Overall this is a solid rental and we had a great time.The positives: amazing location and view, quick walk to beach, response from host was very good, kitchen is well stocked with supplies, beach chairs, towels, etc.The negatives: space is in need of some upgrades, some have been done but seemed to be patched together. AC in living room is insufficient during daylight hours. Square footage is quite small compared to how it looks online. Little tight for a family of 4.For the price, not sure that I would do this particular rental again, but still (barely) beats the price of the hotel next door.

Beach view great Rooms were clean Pictures were outdated as there was more wear and tear on the furnature ( marks on coffee table). Bathrooms were clean, however somewhat run down

The view is to die for, however, the place its self is in need of serious update, especially the carpet. I dont recommend going barefoot at all as the millipeeds are everywhere...yes...in the house and the bed They were very thoughtful in what kitchen gadgets one would need to include a pizza cutter and ice cream scooper...we needed both.

We agree, the location of this property is truly special, and the owners have continued to invest in meaningful upgrades to enhance the guest experience. Over the past year, the home has received new air conditioning units, a new couch, and a new lanai, and the entire exterior is scheduled to be repainted soon. It's also worth mentioning that all of our carpets and upholstery are cleaned regularly. We take pest control very seriously, so much so that this property is professionally treated every other month by a licensed pest control company. During your stay, the unusual presence of millipedes coincided with a period of very heavy rain, which can occasionally cause pests to seek shelter indoors as they escape flooded outdoor conditions. While this is not something we commonly hear from guests, we understand how unpleasant it can be and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Great location and great management company overseeing the property. Super responsive. The location, you can take the elevator that is part of the Marriott Vacation Club down to the beach and be there in like 2-3 minutes.

Pleased with our stay! The house was exactly as advertised—clean, well-maintained, and in a fantastic location. The view was beautiful, and we especially enjoyed spending time relaxing on the deck. The BBQ grill was a great bonus, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals.The property is just a short walk to the beach and several restaurants, with grocery stores and excursion opportunities also conveniently nearby, making it an excellent home base for exploring the area.We did experience an issue with the air conditioning during our stay, but the owner was very responsive. Communication was prompt, and the repair was arranged and completed quickly, which we really appreciated.Overall, we had a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this property to others and would happily stay here again.One small recommendation for future guests: it would be helpful to note in the check-in instructions (and on the VRBO listing) that this is the downstairs unit. I may have overlooked it, but I initially spent a few minutes trying to enter through the front door before realizing the correct entrance. Adding that detail would make the arrival process even smoother.

great location with amazing view

can hear the waves crashing from the unit; excellent view and easy access to a wonderful, family friendly beach; unit was clean and well stocked; small kitchen but suited our needs; management was very responsive; beds were very comfortable; unit felt a little dated and getting worn but was cozy and comfortable.

Perfect location and size for us - two couples island hopping. We were close to the airport and many attractions. We easily accessed the rest of the island from this location. The view of the harbor was lovely.

Perfect Location. Gorgeous view

Really enjoyed our 50th wedding anniversary here. Property a little worn and used but made it feel more like a home, not a hotel. Super service when we accidentally locked ourselves out one night. Highlights of trip National Botanic Garden, helicopter ride, Gaylord restaurant, and Lydgate beach—great for seniors—all close by. Would stay here again.

A Great Place for the family

This place is a great location. The initial impression was that it looks a bit bigger and more modern in the photos than in person. The deck is wonderful, the place is quiet and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Can't beat the location. A bit of updating is needed but didn't affect the quality of our stay.

Price and location

1The location of property was great with a balcony that overlooked the bay. Beach was within walking distance as were Dukes restaurant and Skinny Mikes with great shaved ice and ice cream. The place is basic, no bells or whistles, but it was very pleasant and was clean, beds were comfortable. It was a reasonable price.

Beautiful view

The location of this place is perfect. The only draw back and no fault of the property owners is these large beautiful windows let in alot of afternoon sun making the whole living room so hot even with the a/c units on. If we were gone in the afternoon you can't tell.

Unbeatable View

This is a great location overlooking the bay/harbor with nice shops, restaurants, and rental facilities close by. It's also close to the airport and about midway between Waimea Canyon to the West and the beautiful beaches on the north part of the island. The staff in charge of coordinating the rental are exceptionally friendly and provided great communication. The unit itself is a little worn and outdated, but the view from the balcony makes it a great value.

Retro Vibes - AMAZING View

Agree with other reviewers that this property is in need of an update, but we embraced it and LOVED the view & location. House gives off retro vibes. Recommend a deeper cleaning for now - lots of ledges and shelves that were in need of wiping down. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the sunsets were beautiful.
