Enjoy gin clear Crystal Lake from this 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom waterfront home, 100' lot. Three of the four bedrooms and the living room have super views of Crystal Lake. Trex decks on both levels, highly efficient natural gas central heat and AC, high speed Wi-fi, new den on the lake, new driveway and smart HD TVs. Kitchen cabinets are now white. Please note, the smart HD TVs stream your Netflix, Amazon etc but we discontinued satellite TV.
House comes with 2 kayaks and 2 stand up paddleboards.
Lake level, queen bedroom on the lake, queen bedroom off the lake, den on the lake with 6 twin beds (bunk bed, trundle bed and 2 twins), and the upstairs bedroom on the lake has a king bed and second level deck on the water.

Located just 7 minutes from the historic Betsie Lighthouse, 10 minutes from the beautiful Lake Michigan Beach in Frankfort and 10 minutes from downtown Beulah, 25 miles south of Sleeping Bear Dunes.

New circular driveway offers parking for 5 cars, or a trailer and 4 cars. I'll respond to inquiries right away unless I'm in the air.

Location is everything

Lake front and totally private; we fell asleep to the waves. The location is what makes this property incredible. We spent almost all of our time outside and enjoyed it thoroughly, including plenty of boats, chairs, and sand tots provided by the owner. There is a weirdly heavy infestation of fruit flies throughout the house that was unpleasant, some of the linens weren’t clean, and a few lights didn’t work. Peter was a responsive and gracious host!

Crystal Lake is beautiful and in a great part of Michigan. Close to Frankfort, Glen Arbor, Leland & Traverse City. Lots to do!

Wonderful property

The property is a real marvel, located right in front of crystal lake with breath taking view. The house is clean, cozy and can easily accommodate a big family or couple of families. The host Pete - is very resourceful and kind, eager to help and accomodate. Check in and out was very easy. This property is highly recommended. I’ll certainly visit this place

Lovely lake house and views!

This beautiful house is right on Crystal Lake with fantastic views from most of the house and from the beautiful deck. We really appreciated the well-appointed, immaculately clean and comfortable home. We appreciated Peter's hospitality, checking with us to ensure we had everything we needed (which we did)! We would definitely recommend this for a lakeside get away!

Disappointing experience!

Upon check-in, we noticed the house was unkept & extremely dirty. The home carried a strong musty/mildew odor & felt damp. We immediately noticed mouse droppings on the floor, cabinets, as well as the drawers that contained silverware and utensils. The windows & slider doors were filthy & were littered with spiderwebs, dirt, & dead bugs. Both of the slider doors facing the lake would not lock, which created a safety concern. Both the upper & lower decks were covered in spiderwebs and hadn't been cleaned for some time. This made enjoying a beautiful view a bit challenging especially when dodging deck spiders. Two of the beds contained dirty linens, hair, and were not fresh. Later in the week we noticed multiple cockroaches in the lower bedroom and dresser. The overall condition of the home and property was well short of our expectations. We immediately reached out to Peter and expressed our concerns. Rather than disrupting our stay, we agreed to address our concerns prior to check-out. On two occasions, Peter entered the house without our consent which was very concerning and a clear violation of VRBO's policy. Upon check out we reached out to Peter to mitigate the issues & come to a compromise. He quickly became agitated and either deflected or would not acknowledge the issues we identified & documented during our stay. Peter's attitude towards our complaints lacked empathy & he became combative. As long time VRBO renters we have never experienced such a disappointing stay.

Crystal Lake Family Vacation

My family of 8 had a wonderful week together at this property on Crystal Lake. Although we initially had some issues upon our arrival and first day, our host Peter responded quickly to resolve them and we were able to move on and enjoy our week on the lake and in the surrounding area. Much time was spent on the deck overlooking the lake relaxing. We enjoyed the stand up paddleboards and kayaks that were provided. We were able to prepare all our meals right there at the house utilizing the grill and full kitchen. We kept the windows and doors open to enjoy the fresh air flowing through and the beautiful sounds of the lake.

It’s a “Home Boat”!

Some people have lake homes and some people have house boats. This is a home boat wherein we were rocked to sleep at night by the sounds of the waves (without the rocking boat or sea sickness) but nestled snug inside a loving home. While I love a 5 star hotel and AC when we are Chicago, we all loved life with all the windows and doors open and the feeling of truly being in nature and sweeping the sand our boys dragged in right back out the door. Our boats, Peter and his family, deserve a 6 star rating for the hosts with the Mosts.

Nice week stay in June

We have tried many cottage stays around Crystal Lake, and this was probably the nicest. Nice new updates like sliding doors and toilets, and looks like more updates in the works. The cottage is long along the lake so lots of views of the water, plus a nice deck, with shade when needed too. Nice dock with nice steps into the water. Pete, the owner was very responsive by text if needed. Situated about halfway between Frankfort and Buelah, on M22

Crystal Lake Vacation

We had a few issues initially but Pete responded quickly and fixed everything.the location was perfect close to the beach and sleeping bear dunes. The house was perfect for what we needed and the kayaks/paddle boards were a fun bonus.

Awesome location

Beautiful location on the lake. Property manager is quick to response. Beautiful deck for relaxing and grilling while we watch everyone swim. Water is clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Great lakeside property with responsive host

Extremely relaxing stay right on Crystal Lake with easy access to nearby towns and scenic areas and kayaks and SUPs available for daily time on the water. Great host - responsive, personable, communication a breeze. The house has plenty of space, with three bedrooms downstairs and a master suite "loft"-style upstairs. Super-fast WIFI with Roku-style TVs available.

Wonderful Week

Very clean, comfortable and well appointed property, right on the water (mere feet away) at one of the most beautiful blue inland lakes available in Michigan or anywhere else. Weather was mostly A+ and we spent much more time in residence than out being tourists as a result (not that Frankfort isn't a little gem in its own right with its available shops and restaurants). Peter was an outstanding host, welcoming and responsive at every turn. We have been Up North vacationers for many years and this vacation was certainly one of the very best.

The perfect getaway!

I cannot recommend this property enough. From the easy check-in process to the request for a late checkout, Peter went the extra mile to ensure I had what I needed. He was always available for quick communication and made me feel welcome. He even checked in on me personally during my stay. The property is gorgeous with amazing views and the house itself had all the amenities one could ask for! I will definitely be recommending this property to friends and family!

Dream Location!

My family and friends had such a wonderful stay at Peter's property on Crystal Lake. I've been vacationing up near Frankfort for years and this location was perfection! Right on the lake, 15 minute drive to Frankfort and Beulah, and also extremely to one of my favorite restaurants in the area - Rock's Landing! My friends and I loved the kayaks and paddle boards, and cooking in the well equipped kitchen. Communication with Peter was great, he was very responsive and helpful when we wanted to move the TV into the living room so we all could watch a movie. It has a great cottage feel and the double decker decks are the best place to watch the sunsets and have dinner. I hope we can return in the future!

Unbeatable Views

Had an awesome stay at this property. Being right on the "crystal" clear waters of Crystal Lake - how can you beat it! Was great having the canoes and SUPs. Only reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is there seemed to be a little fruit fly problem, but there were traps set up so it did get better and on our final day the downstairs bathroom plumbing was acting up - but since it was our last day and we had to be out by 10am, it didn't really affect us, but hopefully resolved for the next group.

Perfect location

This property is right on the lake. Adults enjoyed the deck and the view. Grandkids loved the dock, small beach and float pad. We rented a pontoon boat for a day so dock perfect to tie up to when returning for quick lunch. Close to several Lake Michigan beaches. Owner communication is excellent.

Fun on the water!

There were many things about this property that we thoroughly enjoyed. My 7 year old grandson had the time of his life on the lily pad not far from the dock. For the 1 1/2 year old, there was a sand area with a bench to sit on and sand toys to play with. The inside is as pictured on the web site. It fit our family of 8 perfectly. In the kitchen, outside of the refrigerator, they did not have any space for can goods. We just kept everything out on the countertop. The one problem we had was with the comfort of the beds. A couple of them were very uncomfortable. If I had known this I would have brought bed toppers to make my stay more enjoyable. The younger family members handled it just find. The queen bedroom with the lake view, was the most uncomfortable. However, the outside water area was perfect!

The house is close to everything, including Point Betsie Lighthouse, Sleeping Bear Dunes, golf, Frankfort, Lake Michigan Beaches, historic Garden Theater, Cherry Bowl drive in theater, Stormcloud brewery, Rocks Landing and Cherry Hut restaurants. There are fabulous hiking and mountain biking trails near by. Crystal Mountain golf and ski resort is 25 minutes away.
Crystal Lake is true to its name, gin clear, with a sandy bottom.
