The condo was lovely, larger than it looks in the photos and a few short steps to the beach. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Colony by the Sea 220

Complex was clean, centrally located with many amenities. The unit was spacious, perfect layout for a family. Unfortunately, the unit had a heavy smell of cigarette smoke. It was especially heavy around the kitchen.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were greeted with sand on the floors, dog hair on the furniture and dirty bathrooms- lots of sand in the bath.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in this unit before and loved it, but it was not as clean upon arrival. The only thing that had been cleaned was the sheets on the bed. We arrived late in the evening so we had to clean the bathrooms and vacuum. Later in the week I contacted the office and was just told they were sorry they had hired a new cleaning company this week for that reason. I have stayed here before and this unit has normally been very clean. For the amount we paid, we should not have had to clean ourselves. Like the location, but unsure at this time if we will return.

Great rental for a family of 5

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great rental for a family of 5. My kids ages are 10, 9, and 6. From the moment we opened the door we felt like we were at home away from home but very pampered with the Great view!!! My family of 5 spent a wonderful week in unit 220. The kitchen is supplied with several essential cooking pots,pans, dishes, knives, drink ware and cutlery. We spend our vacations making large breakfasts & large suppers. It had almost everything we needed. (One thing that was weird was they had the top half of a blender but no motor base) kids was hoping to make smoothies/Even tried shopping for a blender but we found nothing even at the nearest Walmart) but that didn’t worry us because there is an ice cream shop (Scoops) very close to the condo. We spent several days there as well. The beds were very comfortable and my kids even commented on the beds. There is 1 Double full bed and bunk beds in the kids room and a king size bed in the other bedroom. Looks as if the couch in the living room is a pull out bed. The hallway closet is stocked with beach toys to use and they even had beach chairs available as well!! We could’ve saved some space in our van with all the things that were available to us provided by the unit to use at the beach. The pool and hot tub is nice as well. This was our second year back to Colony by the Sea and I will say we enjoyed the safe family friendly environment on the property and the beach. It was a very relaxed and friendly environment. We met several condo owners and repeat condo family visitors. I can’t say it enough how nice and kind these people are!!! All of the kids who played in the pool played together like they were friends since they were little. And the adults were friendly and kind and easy to talk to. We will make another trip here in the future. Overall very satisfied with our stay!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great week at Condo 220. The place was clean and nice. Everthing we needed was in the condo including beach chairs and toys. The unit was clean and updated. The deck was delightful for morning coffee and family dinner Only issue was the couches had plywood under the cushions which made them a little uncomfortable. Also for some reason we would get a smell of smoke in kitchen area/living area of the condo. Couldn't figure out where the smell came from since if we went out on the deck we couldn't smell the smoke. Location was nice, quiet and a good location to run up to the Big Rock Marlin Tournament as well as down to Emerald Island.

Perfect "home" away from home

Reviewer Comments: Condo was better than the pictures implied. The living space and kitchen were large and well appointed. We immediately wished we had brought our kids or other friends/family to share in our enjoyment. We especially loved spending time on the deck - great view of the water. The property was clean as well. The beach is large and beautiful as well. Only negative was that I wish we could have just gone straight to the property to check in rather then go by the management company on our way in and way out.

Great property. Great location.

We really enjoyed this condo. Very well equipped. We wish we had known there were beach chairs there and it would have saved us extra cargo in our car. There was a slight cigarette smell every time we entered the unit but it wasn’t prevalent when you were in unit.

Recently Renovated

We enjoyed our stay at Colony by the Sea 220. The condo was spacious and recently renovated. The pool bathrooms do need some work but the overall property was beautiful and quiet. Perfect for families with small children. The beach isn’t as crowded as some of the other major vacation spots. We will definitely be back.

They are quick to help locate exactly what you're looking for and make sure that you have everything you need. Colony by the Sea 220 was perfection. It has recently been upgraded the furniture was very nice and tons of room. It has everything you could ever need as far as kitchen and cooking supplies, inside games and activities for the family, books, tv's in each room and even beach chairs. I'm not sure about wifi but I honestly forgot to ask. I can't say enough good things about Emerald Isle, Indian Beach and this rental specifically was amazing we will be renting here again next year. Thank you!

Great place to stay

Really enjoyed our stay, but make sure you remember your linens! Also, when we first walked in it smelled like a smoker was there but toward the end of the trip the smell went away- not sure if that was bc of a neighbor or just got used to it. Otherwise very spacious, great view, access to a pool and hot tub, and kitchen was amazing - wish mine was this nice!

Family Friendly

Unfortunately we are leaving today after a week long stay. I absolutely loved our time here. This was a wonderful space for my children and I to unwind and spend time as a family. Thank you to the owner for sharing your beautiful beach house!
