Black Bear Cabin - Amish Cabin 5 Miles From Glacier

Black Bear Cabin is a cozy, natural wood Amish-built cabin perfect for your Glacier National Park and Flathead Valley vacation. This cabin is just over five miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. New construction completed in 2022, this cabin sleeps six (two couples privately plus two twin beds in loft) and shares two partially wooded acres with another identical cabin (also on VRBO.com) on the north side of Coram, Montana. This cabin is 750 square feet in size with a combination living area, kitchen and dining room, two bedrooms, one full bathroom and a bonus loft area. Enjoy family time with board games, a large-screen HD TV with DirecTV, or enjoy the covered porch after a day of hiking in the park. The covered porch has an electric BBQ grill and seating. Both bedrooms have queen size beds. The bathroom has an extra large walk-in shower, and is equipped with a front loading washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked - prepare a gourmet meal for your friends and family and then relax after a day of exploration. This cabin was designed with comfort in mind, and includes all of the amenities you will need to make your Glacier National Park vacation one for the books.

Black bear cabin was perfect for our family. It was easy to get to the west glacier entrance of Glacier National Park. Any time I had a question, Holly got back to me right away. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Great property, very efficient design, clean and comfortable! Besides toiletries, it had everything we needed ( including bear spray) and everything was quality. The only problem we encountered was a stopped train blocking the road to the cabin twice. Thank you for the hospitality!!!

Thank you very much for the review, Sara! Yes, the railroad is revamping the West Glacier Train Station this summer (2026) and the train schedule is sporadic because of the construction. I have also noticed trains waiting to get through periodically.

Pros: super clean and has everything you need. Very close to west glacier and near other places in coram & hungry horse area. Worth staying at.Cons: trains come thru many times during day & night and its right next to the tracks. We have stayed all over and never seen or heard so much train movement in my life.Overall: worth staying, just know about the train noise at times.

Thank you very much for the review! The nearest railroad crossing is approx. 1/2 mile away, and we do see about 15-22 trains per twenty-four hours here. For those of you that don't know, the towns along the "highline" in Montana were built and founded around the Burlington Northern railroad tracks - even Glacier National Park is well known for it's historical ties to the railroad, as the railroad built most of the hotels in and around the park for their customer's pleasure. For future guests - these cabins (and LOTS of other rentals) are situated near the tracks, as the tracks run through all the towns around the national park.

Cabin was perfect for our family of 6 and our glacier trip. Cabin was clean and exactly what we were expecting. Host responded very quickly to all questions I had. Only complaint id have was the BBQ was electric (which I was made aware of before hand ) but they just cook a lot slower than propane or charcoal. It was still 100% worth every penny and Id definitely stay again.

Fantasticly clean, comfortable, and well-maintained cabin. We truly enjoyed the cabin itself and found it to be a very pleasant place to stay.However, **please be aware of the railroad tracks' location before booking.** The cabin is less than 1,000 feet from a very active railroad line, and trains run throughout the night, every night. Train horns were frequent and loud enough to jolt us awake repeatedly. We stayed for a full week and unfortunately never had a decent night's sleep because of the constant train noise.If you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, I would strongly recommend taking this into consideration before booking. The cabin itself is wonderful; the nighttime train noise was the only significant downside to our stay.

A beautiful little log cabin with easy access to GNP. It was cozy and warm with all the modern amenities and a great place to go back to after a long day of hiking. Would definitely recommend this place.

Check-in process was very easy and quick. The cabin was just like the pictures, very clean and neat. Had everything we needed, beds were very comfortable. It is in a fantastic location, very close to the Apgar entrance to Glacier National Park. I would definitely stay again.

Great Location and Clean Property

My family and I stayed here to visit Glacier National Park. Everything was clean and there was plenty of space for us. Our average drive time to the West Entrance was 10-15mins, which was really convinient.

Beautiful welcoming home. Well supplied for long distances travelers. Would definitely stay again. Really enjoyed the corn hole games at the home! Great location to stay for Glacier national park.
