Enjoyed the cozy cottage. Close to beach. Very clean. Lots of extra amenities like coffee and kitchen supplies. Great yard for our dog.

Perfect whether you have pets or not! But if you do, the fenced in yard is great and you have no worries about bringing your fur babies.This host thought of EVERYTHING! We will definitely want to book again!

The space was great, inside and out. The fully fenced back yard was great for our dogs, especially our younger one who needs to release energy with zoomies!The house was clean and well stocked. We appreciated the little touches.If you are not used to traffic noise, please note you are on the main drag and it can get noisy at night, as the bedrooms are in the front. But we noticed the host placed sound machines on the nightstands, so you can easily cover that with ocean sounds. A thoughtful touch! We enjoyed our stay!

Great spot if you have dogs! House was cozy and has what you need, but the fenced in yard was the reason we chose this place! The yard itself isn’t perfect, but shaded and completely fenced in which gave us peace of mind with our 2 dogs. The walk to the beach is only about 2-2.5 blocks away. Quiet beach area every day to be honest. The dogs absolutely loved the beach, very nice to be able to walk them down. Overall great stay. Doesn’t hurt that Lil and John’s Sweetreat Ice Cream was just a 2 minute walk away either. Ice cream was SO good.

The Yellow Cottage is so clean and comfortable! The furnishings throughout the house are very nice and up-to-date. The bathrooms are big and newly renovated with plenty of high quality linens. A great stackable washer and dryer for use during your stay and modern kitchen are wonderful to have!We enjoyed the screened-in porch in the back in the mornings! Also, very close to the beaches - Oak Island and Caswell Beach.

The cottage was tastefully decorated and had a good backyard for dogs. Easy walk to the beach!It's on a main road, so there is traffic to watch for.We enjoyed our quick visit to Oak Island.

Nov 2025. - cozy well equipped cottage. Throughly enjoyed our stay. Easy walk to the beach. Host is very responsive to all questions. Location was close to everything needed during our stay.

Wonderful house. Clean and well stocked with spices, tea, etc. Would have rated a 5 if the grill had been working. Otherwise, LOVED the house.

Great home if traveling with your dog. Fenced yard and close to beach access (although you do have to cross a street that can have heavy traffic at certain times of day). Clean and comfortable accommodations. Well-stocked kitchen. Very convenient location, close to many local restaurants and area grocery stores.

Beautiful home

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend with our two dogs. Beautiful home with everything we needed for the stay. Very clean and great location. The dogs loved the fenced in back yard.

Lovely cottage close to beach access and restaurants. Very clean and the kitchen had everything you need. Appreciated the prompt friendly communication w the owner. Our dog loved the yard and deck. If you love a sunrise or sunset it was really easy to head to the beach from the house. We will definitely stay here next visit to OKI!

We absolutely loved this rental! Key points 1. Clean2. Extremely well stocked. We bring a ton to our rental vacations but this home had an extremely well stocked kitchen, pet amenities, comfortable linens and towels, first aid. Fully stocked bathrooms, outdoor shower, gated yard, gas grill and shed with beach stuff is a bonus. 3. Comfortable furniture 4. Walkable to stores and restaurants as well as easy beach access.5. Host communication was fast and friendly6. Check in was easy and check out was not super taxing. I have stayed at properties where they wanted you to do a crazy checklist on exit. Only down side was having to cross a pretty busy road and associated road noise but having never been to Oak Island we didn’t realize it was on the main thoroughfare. There were white noise machines provided to help which keep my kids asleep in the am. I would definitely recommend this rental property for a vacation with the entire family!! THANK YOU to our hosts!

This cozy little cottage was the perfect getaway. To start the host makes a wonderful impression as soon as you book by being so friendly, and quick to answer any questions you may have. They also made it known that they are there for you, and willing to help in any way during your stay. I have rented houses through VRBO numerous times and have never had such a friendly, helpful host. The house is a charming little cottage where you can relax and feel comfortable. It was well stocked and clean and perfect for our group. The location is close to shops and restaurants and just a short drive to Southport. My dog loved the fenced in back yard that was the perfect size for him to get outside and run around. I will definitely add this house to my favorites!
