bunkbeds and two huge bean bag chairs - the perfect hang-out area for the kids! Sleeps 14 and pet friendly (dogs only).

The house is located on a peaceful, quiet street, just 0.5 miles from the beach with lots of parking at the public beach access. It is a half a block from the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), with a public pier just 0.2 miles away, and a boat ramp just 0.3 miles away. Minutes from Publix, Food Lion, beach stores, and multiple restaurants (including the famous BBQ House and Scoops ice cream and donut shop, which are within walking distance).

The fully-stocked kitchen includes a Kitchen Aid mixer, large crockpot, electric griddle, waffle maker, lots of serving bowls, all the basic spices, and a coffee maker - making cooking a breeze! Other amenities include a large pantry, charcoal grill in the backyard, TV in every room, washer and dryer, central HVAC, a 2nd refrigerator/freezer, and extra coolers in the garage. Bikes, beach toys, a beach buggy, and cornhole are available for guest use. The outdoor shower is ideal for quick clean-ups after a day at the beach.

All beds have comforters, mattress pads, and pillows. Bed linens are provided in a clean packet on your bed along with a bath towel and washcloth for each guest. Please bring your own beach towels.

Spacious, Well-Equipped Home Perfect for Families

We had an amazing stay. The house offered plenty of sleeping options, making it perfect for a large group. There were many games for the younger kids to enjoy, and the upstairs nook provided a great space for the older kids to have their own area. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare a holiday feast, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The house is conveniently located close to grocery stores, restaurants, and the beach. We didn’t try walking due to the cold weather, but in warmer months, I’m sure the walk wouldn’t be too bad. The variety of family games and activities kept everyone entertained. We’ll definitely consider returning in the future.

House is very accommodating for larger groups or families. I personally like the intercostal side, especially when I bring the boat. Would defiantly stay here again. Host Cynthia was very responsive and informative.

Perfect Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We get together with our friends annually at a different location as we live in Richmond, VA and they live in Charlotte, NC. It was the perfect house with a fun bunk room for the four kiddos and spacious rooms for the four adults. The location was perfect… got to walk our dog by the Intercoastal Waterway to see sunrise then walk to the beach in less than a mile. Absolutely perfect location! Owners were great and provided great communication.

Perfect Family Stay

We had our first full family vacation years here. It was the perfect stay with the most amazing and helpful hosts. The house was well equipped for cooking for a crowd every night. The kids loved the bunk beds and the adults loved the back patio.

Perfect fit

The house was a perfect fit for our family gathering. There was lots of space for everyone. The loft space upstairs was perfect for the kids. We had good hot water when all 3 showers were running. The kitchen had a good variety of pans and appliances. The the keypad entrance was perfect, very easy to use, we didn’t have to worry about keys. Great location with Publix at the end of the street. Stop light one street over made it very easy to get on to the the main road. They seemed to have put a lot of thought in to the house.

Great Family Property

Full House

The house was great! We traveled with 4 adults and 9 kids and there was plenty of space for all of us not to feel smooshed. The kids loved the bunk room, been bag chairs, ample beach toys, boogie boards, and that the donut and ice cream place was 2 blocks away. The adults loved the screened in porch for morning coffee, fully stocked kitchen, and everyone was thankful for the outdoor shower when coming home from the beach. The house is very close to 2 grocery stores and multiple restaurants as well. The owners were kind and quick to respond anytime I had a question! We would love to come back!

Nice quick stay

Thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful home :) It was perfect for what we needed, kids loved the bunk room and the bean bag chairs. Appreciated everything being labeled so easy to find things, and lots of hooks in upstairs bathroom. :). Driveway was also big enough for two pickup trucks and our Excursion 👍

Oak Island Pledge The Punk

My friends and I met on Oak Island for the Pledge The Pink 33.3 mile breast cancer awareness walk. Cindy and Mark’s home was perfectly located for this event and, was a comfortable fit for us. The screened porch was a relaxing area to share dinner, laughter and make more memories. Thank you for opening your home!

Perfect place!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was perfect for our family…the adults all had nice, comfortable rooms and the kids loved the bunk beds. Previous renters were right about the porch - it is a great place to hang out! Only wish the back yard was fenced in. We’ll come back again!

Tranquil Harbor

Property was beautiful, clean, comfortable, large enough for everyone. Safe, secure. Kitchen was great, every drawer and cabinet labeled; has everything you need. Beds were very comfortable. Great location to beach and intercoastal waterway. Golf cart rental is a must. Local area restaurants/bars were very nice. Looking forward to coming down to Oak Island again.

Very relaxing!!

Our stay was great this past week on Oak Island! This was our first visit to OKI and we loved it! The house worked wonderfully for our family!! The teenagers had their own oasis upstairs and the adults were downstairs. The house was very well equipped and the owners were very responsive to any questions we had!!

Lovely Stay at Oak Island

The house is just as described and is lovely. It has ample bedroom space and a wonderful screened porch that we really enjoyed. There is everything you could want in the kitchen and the garage is well stocked as well. It's a nice quiet street and the kids had a great time riding the bikes provided. There was an issue with the dryer while we were there but they went over and above to quickly resolve the issue.

Great spot for large families!

We loved staying at this property! It was ideal for a week at the beach with my sister's family, my family, and my mom. The main bedrooms were on the first floor, so the teenager and college students had their own space upstairs.(That also meant that my mom didn't have to climb the stairs to get to her room, the kitchen, etc.) The bunk beds were ideal for them. The garage had a lot of items that were so convenient. We didn't use anything except the fridge and the storage area, but it was nice to have all the bikes, beach toys, chairs, corn hole game, etc. there just in case. The upstairs had so many board games and even books to choose from. The kitchen was well-appointed and had lots of spices, utensils, pots/pans, dishes, etc. We didn't need anything. Really, the house had everything possible to make the house comfortable. Our favorite spot was the screened-in porch. We sat out there most of the time enjoying the weather and each others' company. The beach is not within walking distance, but the owner does not hide this fact. We drove down every day, but beware: Oak Island is charging to park at the beach accesses now. It is $20/day or $80/week. That was something new and frustrating about the area. Also, we had to take two cars to the beach so all of us could be together, and finding an access with two available spots wasn't always easy. No fault of the owners AT ALL, but it's just something to think about and plan for. Great trip and property overall! Thanks again!

Blended Family vacation

This was our first family vacation with all of our children after our we marriage. Enough bedrooms, and enough space to make sure everyone had their own privacy, but yet we’re easily able to be part of the family unit. Had a great time we will be back.

Every detail thought of

Cindy was very easy to reach but I did not need a thing. This property was the most fully equipped and stocked VRBO that I have ever stayed at. Everything was labeled for easy use. The garage had an abundance of all needed for the beach. We had a fabulous time with being reunited with our daughter and son in law. There were umbrellas, pack and play, stroller for a person traveling with a child. The kitchen was so well stocked you didn’t need to bring extra trash bags, dish detergent etc. There was even a straw dispenser along with everything needed to cook, bake and serve meals. Such a pleasant surprise. Definitely would recommend and return!
